Thread 24. TTC #1 - It's been a tough start to the year but 2017 is still the year of the BFP

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

It's not been the best start of the year for most but we're still trying to keep it PMA

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

If these aren't PG symptoms, AF is coming in a big way. Had more spotting this morning, it was pinky... becoming skeptical.... :s

Flash, you def can, but I've read if it's for more than a couple of hours you want to put it in the fridge (ew, lol)

I think the pain has died down... sometimes I ovulate from both sides, so just waiting for the other side to have its turn...possibly.

Hello everyone! Haven't posted much on here but have been reading the thread. AF is due 10th Feb and I have a regular cycle so won't be testing until after that date if she doesn't arrive (here's hoping). I've been really busy at work recently and I'm going on holiday next week so it's all a welcome distraction from TTC!

As I'm not using OPKs or temping, I don't know for sure when I ovulate so decided to just DTD regularly throughout this cycle and see what happens. Fingers crossed!

4dpo over here - this is my favourite part of the TWW. Knowing we did our best in FW and enjoying being temporarily BBT and OPK free, next week will be a different matter am sure! Nothing to report other than some minor womble pains (probably wind), extreme fartyness, and goddamn rash is still on my face. It is actually a rash rather than spots - make up helps, but hate that bumpy look - bah.

Just having a quick catch up of the thread after not being on a couple of days.. lots of promising symptom spotting going on! I'm excited for the next lot of testers to see some BFPs!

Anyone got any tips for surviving the TWW?? It's my first one and I was sure I'd be cool, calm and collected.. but at 7DPO I've turned into a crazy lady prodding my boobs every 10 mins to try and find a symptom

Sooo many of you in the tww! I am predicting a glutton of bfps coming. London I have a feeling about this being your month, I really would be estastic for you.

flash your chart is fab, I reckon if you get several more high temps than you are probably pregnant.

Hmmm so cd 19 here. Possibly felt some ovulation pain on my left side this morning. However have also felt a tad windy today, so maybe it was just that! Come on ovaries, pop one out and get on with it will you!

carly I'd say try not to preg symptom spot (which is super hard I know) but quite a lot of symptoms of preg are same as AF so it's either confusing or disappointing. Do keep track of how you feel though if you figure out how your body feels at certain times of the month it can help! I'm going to give temping a proper go this month after failing last month haha. Obvs fx for BFP this month

carley welcome to two weeks of torture!!!! Apart from following the tops tips (pineapple, warm feet and so on) get plenty of sleep, and try to keep a positive frame of mind remember you cannot trust the boobs!!!

Speaking of PMA I am PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise - 8 weeks today).

Evening ladies. Just heading in to FW and trying to not over think it this month (hence the lack of posting, sorry). To be honest I don't think there's anything different I can do. Been there, seen it, bought the t-shirt! Just need to wait and see .

Looks like there's a good number coming up for testing. Law of averages means we are definitely due a few more bfp's . Fx everyone .

Looking forward to date night with OH this weekend. Have a comedy night booked, hopefully plenty of laughs to take our minds of ttc.

Missy I think that's a good idea :) You can't forget if you set an alarm for the same time every morning, when you will have had at least 3 hours solid sleep. I don't think different pjs will matter as my temps are either low or high with the same pjs, blankets and sleeping conditions.

Hurrah for new phone Jam. Your symptoms sounds promising. It's such a hard balance between wanting it so badly but trying to protect your heart at the same time.

Carley you've already had some great advice. I keep a note of how I feel for reference but try my best to keep distracted. If you want to test - set a date (like 12-14dpo depending on LP) and stick to it. Some months are worse than others though! It's hard to stop the crazy once it sets in.

kwick apologies. Did they not give you a wee copy of your scan you have had? I've obviously just assumed they did. My friend went through NHS treatment and got a pic of her wee blob/bean at 6 wks. Oh well, something good to look forward too then, your first little pic .

My nipples hurt now and I'm burping every 5 mins. If I'm not pregnant then life is unfair, and I may have a rare and exotic medical condition!

Is 11 dpo too early to test tomorrow if I'm due af on Wednesday/Thursday? I have no idea when to test as last time I took a test I was already a week overdue as I didn't realise.

I went to yoga today, it was lovely. Acupuncture tomorrow. I'm wondering if my acupuncturist will be able to detect pregnancy!

Thanks so much everyone for the good wishes on the house! Despite saying they'd get back to us by end of day they haven't. So it's probably bad news but still have a glimmer of hope. It's distracting me from ttc so that's good. 4dpo today and feel just the same as usual!

I used an internet cheapie this morning and this evening and they were whiter than white. But I'm not really surprised as I know they rent very sensitive.

Alexia that's exactly it - the heart protection. Drove back down the motorway this evening and was mentally going through all the things to be grateful for if when AF comes

Have spent ages getting new phone set up properly to discover my last back up was September 😳 so am now missing 4 months of period data. The app told me I am 137 days late. I wish!! Might actually have to scroll back through MN to find my day 1s 😩 do not want to relive those!

Im cd25, due on 10th with recent extended cycles. Boobs were agony this month (I think with ovulation as now improving a bit)- wish my body would give me the same symptoms at the same time every month so I could work out what on earths going on!

Massive temp drop and af here.
