Thread 24. TTC #1 - It's been a tough start to the year but 2017 is still the year of the BFP

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

It's not been the best start of the year for most but we're still trying to keep it PMA Star

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Three for two on FRERs (and other tests) at Boots ladies!

Skip sorry you're in pain. FX for you.

Tonks87 · 30/01/2017 13:33

Sorry about your phone London! I'd be completely lost without mine, DH says I'm addicted.

Hopefully the pain subsides Sk1pper and it causes you no trouble.

We bought a fixer upper 4years ago Harriet and did it up as we saved. We're 3/4 of the way there now but it's the best thing we ever did. We would never of been able to afford a done up one in the location and we now have a house we love. FX your offer is accepted.

It sounds promising Flash! And no need to worry about looking like a symptom spotting nutcase, your in good company! I've been particularly bad this month, mainly because I had a feeling this would be my month.

Super charged good luck for the upcoming testers.

I'm 11DPO (12 day LP) and I think I'm out. BFN on IC yesterday morning (too early I know) but now all my earlier symptoms (cramps, sore/heavy boobs, sore nips, tiredness) have disappeared. I had a rubbish nights sleep but feel wide awake! I also had a temp drop this morning to the same temp as this time last 11DPO so it's not looking great.

sk1pper · 30/01/2017 13:39

Flash - do you know how long that promotion is on for? I've never bought an FRER in my life but may consider it for this cycle.

AlexiaB · 30/01/2017 14:09

Ahh nightmare Jam I'd be lost without my phone! Hope you get a replacement very soon. Kmfxd for you as always Smile

Hope your offer gets accepted Harriet - very exciting!

Kathrino well done for booking the test Star

Flash I think that could be implantation bleeding? I hope so!

Skipper hope your pain doesn't last too long Flowers

Smitten those symptoms sound very promising! Fx for you.

Tonks try a FRER!

Can I join the mad symptom spotting party? Grin I've had nausea on and off and have a runny nose today despite being very hot. Nothing else to report at this point, temps are quite boring too. I did want to stop temping after 3dpo but it's addictive!

Sorry to those who had BFNs, fx it's still too early. We need more people on the Grad's thread asap! I had a stalk yesterday and it's soo quiet!

Thanks a lot for the frer tip Flash. I just ordered 3 boxes online along with some supps and hair stuff. Hate paying for delivery but sometimes you've just gotta do it!

Flashinthepan · 30/01/2017 14:13

Skip I'm not sure, I looked on the website but it didn't seem to say.

I'm going kind of mad at 10 dpo. I feel really pregnant but tested with a cheapie and negative. I want to know, but at the same time I don't want to because the longer I wait, if I do get a bfp, the close I'll be to getting the 6 week scan and finding out if its in the right place.

Harriet we also bought a doer upper almost 4 years ago, we finished in autumn last year and it is so amazing as its exactly what we want now, even if it was a hassle/expensive!

Tonks we can get through this. I have yoga toight and acupuncture tomorrow. Hopefully that will relax me.

Flashinthepan · 30/01/2017 14:19

Alexia can you look at my chart and tell me what you think?

Thread 24. TTC #1 - It's been a tough start to the year but 2017 is still the year of the BFP
sk1pper · 30/01/2017 14:25

Thanks for the heads up though Flash - going to do the same as Alexia and buy them online tonight.

Alexia - I would absolutely be ecstatic if you get your sticky BFP, symptoms sound good - ooooooh c'mon ladies!! Who will be first? :)

AlexiaB · 30/01/2017 14:25

Flash you had a very slow start but it's really taken off now! If your temps stay up the next 1-2 days I'd say it's likely you're preggo. It looks really promising!

What does your Analysis or Pregnancy Monitor bit say on the app?

AlexiaB · 30/01/2017 14:27

harriet doing your own place up can be so rewarding we did this 10 years ago. To be fair we still haven't totally finished but then what house is??? It's so nice to make your mark on a place and give it some character!

Thanks miranda flash and alexia

Thought I was out this month due to timing of dtd but so annoying as this month I actually ov on CD14 instead of CD21 or 22 as I have been doing lately waaaa

alexia I am going to keep better track of my charting I have a lot to live up to with some of your guys and your charts!

Kathrino · 30/01/2017 15:14

So sorry about AF Missy, I hope this is your lucky cycle Flowers

It sounds like we have some excellent symptom spotting going on, I'm so hoping they all turn into BFPs for you lovely ladies.

MissyJones80s · 30/01/2017 15:20

kath ditto for everyone's cycles this time. Having AF at end of the month I always feel like I'm either at front or back if the AF waiting line haha

Looks like I'm waiting now until 25/26 Feb who knows!

MissyJones80s · 30/01/2017 15:29

Can you or should you temp even from CD1?

sk1pper · 30/01/2017 15:46

Sorry Missy xx you still remind me of this lady though :)

Thread 24. TTC #1 - It's been a tough start to the year but 2017 is still the year of the BFP
AlexiaB · 30/01/2017 16:05

Missy you don't have to start from CD1 if you don't want to. You can start after AF or even as late as CD10 if you O CD14. You need at least 3 temps before ovulation and 3 high temps after ovulation to get crosshairs. Do you know what your pre and post ovulation temp range is? Knowing this helps sooo much! For example, if I get a temp above 36.25 I know I've ovulated. When you have this knowledge it's much easier and you could actually just temp once you get a +ve OPK if you don't enjoy temping.
I took a break this cycle and the only legit temps on my chart are CD1, CD11, CD13 (the most important one) and beyond. I ended up faking some before ovulation just to get crosshairs. Hopefully this helps x

I have a new phone ! Yay 👍🏼 was out of contract so needed to get it sorted really. No mobile insurance! I need to sort this out next.

Good luuuuuuuck Harriet! Our purchase seems to be going fine thanks, we've been looking into a few points on the survey and waiting for the solicitors search results to come back. The sellers are at the same stage with the property they are buying. So far so good, I feel cautiously optimistic. Fx for your offer being accepted!

Thanks kath love, good luck with your ORT also

Flash it could be IB but it's probably hard to say for sure when you've had spotting before. We are all behind you and willing it to be IB!

Skipper hoping your ovulation is okay and not too painful.

You are not out until you are out tonks
*
Alexa* hurrah for more symptoms 😀 I was quite nauseous on and off yesterday too. At 11 DPO this is maximum progesterone time for me, will have to see if it sticks around... gah I'm so ready for this!

Sorry missy better luck next cycle

MissyJones80s · 30/01/2017 16:44

Haha skip like it!

alexia think I will just start as of tomorrow morning, I have no idea what my normal temp is at all so would like to get a full months pattern perhaps (if I can remember). Also does it matter if sometimes you wear different pjs? Sometimes I wear really snug Ines and other times I'm just au natural lol
