LisaSimpsonsbff · 05/12/2016 17:02

Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

Age 29
Cycle #4
Cycle day 1

For the sake of a day pj I'd wait until DH was with me personally. I couldn't do it alone and I think he would be upset if mum knew first. It's such an intimate and private thing.

walsh86 · 10/12/2016 16:44

oh sorry i thought u said a week not 1 day

Pyjamas81 · 11/12/2016 07:27

Yes it is only a day Walsh - I'm thinking too far ahead again ha ha. Hope you feel better soon - I've got the crappy cold everyone seems to have Sad

You're totally right Mouse - I will wait for DH to be there!

Kirstyinnorway · 12/12/2016 05:51

Ladies.

I think I think I think have a squinty BFP today! Shock Shock Shock

I had one yesterday too, but it was suuuuuuper faint, and DH and I were staring for ages. It's definitely darker today. I'm only about 10DPO so I'm testing stupidly early, but I'm about 90% sure it's there!

I think within 24 hours we'll know for sure....

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!

Kirstyinnorway · 12/12/2016 06:28

So I've been trying to get a decent photo in artificial light (not easy!) but this is as good as it gets.

Am I going mad?

Pyjamas81 · 12/12/2016 06:31

I see a line I see a line Kirsty!!! That's a BFP! Congratulations!!!!

Oggy88 · 12/12/2016 06:32

Kirsty!!!!! That's a line!!! Not a squinter, a full blown line! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you Smile

Kirstyinnorway · 12/12/2016 06:40

Oh my goodness ladies I'm sitting here welling up - neither DH and I want to get excited so to hear that was pretty cool. Ahem. I'm cool, I'm cool.

Oh god, what do I do now?! Haha!

Oggy88 · 12/12/2016 06:47

Well, for starters, don't have sushi and wine for breakfast Grin

Kirstyinnorway · 12/12/2016 06:52

Hahahah oggy I'll try not to Grin My parents arrive here on the 16th, by choice I wouldn't tell them so early but it will be hard to hide being teetotal over my birthday (the 21st) and Christmas.

I can't wait for tomorrow's FMU to hopefully see a darker line!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 12/12/2016 06:55

Congratulations, kirsty! What fantastic news!

Ps. You also have lovely nails!

OP posts:
Kirstyinnorway · 12/12/2016 06:59

Thanks for both lisa Grin

Got my nails done while back in the UK last week, what a treat. Tons of wee Thai places in my old city that will do a UV mani/pedi for £30 which lasts two weeks. It's one of only a few things I miss about Scotland (along with irn bru and the accent)!

bluebell17 · 12/12/2016 08:00

Congratulations Kirsty!
That's great news!

Kirstyinnorway · 12/12/2016 08:08

Thank you bluebell!

Oggy88 · 12/12/2016 08:22

Oh, you don't necessarily have to wait until FMU, Kirsty. Mine was much darker the same afternoon. I tested again at work, then kept the test in my pocket and peeked every now and then (yeah, I know). It was nice and dark.

Oggy88 · 12/12/2016 08:23

In fact, every time I did pee and not test felt like such a waste of liquid! Grin

MouseLove · 12/12/2016 08:26

Omg congratulations Kirsty!!!!! I can never see a line and I can defo see yours. That's not even a squinter!!!!!

Yay for a preggo Christmas!! X

Kirstyinnorway · 12/12/2016 08:33

Hahah oggy I keep going back to look at it this morning! DH had to ask me to leave it outside the kitchen while he was making breakfast Blush

mouse I did think of you when I posted, with you saying you never see the squinters! Thank you - and a preggo birthday too! Double win Grin

JeNeBaguetteRien · 12/12/2016 08:35

Congratulations Kirsty! That is a line!

HellsBellsK · 12/12/2016 08:39

Woohoo Congratulations Kirsty such a great start to a Monday!! x

LisaSimpsonsbff · 12/12/2016 08:50

I can also never see the squinters, Kirsty (there are about four different threads on the first page of conception at the moment where everyone else can see a line but I would classify them as 100% negative) - but I can see that because it's not a squinter, it's an actual line!

OP posts:
Seahawk80 · 12/12/2016 08:51

Congratulations Kirsty so happy for you!! Looks like heaving while cleaning out the rabbits was a sign!!

Seahawk80 · 12/12/2016 08:51

And I can also never see the squinters but can def see yours Grin

bassetmum · 12/12/2016 09:01

Yay fantastic kirsty that is definitely not a squinter.

I had a random daydream today of buying a daddy Christmas card as a way of telling oh. Mad I know especially as I would say I think i am 3/4 dpo (cd 19). Ovia reckons af is due 22nd.

Kirstyinnorway · 12/12/2016 09:23

Thank you everyone. And yes - seahawk it must. I knew I felt different this month... Nothing I could put my finger on (apart from the heaving!) but kinda different down there. DH was so worried, he said I was setting myself up for a fall.

On the day I ovulated, after we DTD I did a naked handstand against the wardrobe for 10 minutes then nearly blacked out when I stood up... Reckon that was what did it?! Grin Grin Grin

Obviously my eyesight is terrible as I really do think it's a squinter Confused

Ok, so enough about me - how's it all going with you guys? Bassett love that idea, I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Will you wait to test on the 22nd?
