Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

Happy New Year! It's 2017 and it's OUR year Star

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Everyone's talking about being healthy, I'm totally guilty of ordering pizza...blaming it on the AF...

EJ2009 · 05/01/2017 06:59

missy - 80/20 rule. Dont feel guilty. 80% of the time clean eating & exercise then leave some opportinities for the f**k it days Wink

Londonjam · 05/01/2017 07:19

Pyjamas81 · 05/01/2017 07:24

AlexiaB · 05/01/2017 07:25

I want the same for you too skipper. God knows we both deserve some luck around here!

FXSkip Shock glad you changed your Dr! Yeh I'll probably call my dad at the weekend. It gets awkward though.

Flash progesterone definitely causes sore boobs! I get it from O to AF usually.

Missy Don't feel guilty one bit. AF is the best time for pizza!!!

Temp up but BFN on cheapies this am. Going crazy.

So I've worked out what the pain was, it was ovulation pain. But i think another cyst has ruptured which is why it was so fricking painful. When I had my ultrasound at the very end of October my ovaries were cyst clear, is this enough time for another one to have formed? Sad

Flashinthepan · 05/01/2017 08:08

jam that sucks, I'm really sorry. Be kind to yourself today. hugs

Thanks for the heads up re boobs.

Londonjam · 05/01/2017 08:11

It's one day early alexia so 28 day cycle this month, not too worried about that, it's always been between 28-30 days, which is normal.

Feeling fairly terrible. Will bounce back.

Miranda234 · 05/01/2017 08:15

Good luck alexia. Some good signs by the sound of things!

MissyJones83 · 05/01/2017 09:26

So what are the best OPKs to use?

Presh88 · 05/01/2017 10:11

Hi all
Have been lurking a few weeks but decided to join in the fun if that's ok?
Age: 28, nearly 29
TTC #1
Have been off the pill since beginning of October but this is the first cycle 'properly' trying. Cycles off pill so far seem to be around 32-34 days but may still be settling down.
Currently CD 20 so in FW according to Ovia. Have been attempting to use OPKs this cycle but so far absolutely nothing (think I might drink too much water!) but have had lots of EWCM so hopefully something is happening! Never noticed any of it whilst on the pill (or maybe just wasn't looking) does anyone know if the pill would suppress it?

Wishing everyone lots of luck for 2017 Smile

MissyJones83 · 05/01/2017 10:15

Hi presh enjoy your FW! End of month does seem like way too long but I'll be waiting with you as I can't test until 31st boo hiss!
Out of interest what OPK are you using I'm thinking about using one this cycle but not sure which to use...

Pyjamas81 · 05/01/2017 10:23

Hi Missy - I use use the digital Clearblue dual hormone opks which tells me my high fertility days as well as my peak ones. Expensive but worth it as I can use them with FMU and don't have to worry about how much water I've had. I do also use the internet cheap ones as back up, mainly because I'm a poas addict Blush

Presh88 · 05/01/2017 10:24

Thanks missy - just using some cheap ones from eBay which I wouldn't recommend as they took nearly a month to arrive from china! Will be getting more from amazon prime next time I need them, although tempted to stop using and just attempt DTD every other day for as long as possible during cycle.
I wanted to use them just to check I am actually ovulating but from (google) research it seems that you can miss a positive result even using them daily so don't know how much to trust them!

WingingIt83 · 05/01/2017 10:27

CakeWine jam so sorry xxx

MissyJones83 · 05/01/2017 10:36

Thanks presh and Pjs

I was thinking of using the Clearblue Digital OPKs because I only want to do OPKs for a couple of cycles to figure out when I might be ovulating and if it correlates with the pains I always assumed were ov pains. Are the ones you use pjs the ones with the smiley face?

Pyjamas81 · 05/01/2017 10:41

Yep - flashing smiley face for high fertility days then solid smiley for peak. They also do one which just shows you your peak days. Good luck!
