Hi all, we are planning on TTC in the new year. Before that I want to get a bit healthier lose three stone and generally be in the best shape possible to get pregnant and run around after a baby. Is anyone else in the same boat? Would you be up for a little thread to keep us all on track? Planning on doing a dry January as a kick start and then will be dragging my arse to the gym after Christmas as well. Very open to suggestion and ideas to shift the bulge. Would be good to have a few buddies though. Anyone fancy joining in?

Drink lots of water confused! Do you normally get bloating post ovulation? Must be a little too early for AF bloating? I hate the tww. Symptom spotting is the worst!

Mummyme87 · 12/01/2017 07:00

Can definitely feel ovulation coming... very twingy in lower abdomen

JB1983 · 12/01/2017 07:22

confused bloating was my friends first pg symptom. However it's also a symptom of AF. This TTC malarkey is so confusing!!
First week weigh in and I'm down 4lb, chuffed with that! Probably put it all on with an indulgent weekend away with the girls. So let's call week one - damage limitation!

confusedat23 · 12/01/2017 07:33

Thanks Wiggley i'm trying! I'm drinking 3L a day at the moment but i will try and get a bit more in!...

Ooo yay Mummy how exciting!! Are you DTD?

Awhhh JB i hope so! I don't normally bloat this early tbh and i just feel slightly heavy... im trying my best not to symptom spot but this is slightly uncomfortable! I also worked with a lady who bloated as soon as she implanted and even had to undo her work skirt (we wear uniform)

Oysterbabe · 12/01/2017 08:18

Exciting that some of you are in the tww :)
Another 2lbs off for me so that's 6lbs since 3rd January and now I'm 12st 7 and just fat and not obese. I still have 3 weeks of pills before we officially start ttc and I'm sure it'll take a while for cycles to settle. I would like to lose at least another stone before I get knocked up because I need my BMI to be under 30 at the booking appointment to give me a shot at being low risk and I know in those first 8 weeks I just want to stuff my face with carbs.

Redpony1 · 12/01/2017 09:19

Nick that's an amazing loss! Well done! Well done Mummume & Oyster on your losses too, nice one Grin

Confused i am still bloated too. Very annoying but then this could be normal for me, i haven't had a proper cycle since i was about 20/21 due to different birth control methods so i don't remember! (Depo, coil & then pill)

Managed a steady 5 mile run last night, my legs didn't feel like they were attached after Sunday's 10miles and Mondays Circuit training!! Weigh in day tomorrow...

HPeveryday · 12/01/2017 09:32

Thank you for the welcome!
Nick, Mummy, Oyster well done on your weight loss! I haven't weighed myself as my scale is broken. I am hoping to have lost at least a pound.
Oyster I remember you from last year as our babies were due around the same time! Mine was also a bit early but at term at 37+3 and had an emergency section as the little bugger had stopped moving and had the cord around his neck. Now we can't stop him, he's all over the blooming place! Grin
I also want to lose a stone before falling pregnant again and terrified that I will have problems conceiving. I never appreciated how fucking scary this whole journey is before.
Confused my first sign of pregnancy was also bloating. That's what made me test thinking back. I had major bloat from one week before my period was due, did a test and it was positive.

HPeveryday · 12/01/2017 09:34

Red good luck with your weigh in tomorrow. I sense great result for tomorrow Grin

Redpony1 · 12/01/2017 10:10

I'm not sure HP , I feel sooo bloated!

HPeveryday · 12/01/2017 10:18

Cardio also increases bloating as muscles retains the water via tear and repair etc. Sounds counter-productive but drinking lots of water will reduce it!

Redpony1 · 12/01/2017 10:27

The only increased Cardio i have done was Monday morning - surely that can't have caused bloating? I have run 3 or 4 times a week for a year now up to half marathon distance so my body should be well used to it Sad Very disheartening at times. (I should also be a tiny size 8 with all the exercise i do and fruit/veg i eat!)

Day 37 days post pill for me now... Still on a sex ban (apart from NYE!) until after AF appears!

HPeveryday · 12/01/2017 10:34

Don't be disheartened Flowers our bodies does weird things at he best of times! You are doing so well.
I am so tempted to lean towards a BFP for you fx. When is AF due?

confusedat23 · 12/01/2017 11:01

oooo HP You are making me really excited... although I have been doing 30 day shred so I can imagine it is probably due to that as opposed to anythign else. Although I am due my period next Fri/Sat

Also without symptom spotting too much I am uber emotional today! DH just text me saying that we will actually have a family next year and I cried... I also don't suffer from this before AF but it seems rediculous to get my hopes up

Have you tested at all Red?

Oyster Keep going you are doing so well! Also how tall are you?

Redpony1 · 12/01/2017 11:15

No, not tested. Only 12 days since we DTD and no idea if it was in FW or when AF will come! Wouldn't that be insane if I conceived after DTD once, although i am pretty sure i haven't. My luck doesn't go that way at all!

DP is being lovely, i think he thought my AF would have appeared by now though, i did tell him it could take a while but he is concerned for me. He is the one that has instigated all this, he's desperate to be a father....

confused whats a summary of 30day shred? It sounds horrendous!

HPeveryday · 12/01/2017 11:17

This is all soooo exciting! I am sending baby dust your way confused fx you get a BFP! Hope is so good, keeps us going! You are so good to not test, don't think I would have been able to hold on till next week me Grin
My AF is also due next fri/sat/sun, it's been getting shorter by 4/5 days every month since having my son so never sure on the exact days. We have only DTD once this month so am not holding out much hope!

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 12/01/2017 11:40

Ooh confused - fingers crossed for you!

My arm is still quite sore from yesterday. Have to keep the dressing on for another day or so the doc said.

No signs of withdrawal bleed yet. Hoping that arrives soon. Although I'm not sure if that would really count as a period. I think we are going to start trying in March! We are skiing next month so no point in being preg then!

March will give us enough time to get cycles back on track and for me to lose a bit more weight. Really want to drop 2 stone first.

Love how quickly this thread moves, always so much to catch up on!

Well done JB and Oyster on weight loss, how fantastic! Crossing the BMI barrier from obese must feel amazing. Good luck for the weigh in Red, am sure you will smash it.

Confused I've been feeling really bloated too but think mine is due to the massive dose of folic acid I'm taking and so many bloody leafy vegetables Grin Saying that though I've also been feeling shivery and sleeping badly so maybe have a virus. Had some creamy CM this morning but that could well be normal for this stage in my cycle.

MrsC2017 · 12/01/2017 12:02

Girls u are all flying it with the healthy eating and exercise! Well done!
red and confused you guys have great willpower I would have tested for sure by now, I'm even over eager to ov test! I'm so excited when I hear there could be a sniff of a BFP! Theres that's lovely, enjoy the skiing and then u never know u might have a bundle for Christmas!

MrsC2017 · 12/01/2017 12:17

Jupiter mean to say that I was bloated all week since I dusted off the nutribullet and went back on the green smoothies, it def takes the system a while to adjust!

confusedat23 · 12/01/2017 12:30

Red its a 3 stage exercise plan that you do everyday for 30 days... its fairly intense but i am only on level 1! It is meant to give amazing results though. Also you should be able to test if you use FRER with FMU tomorrow be able to test as its been 12 days!

If we did HP it was be an end of Sep baby which would be perfect! I can't test yet as i'm only 6dpo and it would be negative anyways! I'm going to try not to test until next Friday at the earliest!

I think it can take a few weeks for the hormone to go from the implant Theres but fx'd that AF comes soon so you can start tracking your cycles

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 12/01/2017 12:48

Yeah I think there's mixed reports online. Some women have a withdrawal bleed within 24 hours. Others it takes a week or more. I imagine once AF gets in it will be heavy - not had one for over three years so will be a shock to the system!

Oh yes, my bowels don't know what's hit them! :)

confusedat23 · 12/01/2017 12:54

Hmmm i wonder if mine is just that too Jupiter and *Mrs+

HeyJupiter · 12/01/2017 13:00

You're much further past ovulation than me confused so more likely there is something pregnancy related going on for you than me if you see what I mean. We can keep hoping!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 12/01/2017 13:10

Exhausted in morning and eve and cannot tolerate even half a glass of wine so tested this morning in case the Boxing Day shagging had caught something however BFN.

If I have conceived due to unprotected DTD on the 7 and 10 January then it will be too early to tell. All other times we used withdrawal method.

Trying to assume it's just side effects from coming off the pill but have ordered cheap test sticks as I want to test before doc appt on the 17th and again on 24th which would be two weeks since the 10th. If I am I need to know asap as apparently I'll have to give up hot yoga
