Happy New Year! It's 2017 and it's OUR year

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Harriet sorry about AF but good news your cycle has settled a bit. It's so annoying when it's late as you can't help but get your hopes up. Fx next cycle for you

London no I don't take anything to regulate- I never needed to but then the last 3 (well 4 actually) have been bizarre- 28,38,36,36days. Since Jan/feb when I came off pill they'd been consistently 31/32 days, then I had this weird short one, followed by a long one which I thought maybe was just my body evening out again. But then 2 36 day cycles

Thanks for the girls. Realistically I'm out as had some low flow red blood today. I managed not to cry whilst out and DH has been sweetly just letting me be a bitch. Just spent a while googling causes of long cycles..I had some tests for thyroid a few years back due to some other immune problems but now wondering if that could be the underlying issue? Does anyone know much about hypothyroidism? I have a lot of the symptoms and I have autoimmune problems- could I have developed it? Think I'm going to book a gp appointment when I'm back home next week

My FC is very sensitive to thyroid issues - so whilst for GP my thyroid is fine, FC prescribes 50mcg of thyroxine for me daily - and I have been taking since I started TTC. Definitely worth looking in to asap.

Am feeling completely shattered... am too old to not get a solid 8 hours..

Ulgh, acid reflux and nausea today. Way to early to be of symptoms. A slap of reality needed please.

Tonks, nothing worse than the first cycle conceivers. My best friend is v sympathetic but she conceived her son the first month they started trying and she just doesn't understand what it feels like to be disappointed month after month.

Having spent the afternoon googling stories of people who didn't get BFPs until after 15 DPO, naturally I have really strong AF cramps now. Going to have a nice bath and she'll turn up in the next hour or so I expect. Cycle 14. Ugh.

Kath - a hot bath should do it yeah, tends to work for me. Fx your not out though.

Hep - you're similar dpo to me and I've got stabbing pains in my gut. But I think it may be all the cheese I've eaten recently ....

I'm out as expected. I don't even test anymore. Saves a lot of £££ and in my case pointless.

Due 8/2. Might disappear for awhile. Feeling sad. I guess I got my hopes up stupidly that we could be one of those anecdotal couples who get a miracle Bfp right before starting IVF. Should have known better.

To all those going down the ivf/iui route: Today I finally met my friends IVF baby who is absolutely gorgeous with the cheekiest grin. My friends did not have an easy journey ( it was their last attempt) but it was worth it and yours will be too.

Sorry bluebird. Take hope in the fact you have a plan and what is meant for you will not pass you by-you'll get that baby.
We're right behind you. Should have our first ivf appointment by end of Feb and then hopefully cycle in March.

BTW What is it with hot baths and af? I always find a bath delays things I nearly had a bath today but resisted and ordered a take away instead as FC say best to avoid (due to risk of infection).

Lovely list jam. Had a total meltdown last night. Spotting for the last couple of days and then a bright red bleed last night. Af supposedly not supposed to be until next Thursday. Think maybe some of its stress. I'm so worried about ttc etc. Cried for two hours that my body isn't working properly/too risky to ttc, even though I have no idea if it would make a difference to getting pregnant with spotting. Plus I think the sore boobs and spotting reminded me of what my cycle was like when I got pregnant.

Sorry to anyone who's struggling. It's just so much harder than I ever thought it would be.

binky definitely get your thyroid checked out. I was hyperthyroid about 6 years ago and it appeared out of nowhere so can just develop for no reason. They should do a blood test without much fuss and ask for a print out of the results. Like kwick said, what your GP thinks is ok might still affect ttc.

So cross. Am up north staying at my gran's helping mum for a few days ahead of the family. DH has stayed at home, gone out this evening and got shit faced.

HE is the one who has had the sub fertility result, not me and yet I'm the one blue in the face trying everything I can to possibly to get pregnant. He watches me cry , he sees my frustration and sadness and desperation to get pregnant. He sees my period come every single month for over a year and how it floors me every time. And yet he can just go out and get fucked, knowing that it takes three months for improvements to be made to sperm.

I'm so angry and upset. I just feel like he doesn't care 😔

Still no signs of AF so will test again next week if nothing!

My oh drank so much over Christmas and new year, and then last week as a friend was staying. He had agreed to cut down to one bottle of wine for the weekend, but 2 drunk so far. We'll see if he sticks to his promise not to drink tonight.
