Beagles no, going to order some for next month to work alongside the CBFM. Things are settling down with work after the madness of the start of January so hopefully next month I will be a little more organised.

AF due around 20th so not too long to wait.

Londonjam · 12/01/2017 19:49

Gosh there's an impressive amount of vitamins and supplements going on! I feel like I need to get involved. Currently only take Boots conception tablets.

Cd8 today and started DTD. Wanted to aim for every other day this cycle but we've been at my grandmas all week and now DH has gone to work until Monday. I've told him he cannot go away next week! I like fertile week - I feel like it's the only week of the month I can actually do anything to achieve my goal of getting pregnant.

Tee4me · 12/01/2017 20:06

I agree with you there Jam, it's feels like the only thing you can really control (assuming DH is compliant!). In the 2ww you just have to hope your body is doing its bit!!

MotherOfBeagles · 12/01/2017 20:12

flossy I admire your determination and your coping skills lol!

kiki ooh exciting what's the new house like?

durez get them ordered soon because they usually come from China and can take a while. I hope you don't need them though.

jam I only take seven seas ttc tablets and started epo this cycle but not after ovulation obviously. Hope you and dh are enjoying the pre-ovulation - ahem - activities.

The boobs are trying to convince me of horrible things. They are so over inflated I could give Pamela Anderson a run for her money right now. So painful and so big. Dh just made a cheeky pass at me and after I'd finished crying at the pain he was very "impressed" by the size

OP posts:
flossyfloss · 12/01/2017 21:27

Thanks motherofbeagles :) it's starting to get me down why it's taking so long so I am determined to give everything a go this year!

Londonjam I know what you mean about ovulation week - it's the only part you can go for it and know it might have some influence!

Kiki have you had many side effects from the clomid?

Londonjam · 12/01/2017 22:07

Beagles is that a new symptom for you? Fx!!

Yes fertile week you can really put the work in. Hopefully DH will actually be here so we can give it a good go... I'm thinking every other day is enough. Have been wondering recently if we've done it too much? Maybe I should be giving swimmers more chance to replenish?

DuRezidal · 12/01/2017 22:28

I think the 2ww is the most frustrating part of the cycle... it's such a waiting game 😢

At least the other parts of your cycle sort of have a purpose.

MotherOfBeagles · 12/01/2017 22:29

floss I get how you're feeling and you just want something to grab hold of and do rather than just hoping!

jam all the fertility doctor stuff you read says every other day is right. The whole resting the sperm thing is supposed to be rubbish because it creates lower quality sperm or something? I learnt that watching the great sperm race lol.

Well my boobs always hurt after ovulation in varying degrees from uncomfortable to oh you evil bitches someone give me a knife. And I can feel they are swollen but this is first time since I was pregnant with the one I lost that dh has noticed them actually larger. But not getting hopes up. The boobs lie!

Cd1 Star for me. Bit of a surprise! Not sure what to expect this cycle after all the stress.
Well at least I know where I am..

Snowing here! Great fun getting to school with snowball fights with the boys!

You are all doing well ladies, keep at it. X

MotherOfBeagles · 13/01/2017 11:57

Sorry AF got you footy but try and think of it as a new month, new step forward? Might be a bit of cliche but every little bit helps.

I'm 7dpo today and my temp dropped back to my coverline Sad does this every month a few days before AF.

OP posts:
Footy1 · 13/01/2017 13:55

Did it drop the cycle that you got your BFP? Read that most people's temp drops around this time.

MotherOfBeagles · 13/01/2017 14:45

Nah not really I know some people do get implantation dips but I seem to do this every month, get my hopes up and then nope.

OP posts:
Tee4me · 13/01/2017 16:05

Hope the temps are misleading you Beagles! I'm very jealous of your pammy's! I'm looking forward to inflated ones if/when I get preggers!
Sorry to hear you're at square one again Footy, but I suspect your expectations were low anyway. Will you be picking up temping and opks again?
Jam really hope this is your month for catching the egg! I think every other day is a decent strategy. I do recall my acupuncturist dismissing the theory that you can DTD too much, depleting supplies. He also said most fertility experts will recommend every other day as it's more realistic than daily (basically, better to nail every other day, then try daily and burn out meaning you miss 2 or more nights in a row). But he felt daily during FW was best if you can commit to persevering daily. I think I would go with every other day, but try and catch the day of the peak LH surge and ovulation day, as I think they really are your most fertile times.
Floss I'm definitely getting impatient with all this too. Just want it to happen ASAP, my life is completely on hold x

Kiki18 · 13/01/2017 18:01

Beagles - it's a 3 bed house in an OK area with a back garden, we currently rent so it'll be a step in the right direction! They aren't making a decision on offers until.tomorrow 😑
Fingers crossed this is your month - surely your dh noticing larger boobs is a good sign!

Tee - how you getting on with tww my lovely?

Flossy - not too bad for clomid symptoms although I do suffer really bad night sweats and some cramping between two and af week

Jam - I think every other day is good I guess all advice varies a little but we were told every 2-3 days at least. Good luck hope this month is your month x

Footy - sorry the witch came even if you expected her to, least like you say you know where you are! Glad to hear you had a good day in the snow with your boys x

Durez - my test date is 2 days after you, not long to go now!!

Londonjam · 13/01/2017 18:13

The boobs are untrustworthy but here's hoping it's a good sign for you beagles I hope the temp drop isn't what you think

Good to know where you stand now footy are you going to try this month?

Thanks for the DTD advice. I think we will aim for every other day and carry on into TWW

Thanks tee I hope so too - and for you. To be honest I feel like it's all a bit impossible now and I'm just going through the motions until we finally get ivf on the NHS. No harm in continuing to try in the meantime

Good luck with your purchase kiki we've just bought our first home , going through all the contract and legal stuff at the moment, was hoping it would be a distraction but it's dragging on and there's not an awful lot to do! Perhaps if when we complete and move in it will take my mind off TTC or TFC me - Trying and Failing to Conceive ☹️🙄

MiriAmmerman · 14/01/2017 09:34

Hi all

We had this month's IUI yesterday, so now have a 2 week wait to find out whether it worked... They give progesterone pessaries after the treatment, which delays AF, so we won't know until the blood test on 27th.

Good luck to all of you too - maybe Jan 2017 is our month! Good luck with the house too kiki - we would like to buy, but can't start looking until we get a BFP if we ever get one because we don't know how much of our money fertility treatment will eat probably all of it

physicskate · 14/01/2017 19:43

Hi All.

Still lurking... went to GP last week after what has really been quite a hellish few months. Turns out he was a parent of one of my pupils... Anyway, he said I should start antidepressants and/ or get signed off for a bit. I took neither option. Instead I went to my headteacher and said Im out of here in two weeks (instead of 5). She took it well. So the plan is then to go visit my parents for a week to try to get out of my routine of just sitting at home... Still a bit shell-shocked I've finally stood up for myself!

So I'll be even more scarce. But I'll be back!!! Hope none of you are still here when I do (in the best possible way!)!!!

Londonjam · 14/01/2017 21:35

Oh kate you've had such a hard time. I'm glad you are finally starting to see the light. Teaching can be such a tough and draining career and you've given far too much recently. Enjoy every minute of your break.

MotherOfBeagles · 14/01/2017 22:29

kate I'm glad you've got a plan in place and are starting to move on. I hope you are feeling much better soon Flowers

Fingers crossed miri that you get your bfp this month!

kiki ah that sounds lovely. I hope your offer has been accepted. Our house was on for a year and we had hell so i really feel for you it's a shitty process.

You managing with dtd jam? We never quite manage every other day with work and dogs lol. God knows how well manage if we ever get to trying for a second! Massive respect for those of you juggling jobs, kids and dtd lol.

My temp went back up today to 0.3 above my coverline. Boobs are still enlarged but not as sore today so not sure what that means. I'm 8dpo so shall see. Not holding out hopes as I've checked and we only dtd once 2 days before ovulation and then two days after because I was unwell.

Tee4me · 15/01/2017 08:44

Morning!
Kiki was your offer accepted?! Hope it's been a good distraction from the 2ww. We're half way through at least! How are you feeling?
Kate, goodness you've had a bad time of it! Sounds like you are at a turning point. Things can only get better. Are you looking forward to starting the new job?
Jam hope every other day target is going well, is DH back? When do you expect ovulation? Hoping it's not long before you can say you TSTC!
Footy how's things at home, any improvement?
How was your temp this morning Beagles? 2 days before ovulation is peak according to Ovia. I only ever get a 10/10 fertility rating at that point in cycle, so don't rule yourself out! And also, if you DTD in the evening, and ovulated in the morning, the difference could be as little as 36 hours, which I would certainly consider optimum timing!
Miri, good luck to you! That's interesting about the progesterone, hope it helps! I wonder if there are any natural ways to increase progesterone in 2ww, have they given any advice on that? I might research, think I may need a boost in 2ww.

7dpo here. Looked back at my bfp cycle, and had a headache & bloody nose at this point. Definitely woken up with the head! Makes a change being on tissue watch from the other end!!

DuRezidal · 15/01/2017 13:27

Started spotting today at cd18 so definitely out this month... af should be here in a few days and onto the next one. I will try to be more on top of my testing this month, looking at getting some ovulation tests to run alongside the CBFM.

Kiki18 · 15/01/2017 14:17

Thanks Jam - we've not heard yet so tomorrow I guess. Good luck with the completion and I'm sure a new house and all that decorating and making it home will be a distraction.

Miri - bless you my brother had IVF for his son and now trying again, I know you can't put a price on a child but appreciate it does make things difficult financially, hopefully you will fall soon and be able to do both! We are using it as a bit of a distraction from ttc.

Kate - sorry you've been having such a hard time, things will get easier now you have e made that first step. Hope you feel better soon x

Thanks beagles - I just wish they would say yes/no either way! If I could pay someone to do all the searching and buying for me so I could just move in I would! Don't give up yet, there are plenty of couples that only DTD once and fall.. you're not out yet x

Hey tee - it has been a good distraction no word yet but how are we halfway through tww already?! How has it been for you? Any symptoms?
I'm really crampy today, more so than usual and have sore boobs but don't want to get my hopes up as it could just be run up to AF. This next week will be the tough one to resist the urge for early testing!

Tee4me · 15/01/2017 16:37

Kiki I've been so crampy since last night, for me it's a negative tho, as it feels like the first signs of AF. Been soooooo irritable too! I'm desperate to have a bloody nose as that's a good sign for me. Also hot skin is something I've noticed with previous pregnancies, so desperately hoping to notice that! Don't really know what to expect from my LP, I ovulated a few days later than usual, so I'm going to assume AF will be later too. Counting 15 days from OD, will start AF Monday 23rd, rather than Saturday 21st. Wouldn't test til at least 25th if it didn't show, but not feeling hopeful right now x

Tee4me · 15/01/2017 16:38

Sorry DuRez, onwards to the next! Flowers
