Excellent, always handy when ovulation falls on the weekend I find, more opportunity for DTD and generally better moods all round! You can be my 2ww buddy, let's see if we can keep each other sane! I'm so desperate for a bfp this month, was very silly and already looked up what due date could be, 2 days after DS turns 5 (would save on the Birthday parties!!) Would also mean all of DS's old baby stuff & clothes would be seasonally appropriate (warm newborn stuff, same size Christmas clothes etc). Mustn't get carried away! Just want it soooooo bad! x

Kiki18 · 08/01/2017 16:00

That would be great as definitely suffer with 2ww madness and get a bit carried away!
It's hard not to get excited and look I to these things - out of interest what was the due date?!!
Good that you've got old baby stuff and clothes you can use - this would be our first but we have family and close friends already putting their old bits aside for when it happens, I've put some donated stuff in the loft to ease temptation of pawing through!
How are you feeling? I have had twinges and sore boobs today so am quietly hoping!

Tee4me · 08/01/2017 17:18

30th September! Means being the oldest at school, but keeping them at home for the longest possible time before they start, which is great in my opinion (if DS was born a few weeks earlier he would have started Sep 2016, so the timing means he's with me for the extra year!)
Feeling ok! Think I probably ovulated, temp will confirm in the morning. FX! Are you relaxing tonight or be having one last horrah for luck?! Wink

Kiki18 · 08/01/2017 18:04

End of Sept sounds good then!!
FX for you keep us posted!! Not sure if we will or not - I've had some ewcm and got feeling that I've ovulated today as been crampy too, have planted the seed with dh and might just see what happens - if it's meant to be this month it will happen!

Tee4me · 08/01/2017 18:30

Good plan. We've done our bit, the rest is up to the Gods!! Halo x

Tee4me · 09/01/2017 08:13

Morning all!
How is everyone? Anyone approaching AF/test territory?
CD16 here. Still looking like I probably ovulated yesterday, bit of a temp rise this morning but nothing drastic. Above coverline though so fingers crossed. Here's my chart, hearts for DTD, red line is temp, yellow line is fertility score, green shading is FW...

Footy1 · 09/01/2017 12:46

Chart looks good tee, looks like you are well covered. Hope 2ww goes fast for you and Kiki! If I conceived this cycle then I'd also save on family birthday parties! Although think I can call myself out already for this cycle due to stress! Think Nim is in 2ww also.

Durez- your monitor might be picking up the surge but not necessarily the peak. When I used the digi ovulation kit I got 5 smiley flashing faces before I got a firm peak. I asked my gynae at the time and he said some people's LH are stronger than others so as soon the stick picks up the LH it will start flashing. It doesn't mean you will always ovulate a day or so after. It can take time. Don't give up hope, if u can dtd every other day around the fw time you should be covered.

We had a lady on this thread that got her BFP after only dtd 5 days before ovulation so there is hope.

Earth how are u? Was it AF that started did u find out?

Beagles hope all is well with u. Did u ovulate?

Waves to everyone else. Xx

Not much to report here other than today is a better day than yesterday. I've decided on getting away for a bit in Feb half term - not sure where yet but I need something to look forward to.

MotherOfBeagles · 09/01/2017 17:42

Hi all! Sorry it was my dhs 30th this weekend so had guests and loads on since Thursday!

Sorry AF got you kate and the you've been struggling nim I totally understand the fear of losing a baby too. I was terrified from about 10 minutes after getting my bfp. But just have to convince myself to try and keep my head up!

footy sounds like you are looking after yourself. Make sure you stick to your guns and tell him how you're feeling there's no point bottling it up - although it's easier said than done.

My cycle is a total mess. Now reckon I might be 3dpo. My chart looks like a bad rollercoaster! Given up hope this month just hope AF turns up soon so I can start properly next month.

Hi girls hope you're all well 💐

Footy glad things are improving with H, and that's he's open to counselling . A BFP could be the thing to really bring you together

Tee your dates look spot on, let's hope it's another BFP and a sticky one this time

Fx Kiki that's lovely your family have put stuff away for you

Hope you and your DH enjoyed the celebrations beagles

I'm waving AF off now and heading back towards fertile week. DH and I planned to do it every other day throughout this cycle so we will see how that goes. Am up at my Grandmas house this week helping mum prepare for the funeral. Not really the mood for DTD! But I'm glad I'm here to support her. All this family talk is making me more desperate for BFP.

newyorklover81 · 09/01/2017 23:07

Can I please join? Smile

Ttc 5 (yes really 😳) all with a previous partner
Cycle 15
CD 12,

Started agnus castus on cd1 and I usually get a positive opk on day 17/18 but tonight's test was v v v nearly positive?! Agnus castus may have helped already!

DuRezidal · 09/01/2017 23:34

Footy next month I think I will do the CBFM and also ovulation strips too just so I can see what is happening. To be fair, I haven't given it a chance this month as missed two days of testing due to work etc so will give it the benefit of the doubt and start again next month.

Currently CD12 so expecting AF around 20th Jan as tend to have around 23 day cycles (always have done).

Cd6 - low
CD7 - high
Cd8 - high
Cd8 - x
Cd9 - x
Cd10 - x DTD
CD11 - x
CD12 - x DTD

MotherOfBeagles · 10/01/2017 09:49

Sorry about your grandma tee I hope the funeral is as stress free as possible and get a lovely send off.

Hi newyork 5?! Crazy woman lol. My aunt has 5 and her house is like a mad house but she has 16 years between oldest and youngest. Not heard of Angus castus might have to have a nosey.

You can get cheapie ones in bulk from Amazon and eBay durez they're what I use and seem to be fine. It is a bit irritating sometimes isn't it when life gets in the way lol.

I had a massive temp spike this morning. 0.6 above my cover line at 4dpo but I'm also now back at work and in a routine of taking my temps at same time again so it could just be that. I'm also absolutely knackered! Need a holiday again already.

Kiki18 · 10/01/2017 14:30

Welcome new York! I've read about agnus castus but was worried about the side effects have you had any? Wow number 5 - we are stuck trying for number 1!!

Durez - FX for you!

Jam - hope all goes smoothly for you. It is nice of them but does add to the pressure a little now we have had a miscarriage and they know we are trying again everyone is waiting news!

Footy - thank you its only 2dpo this cycle but very distracted with work so not thinking about it too much, we will see if that continues!! You should have a break you deserve some time out - maybe somewhere hot and sunny? x

Tee - wish I could help with your chart - sorry as I don't temp it's foreign to me. We never DTD that day in the end but I'm not worried as we had plenty before and think I am learning my cycles by symptoms and obviously the medication helps with consistency of routine! 2 days down 12 to go! x

Footy1 · 10/01/2017 22:52

Hope funeral goes ok for you jam, sorry to hear this xx

Kiki think with the Angus castus you need to be careful of taking too much if you are talking clomid. I remember I asked my gynae and he said it effects your hormones so can counteract the clomid. Think only in high doses. I started taking it before clomid and seemed to regulate cycle for a bit. I haven't googled it but might b worth checking.

Durez yes the cheapy opks are good. Less expensive.

NewYork wow number 5! You must love children eh?! Do u drive a bus? Lol
That's great you have energy for 5!! Go girl x

Beagles I need a holiday with heat. Been so cold today. Temps can be all over place if you are busy. Not long to wait now.

Tee4me · 11/01/2017 08:20

Hey ladies,
Hope everybody's OK this morning.
Jam sorry you are going through this, can understand it's not very conjunctive with DTD. Don't put pressure on yourself to cope with both this month, let yourself grieve.
Footy that's exciting, you definitely deserve a nice sunny hol, refuel on vitamin D!
Beagles that is a rather confusing chart, but the festive period and lack of routine definitely effects your readings. Did you sustain the spike this morning?
DuRez the cheap opks are great, I've been through hundreds of them. I generally get a peak 2 days before my temp spike.
Welcome NewYork! Have you had a full on positive/peak yet?? Glad you've found something that helps.
Kiki hope you're good my cycle buddy!! I'm doing my best to stay relaxed over the next couple of weeks. Manicure & massage booked for later Grin Take good care of yourself now, lots of fruit, veg & good stuff!

3dpo here. Temp has stayed above coverline since OD, so might just do one more tomorrow then drop temping until next cycle. One less thing to buzz about my brain in the 2ww. Need to stayed chilled.

MotherOfBeagles · 11/01/2017 09:25

kiki you're doing really well using symptoms to track, I don't think even my own body knows what's going on! Good that work is keeping you distracted but take chance to relax too =]

footy I know we usually like to go somewhere to explore but thinking might just do a lazy pool holiday. Enjoy some heat! How are things at home for you?

tee fingers crossed for you this month! What day do you normally test on? Very jealous of your pamper plans. Enjoy! Grin

5 dpo 6 days until my test date as my LP is usually only 8-10 days. Temp still above coverline today but not as high. Only 0.3 above it instead of 0.6 above it. But shall see. Boobs have kicked in like clockwork, swollen sore and evil. Ugh =[

Footy1 · 11/01/2017 12:56

Beagles things not bad but not great. Booked in counselling for mon also I got him to agree to a marriage course at my church. He's happy to go. I'm glad I've booked it but feeling anxious at the same time that it will trigger more problems. I just want to be happy again SadWe have dtd a few times but I think it's just for a connection as we are not connecting elsewhere!
I checked my temp this morning and it's still quite low so I don't think I've ovulated this cycle. Not surprised from all the stress and not sleeping/eating properly. No point on starting the clomid until things back on track.

Hope you stay chilled tee, it's been quite nice not peeing on sticks or looking at calendar although I'm now left feeling a bit lost. I think as you know now u ovulated It would be fine to drop the temping.

Londonjam · 11/01/2017 13:25

Welcome newyork you'll know your pg symptoms well after your experiences!

Kiki I know what you mean by pressure. My mum has been going through my Grandmas things including a lot of wool and she said Maybe I'll keep some of this in case I ever get any grandchildren!! To me and my sister. She knows I've been trying for over a year! How does she think I feel? It was so easy for her and my dad

Hope you're managing a chilled TWW tee and beagles

That's great you've got counselling booked in footy

DuRezidal · 11/01/2017 20:45

Lovely to read everyone's updates.

This month has just not been at all useful. So will keep popping back on here but counting this month out.

I forgot to use the CBFM after the first few days due to work. So no idea whether I have ovulated, whether I am even at the point etc!

MotherOfBeagles · 11/01/2017 21:09

Have you got any cheapie opks you can do durez? Might help to know can at least say yes or no to that.

jam ah that wasn't very thoughtful of your mum. Is she normally like that or is it likely it's just grief talking? I'm really sorry about your nan Flowers

footy I suspect it'll feel some time again before things start to feel good which is really shitty. Make sure that you say what you want to say at counselling, it's not good if you don't use it to be honest. Being scared about making things worse and keeping schtum will make it pointless. But I understand how you feel as a pathological people pleaser I try and avoid confrontation as much as possible and when it's someone so important to you it's horrible.

Hiya

Am New York just changed username :)

Yes I'm mad, this is 1st with my dp. I actually drive a really small car Confused my eldest is 16 and she gets her self around in public transport and the other three fit in my car Smile
And dp has a car if we do a big family outing and we just take two cars.

It's crazy even though I've had 4 babies I still symptom spot and convince myself I'm preg and then af arrives Sad

flossyfloss · 11/01/2017 21:50

Kiki

I've not really had any symptoms except period cramps on and off.

I have letrozole/femara to start next month so I think I'll stop agnus castus then

Kiki18 · 11/01/2017 22:36

Lovely reading everyone's updates!

Footy - maybe I'm best giving agnus castus a miss then am on enough pills to make me rattle as it is so! Good luck for the counselling and marriage course I hope it has some positive results x

Tee - hey cycle buddy! Sounds fab what a good idea for keeping relaxed! We are detox dieting and doing dry January so diet has never been so good plenty of fresh fruit and veg 😇 so preoccupied we have put an offer in on a house so not obsessing!

Jam - I don't think they think before they make the comments, I think until you've been in the difficult position of it taking time you don't understand how hard it is and don't stop to think that not everyone falls quickly!

Beagles - promise to find some relaxation time too! I think I'm quite lucky in that the scans and meds have given me consistency and narrowed it down to 3 days so I've been paying attention to the symptoms looking for similarities, I guess it's my version of temping! FX for your test date x

Flossy - I guess each pregnancy is different so it must be difficult to spot symptoms. I've not heard of letrozole/femara before what do they do? Sorry for all the questions!

flossyfloss · 11/01/2017 23:10

Kiki - it's similar to clomid but the side effects are meant to be less severe. Doctor said it will give me a boost even tho I am already ovulating but we have been trying for 16 months now Sad

I'm taking lots of tablets too! I'm taking zinc, B1, vitamin E, b12, pregnacare, b6, and agnus castus Confused had to get a little pill box and fill each day with all the separate pills so I can keep up with what I've taken!

What are you taking Kiki?

Kiki18 · 11/01/2017 23:16

Flossy - oh OK that's good the side effects with clomid are not fun! I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, we have been TTC for 2 years now but had a missed miscarriage in Oct last year.

I take metformin to sensitise my ovaries and then clomid - used to have to take provera but that's stopped now the clomid is taking full effect. Then just the usual supplements! Phew that's a lot of tablets bless you!
