Thread 24. TTC #1 - It's been a tough start to the year but 2017 is still the year of the BFP

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

It's not been the best start of the year for most but we're still trying to keep it PMA

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

My boobs are of the larger variety - DD , I wish they were smaller! Presuming they will likely be larger than life when if we get pregnant

Bluebell lovely positives! I would do it tonight and tomorrow night - but don't feel you have to - sperm live a few days inside us so you don't have to do it daily. I'm just a bit mental with it.

Oooo lovely positives there bluebell! This is what happened to me this cycle -got positive day after dtd. We then dtd that day as well and three days after.

Yes jam, getting the cold shoulder today has definitely reminded me what it's like on the other side! And you're right skipper, it's great he cares. Finally got a text back telling me what his plans are tonight - definite 'tone' to it. Whatever, I've said sorry, will be fine tomorrow!

Who knows if/when my ov will be picked up by FF - my temp rocketed this morning due to last night's shenanigans (always does after a couple of drinks) hopefully an accurate reading tomorrow will help.

Just me, the sofa and the telly tonight - bliss!

Oh and bigger boobs are one thing I'm looking forward to - I'm an A cup! My boobs are basically pointless hahaha

I have to say my mum was amazeballs when I had my MC last year. She helped me decide which option to go for and helped me to and from the hospital. She is also now preparing me fertility boosting food each weekend - even if it does make me fart!

pyjamas I am having a evening on the sofa with TV and hot water bottle - but this is business as usual for me am treating myself to a Deliveroo cos its Friday and I am knackered.

Ooh kwick, I dream of a heated clothes drier. The idea of not constantly having slightly damp clothes is just too tempting!

MrsBluebell, that looks good! I'd definitely DTD tonight. Tomorrow might be too late depending how soon you ovulate.

Hi everyone! Sorry not caught up yet. pyjamas when is your test date? Mine is 8 Feb. Had some unusual CM today (watery, when usually it would be dry after EWCM) so already symptom spotting ha!

Mrsblue - DTD to tonight just to be sure. Assume your advanced opk is a static smiley? Why on earth are you doing both? It's your choice ofc but the advanced opks are expensive and it's probably not worth doing the cheapies too. Save your money xx

Christ was just seduced by OH as he walked in the door, my opk is still at low fertility but what the hell - we haven't DTD for a while with everything that's been going. Afterwards he said "do you want a boy or girl? I want a little girl - they are so cute." Cue tears from me, tears of happiness though.

We've now ordered a Chinese to celebrate the Chinese New Year. And because we're hungry and too lazy to cook.

I am now lovely and replete
I had 3 starters (squid, bone marrow on toast and monkfish with pork belly), kale, brussel tops and a few chips!!! Avoided the temptation which I am now regretting of ordering rhubarb and custard doughnuts...
May have to have some cheese and honey to round everything off!

Flash my bleeding was caused by endometriosis and cervical ectropion/erosion. Probably mainly endo as my ectropion was treated but didn't help things much. I had to come off my endo meds (which stopped all bleeding) to TTC so I've already had a couple of random bleeds (mainly after DTD), hoping I can get upduffed before it gets too bad again Glad to hear your appointment went well, hopefully gynae will sort you out, although getting a BFP sounds like the perfect cure!

So glad your appointments went well Kwick and Sk1p, was thinking of you both on Thursday!

I am feeling a bit sorry myself, been feeling a bit run down the last couple of days, waking up with a stuffy nose and last night had what felt like period cramps (at CD16.. piss off!). Having a nice girls night with my bestie tomorrow so sure that will sort me out!

Sorry for the silence. Things all got a bit much so I needed to hide for a bit.

Brother is doing ok again after some major blips. The whole thing is so stressful and really taking the toll on everyone.

And AF arrived. Am currently CD6 of cycle 7. I knew last cycle wasn't going to happen but that doesn't prevent the disappointment. Annoyingly my boobs are still tingling post AF. Seriously guys, it's Day 6, calm yourself down, you've got a long way to go!

Sorry I haven't really had a proper chance to catch up on the thread. But huge congratulations kwick. So glad the scan went well.

Thanks to all if you that replied. So thankful that you did. I was out tonight so no chance to DTD after all but will do tomorrow asap. Stupidly awake in the middle of the night thinking about everything :(

Sk1pper I had the cheapies but they never seemed to change at all I thought and I'm a bit of a worrier, so I decided to get a clear blue and as I had the cheapies too I have been trying to see them change along with the clear blue. Going forward I won't keep doing them all the time, I wanted to know I was ovulating but I don't intend to do them every month (although I can see how addictive they are like POAS) x

Alexia can I please use your chart expertise? I had another huge temperature drop this morning at CD9 (luteal phase 11-12 days). I have no idea what's going on with my chart, do you think I'm out?

I had a horrible nightmare that OH and I died and went to hell together. What the fuck? I also remember feeling pissed off that we hadn't been buried next to each other.

I keep thinking of confiding in my mum too Sk1pper. We're super close but so far we haven't told anyone we're trying. Me and DH are in our little TTC bubble that no one knows about (even though after 10 years together and 9 months of being married everyone's expecting it). I keep thinking talking to mum will relieve some of the pressure. Let us know how you get on.

Pyjamas a night out enjoying yourself sounds great. Sometimes letting off steam is exactly what we need so good for you!

Mrsbluebell I use both too. I bought a load of the cheapy OPKs from amazon but wasn't too keen on them so bought the CB dual OPKs. I figure I won't need them when I get my BFP so I may as well pee on them too. It also helps when I get crazy thinking I won't ovulate and use 5 a day!

I'm super jealous of your deliveroo kwick. I live on the outskirts of the middle of nowhere and don't even have a Chinese which delivers. But I suppose it helps keep us on track with healthy eating!
