Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

Age 29
Cycle #4
Cycle day 1

Hi pjs. Monday morning has gone past rather quickly. Don't feel like Ive accomplished much at work though. Haha its nuts what we get excited about.

Ovia has my fertile week starting tomorrow so ill start the opks today hopefully I can get more than two dtds in this month.

Eva im on cd7 today so not far behind you. My af has gone totally weird post pill. Horrendous cramps (hence the drs appointment) but the flow is light and lasts about 36hours.

Kaydee2017 · 23/01/2017 13:30

Looks like a few of us are just starting FW, everything crossed this is a lucky month GrinGrin

Pyjamas81 · 23/01/2017 13:43

Kaydee that's some excellent non-FW DTD-ing! Me and DH are so so bad at dtd before FW - neither of us can be bothered after the FW marathon!

Ha ha - I did have a "have and word with yourself pyjamas" moment when I got excited about ewcm. Thank goodness you lovely lot are here - you're my filter before I say these things out loud 😂

Kaydee2017 · 23/01/2017 13:53

TBH this is completely new for me, when I was on the pill I was take it or leave it, but my drive has gone through the roof since I stopped, DH is Grin but think it may be the novelty, he'll probably go into hiding once that wears off!!

Pyjamas81 · 23/01/2017 14:04

I'd say my drive is marginally better in FW, but that's starting from quite a low base! DH has a low drive as well, so on the one hand we're well suited, but on the other, it makes ttc more difficult. Make the most of it kaydee!

bassetmum · 23/01/2017 14:35

My drive went from non existent to fw only. Oh is higher though. Although he's worried about dtd this month because of the abdo pain I'm going to the drs with. I'll just have to jump him haha.

florafoxtrot · 23/01/2017 14:44

Lots to catch up on! Hope everyone is well and welcome to newbies! Glad the HSG was OK PJs and that your tubes are clear - that's great news! And Happy 30th Supper - hope you had a great night and got your bacon sandwich!
I'm royally pissed off today... CD19 and had a flashing smiley for over a week now on CB OPKs and we've been DTD every other day but we are knackered and I've exhausted all my best moves! Also had some blood in my EWCM last week - hell knows what that was about. No temp increase either so I've definitely not yet ovulated - and this is after eating so well, doing exercise and having reflexology all in the hope of improving our chances! I'm raging - want to eat macaroni and chips and drink gallons of coffee!!
Do you think it might be an anovulatory cycle or do the flashing OPKs suggest that is it just taking its sweet time?

Supper16 · 23/01/2017 18:35

Thanks for birthday wishes folks. Cd27 here and tempted to test....no idea when af due really....

Partridge27 · 23/01/2017 19:01

Hi all,

Af here so that makes it a 20 day cycle. Used the digital opk this month that went from low to static smiley without flashing on on cd9. Has anyone else had this? Think I'll start testing as soon as af has finished this month

EMHW123 · 23/01/2017 19:33

Hi everyone, hoping to join you all.... I've been creeping but it's all got a bit much and I've decided to join you all!

I'm 33 ttc#1 cycle 4

I got every symptom under the sun last cycle and was utterly convinced I was pg, smiling at your dtd chat, pjs we are similar to you guys!

Going to give the Cb opk a go this month, I'm getting to the stage already where this is become more of a chore than the lovely trying for a baby experience I had expected....does anyone else feel the same?! Like your so over this over thinking all the blooming time while my OH seems so chilled! Gah! 🙈

blanketfort · 23/01/2017 20:05

Hi all, newbie here too! (Also been creeping for way too long)

I'm 29, ttc#1 and on cycle 1

Came off microgynon on 6th Jan and been having some weird cramps that felt like af was due again practically days after stopping!

Have some 'fertility issues' which is why we've started trying now (as opposed to my much planned 4 years time) but hoping to be lucky! Smile

bassetmum · 23/01/2017 21:29

Hi to all the newcomers. Well Ive had some ewcm too although I did have to check my cp to find it.

Its amazing how nuts ttc makes you

Kaydee2017 · 23/01/2017 21:54

Ah flora l, no advice but just wanted to send you Flowers fx you get a static smiley soon!!

Sorry for AF partridge - are your cycles normally that length?

Hi EMWH Grin over thinking comes with the TTC territory, and it's hard work! Hope this is your month!

Hi also blanket, fx your coming off the pill journey is smooth!

Good news about the EWCM basset - DTD time??

Fx & good luck to all!!

EMHW123 · 24/01/2017 08:09

Thanks kaydee! Fx for you too! How long have you been trying? It's frustrating!

The 2ww is the worst! I'm doing dry Jan and when Aunt Flo arrived bang on last Friday I just wanted to go to the pub!

Baby dust to you all! X

Partridge27 · 24/01/2017 09:59

Kaydee since I've had the implant removed they've been 25,24 and now 20. Prior to the implant they were never regular, anywhere between 21 days and 35 so at least they seem more regular.
Does anyone else have short cycles? I suppose as long as I ovulate early enough in the cycle it shouldn't be a problem?

bassetmum · 24/01/2017 10:25

Partridge Ive come off the pill. Cycle 6 now and I have had cycles of the following length
28 days
26 days
27 days
29 days
25 days
So not short but all over the shop. Do you track your ovulation? In theory your luteal phase (post ovulation ) should be stable.

florafoxtrot · 24/01/2017 11:24

Didn't even bother with an OPK this morning as I was tired and grumpy - we'll DTD tonight though anyway.
Welcome to the newbies - it is good to have the support network here for when you need a rant and you can't have it in real life!
Great news on the EWCM Basset - time to get on the horse again?!

KittyKat73 · 24/01/2017 11:36

hey guys

just been catching up on all the posts over the weekend.

pj hope your feeling better after friday! it sounds like an ordeal but at least it has gave you peace of mind :)

im currently on CD 54! feeling weirdly relaxed about it all though just getting on with everything and thinking " Meh AF will appear when it appears" so until then im wearing my nicest knickers not getting my hopes up over every cramp or odd feeling and DTD whenever we like with no TCC pressure which is lovely Grin

I POAS yesterday but got a faulty test! suppose i have bought so many of them i would bound to have one haha but i have had 2 BFN within a month so def not preggers. just testing every now and then to make sure.

Piehunter · 24/01/2017 12:00

Welcome all newbies Smile

I've been doing so well to keep my mind off ttc, have lots of distractions with doing up a house before moving in and logistical stuff around that, all goes to pot when I wipe 7dpo and have watery pink cm.. Sensible brain goes right, that's it, we're out. Tiny stupid part goes oooh but could be implantation bleed. Been here before!! Was not implantation bleeding, just days of uncertainty. Blush WILL NOT SYMPTOM SPOT.

blanketfort · 24/01/2017 13:45

Thanks Kaydee!

I was on it for 13 years so fx, I did do the ovulation testing sticks though and seemed to have a few days that were positives so who knows Confused

Blissfulignorance · 24/01/2017 16:44

Welcome all newbies

Hugs to those on super long cycles, I can't offer any advice as I haven't taken BC for years and years. We used condoms before TTC I'm on cycle 7 now.

I really wish I had something to blame like the pill or an implant. I'm cd 15 now and unsure weather I should start considering myself in the tww or not last 2 cycles were 28 and 24 days and I'm usually 26 days. Who knows. We are continuing dtd for another week or so. Got my birthday at the end of the week and I'm planning to get boozy mostly because I'm fed up of not being preggers and because I have a good excuse.

Bit of a negative long whingy post so sorry about that. Been quiet for ages thought I'd pop in for a moan Grin

Kaydee2017 · 24/01/2017 17:19

EMHW only been since Nov for us, but in preparation, I have been overthinking for longer than that!!

I wasn't on the implant partridge but from what I've read, they either seem to be irregular like yours, or people tend to miraculously tend to conceive 2 days after having it out! I think your plan of testing from AF would be good though, and DTD every other day from then too, just to be sure!

Kitty hope your relaxation & best knickers invoke Sod's law! Fx!!

Pie do you have any more distractions lined up for the rest of the 2WW? I know nothing can stop the symptom spotting, but maybe doing something can reduce the frequency? That is my plan anyway, already lining things up for the next 2 weeks myself Grin although I'm sure mine will all go sideways too at the first twinge! Fx for you!!

Bliss Could you just continue DTD as a way of covering yourself in case Ov is late, and try not to think about the 2WW? Hope you birthday plans are a lovely distraction too! Smile

Piehunter · 24/01/2017 18:42

bliss sorry you're feeling rubbish at the moment, if you can't moan here then where can you?! All entitled to a rant now and then.

flora totally get the grumpiness and ignoring opks, I'm also (really naughtily) bad at grumping over taking my vitamins when I'm angry at ttc Confused

pj's woohoo for ewcm! I think that's the first time I've seen you mention it?! Cake < ewcm prize choc cake (that sounds unintentionally gross. Sorry!)

kaydee I'm being good in all other respects! Grin Just spotting is hard to ignore. I have much distraction and stress for a good 6 weeks minimum. In some ways getting pregnant now would be less than ideal but having started trying in June (I get my cycle numbers muddled 😂) we stop for nothing now! Tonight I am drinking wine!

Pyjamas81 · 24/01/2017 19:17

Nuts day at work and haven't kept up here!

So I just got home and got a positive OPK (pic below) and I confirmed it with clear blue digi and got a static smiley - arrggghhh. That means dtd tonight, tomorrow and day after, so 4 days in a row including last night. GAH. This always damn happens! Flashing smiley in the morning then surge picked up early evening!

Yep pie - I never ever get ewcm, so it was a surprise! Hardly any, but something!

I will totally catch up properly once dinner is out of the way Smile

First time TTC - thread five!
Dollydaydream2829 · 24/01/2017 19:22

Hi guys,
I'm new to all of this but have been a bit of a silent member for the last little while! I've been keeping up to date with all your posts. I like how supportive and genuinely happy everyone seems to be for each other! Here's my story....
28
TTC #1
Came off my BCP in August however had a little panic and played it safe until November where we actively started to try. Had my first ? at new year when my af didn't arrive on time. I'd been tracking my cycles since coming off the pill and I'm a religious 28day-er. As I'd never been late before, even before I went on BCP, and because I'd been feeling a bit nauseous and a lot more tired, I took a test - BFN. Confirmed to me though that I was definitely all for the baby train as I was gutted. And just shows you what your body is capable of doing to you when you really want something. Also, it was Xmas so I was probs more stressed and a lot more tired due to shift work/parties etc.
So this month marked the first month of using OPKs. I had a positive on CD13 but another one on CD16 although that was a lot more faint. I made sure to BD both these days and have pretty much been following the every other day rule. I'm on either 4 DPO or 1 DPO? Either way, judging by my usual cycles, I should be due AF 3rd Feb. So it's just the waiting game I guess now!
