LisaSimpsonsbff · 05/12/2016 17:02

Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

Age 29
Cycle #4
Cycle day 1

Thanks kaydee and cheese! Appt is at 10.30am tomorrow and I think it only takes about 15mins. Although considering how hard my smear tests are to do, it could be longer. Just did an OPK and there's a faint line - hopefully gearing up to FW kicking off on Saturday!

Blissfulignorance · 19/01/2017 20:13

Good luck tomorrow pj hope it all goes well and isn't too uncomfortable.

Eva30 · 19/01/2017 20:44

Arr pjs the night out sounds great but not about the lost wallet! Good luck for tomorrow, hope it all goes ok

Pyjamas81 · 19/01/2017 20:46

Thanks Eva!

Just got a call from the bar I was at - they've now found my wallet! I'd called them earlier but they said they didn't have it. I've cancelled all my cards now!! But really pleased I'll get my photo back ☺️

Pyjamas81 · 19/01/2017 20:47

And thanks blissful as well - I'm nervous!

DancingUnicorn · 19/01/2017 21:57

Pjs great news about the photo! Hope it goes ok tomorrow!

Kaydee2017 · 19/01/2017 22:23

Ooooh lots of things to have fx for you pyjamas!!

And excellent news about your wallet, and they do say it comes in threes!! Hope all goes well tomorrow - will check back to see how you got on Smile

JeNeBaguetteRien · 20/01/2017 10:54

Good luck PJS, hope it's not too uncomfortable and brings you a step closer to BFP.

Great news about the wallet and photo, maybe your luck is on the up!

JeNeBaguetteRien · 20/01/2017 11:12

Welcome to Sofa and Partridge.

Hope you had a great birthday Hippy.

I also hate the dentist but Kaydee has inspired me to book an appointment and get it over with (plus Mumsnet keeps showing a topic about bleeding gums in pregnancy like another reminder).

Hope everyone has a fab weekend, AF is still here (she normally overtays her welcome!). I am going out for a very rare steak and a lot of some Wine tonight, and will eat the delicious pâté that DH bought and I shouted at him because if I did get pregnant he'd have to eat it all and I wouldn't get any. I know it may be daft but have been TTC too long and getting on a bit so I don't eat pâté or risky cheeses or cured meats in the TWW just in case. I think it will be easier if when a BFP comes along as it will feel worth the deprivation.
I didn't realise what a greedy sod I was, TTC really is a journey of discovery!

Any weird cravings Seahawk, Moonlight, Kirsty? (I can't remember if Ruski* is this thread or not).

Piehunter · 20/01/2017 11:17

Hope it's all gone OK today pj's

Pyjamas81 · 20/01/2017 12:09

So I've had the HSG - posting this update on both boards I'm on so don't have to type it twice! Hope no one minds.

What 'fun' today has been - I took the antibiotics 2hrs before appt and felt soooooo sick at work. Spent over half an hour in the disabled loos lying on the floor and trying not to be sick. Luckily it cleared up just before I had to get on the tube or I may have cleared out a carriage!

The HSG itself only took about 5 mins, and I'm not going to lie, I nearly cried. I don't want to freak anyone out though - everyone is different and my cervix apparently tilts backwards so he had to work hard to get it in right position which made it worse than it probably is for most people. I can barely get through smear tests because they're so difficult.

They then insert something through the cervix so they can inject the dye (ouch) and when the dye was going through it felt like severe period cramps (which I don't really get so was a surprise) and burning. I have to admit - there were tears in my eyes and a lot of heavy breathing!

The good news is - everything is clear and he didn't see any problems - hurrah! The dye took longer to get through right tube but made it through in the end. They said it could mean a range of things including some debris in the tube or a tight tube. I'm hoping it's some debris which was flushed away! I'm now spotting quite heavily and they advised me not to dtd for 24hrs to give the dye time to clear out. That's fine, FW kicks off tomorrow night anyway!

Starfish33 · 20/01/2017 12:24

PJS, what a morning you've had! Flowers Great to hear that no problems were found. Hope that you have some time to chill, rest and treat yourself after your ordeal, and wishing you an active and successful FW! x

Pyjamas81 · 20/01/2017 12:31

If only I could rest - am straight back at work! So glad that's over though 😊 Looking forward to kicking off FW tomorrow!

Eva30 · 20/01/2017 12:32

Fantastic pjs and that's really interesting so thanks for the info too. What's the next step for you now then?

Pyjamas81 · 20/01/2017 12:37

I'm going to make an appt with consultant to talk through results properly. She said at our last appointment that if my tubes are clear which they are, we can carry on ttc naturally for a couple of months before deciding whether we want to step it up a gear with IVF. DH and I have talked about it and we're going to give it all we've got for three more months and if no joy go for ivf as my low AMH and follicle count means time isn't on our side.

Where are you in your cycle at the moment Eva?

Kirstyinnorway · 20/01/2017 13:17

No real cravings for me baguette, but plenty of aversions (the smell of coffee grounds, tea with milk - and I used to drink 6-8 cups per day, beef in any form). Aside from absolutely pornographic gigantic boobs, I really don't feel pregnant at all. Of course, that makes me really worried, so I've ended up booking a scan next Friday in the UK (I'll be about 9w 5d but I guess they'll confirm that then). I'll share my pic then if you'd like Smile

Glad it went Ok for you pjs and fx that you're one of the ones that conceives soon after the treatment. Sounds pretty grim to be honest, well done for getting through it so bravely and just getting back to work!

bassetmum · 20/01/2017 13:25

Wow you sound like a trooper pjs. Fx (and everything else - maybe crossing legs isnt a good idea Wink) that its the thing you need to get that Bfp!!

Going to have a chat with the OH tonight in the car to his mums as we always have the big chats in the car haha about trying a bit harder now. If we did succeed this month I'd be due the month before I am 30 which would be a nice gift to have.

Random question I want to do a 30 before 30 list. I've got 20 things has anybody else got any ideas of what I could include??

Kaydee2017 · 20/01/2017 13:42

I do not get on with dentists but I know it's important so I just get on with it, so good on you baguette, glad to have inspired Grin

Wow pyjamas, that is a morning and a half!! So glad nothing found though, and and you can get on with FW! Hope you have a relaxing evening planned?!

Hope all is well at your scan Kirsty Smile

Ooh basset that sounds like a great idea - what do you have on the list already??

I am having a few glasses of wine tonight then going to try & be good during FW, no wine, just lots of DTD!!

Pyjamas81 · 20/01/2017 13:53

Thanks basset - I'm really tired now after all the drama!

I think I'll go straight home to my sofa kaydee - just saw that I'm not allowed any booze for 48hrs because it reacts badly with antiobiotic! Curses - was looking forward to a glass of 🍷!

bassetmum · 20/01/2017 14:33

Pjs i can imagine.

Kaydee the list is as follows
Read 3 classic novels
Set up a veggie garden
West end show
A memory scrapbook for my dad
A scrapbook of my uni photos
Finish some of my crafty projects
Give blood
Save more
Spa day
365 photo challenge
Redecorate the house
Learn to run again
Holiday abroad
More yoga
Visit some national trust sites
Big red bus tour of London
Declutter
Cookery course
Learn how to wallpaper
Go to the beach
Go to a ballet

That's actually 21 haha. Obviously I'd love one to be have a baby but as my family see the list i dont want to put it on

allthecheese · 20/01/2017 16:40

Ahhh great list basset, I actually can't think of anything else on top of that (I am massively lacking in imagination!).

pyjamas sounds like a rollercoaster of a morning! Now you get the fun part :).

I am still AF free and CD52. I am on a ski trip with friends who have bought their babies along (both of whom conceived the first month of trying) and I am feeling jealous. I know it's only my first month of trying, but lack of period is making me feel so rubbish. Where had it gone?!!!??

Seahawk80 · 21/01/2017 07:31

Hi Baguette enjoy all your forbidden foods! I'm lucky that I don't like pate but I miss the cheeses and cured meats. We're going to Madrid for Easter - it will be torture! No weird cravings here, I had lots of aversions like curry, fish and red meat at first but back to normal now. I love fruit and yogurt which is good but I also eat lots more chocolate than normal. I think that's because we have more nights in than being an actual craving!

Pjs hope you're feeling ok after yesterday. Fx for bfps for everyone soon.

Kaydee2017 · 21/01/2017 08:53

Hope you enjoyed your relaxing evening pyjamas!! How are you feeling today?

We ended up at the pub last night, but restrained myself to 3, and now planning to kick off F2Weeks at CD9, given I aren't tracking ovulation - don't want to miss the egg!

Basset - how about doing say 3 museums? Are you into knitting or crocheting? If you are, you could have something in mind to make, if not, you could learn?

Sorry you've not had AF yet cheese (not something you think you'll say often when talking about TTC!!) do you think it is just stress? I know relaxing when you want something to happens isn't easy, but might be the best quick fix for you?

Hope you all have great weekends planned!!

Pyjamas81 · 21/01/2017 08:55

A bit of pain on right side which is understandable as it was the right tube which struggled a bit, but not enough to put off starting FW!

That's a great list basset! The only thing I would add to mine would be learn a totally different language - like Arabic or Japanese!

You must be so frustrated cheese - the wait for cycles to regulate is so damn annoying!

kiwi17 · 21/01/2017 09:29

pyjamas that all sounds terrifying, I had to go for a colposcopy appointment in the summer because I had AF for about 3 months continuously and that was horribly intrusive! Luckily they didn't find anything and it was just the implant messing with my body. Anyway, quick query please... I had EWCM last Monday and then nothing so presumed I obulated around CD13/14 but now have started having it again over the last couple of days... Now on CD20. Do you think I missed it or got it wrong? Is it possible to ovulate twice?? Eek.

I like the list idea basset I would probably put down to travel somewhere specifically like I really want to go to Prince Edward Island in Canada to see where Anne of green gables was set :)
