Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

Age 29
Cycle #4
Cycle day 1

Unicorn I had what I think was ovulation pain on Monday, sharp pains on one side of my lower abdomen roughly where an ovary would be. Didn't do any OPK's and temping though so I don't know for sure, just guessing.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Really trying my best not to think about what imaginary symptoms I might had. Had a busy day today so it's been easy to put it out of my mind but now I'm home and sitting watching tv my mind is whirring again!! I take my hat off to all you ladies who have been doing this for many months!

Piehunter · 15/01/2017 19:37

pj's glad your fuck it day was successful!

Welcome unicorn and wine

Hi again baguette hope you can get things rolling.

Looks like a rough time all round at the moment! New year is a crap time I find if something hasn't changed you were hoping would have...

I'm about to ovulate, cd21 positive opk today (gave in and did them when it didn't seem to be arriving, 2-4 days later than usual) so I have a banging headache and am sooo grumpy. Really have to dtd tonight as DH has worked 2 x 20 hour days Friday and Saturday so no chance those days and as it stands because ov day was late we've only managed once in FW so far! If ov had been normal would've got 3 in. Nothing like knowing you have to dtd to make you want to HmmGrin

Seahawk80 · 15/01/2017 19:56

Pjs I meant to say if you like hiking as an F it day we did a really good one one month. We got the train to Eastborne and hiked to a village called Alfriston (I've stayed there twice once at the Dean hotel and once at the Star Inn - both good, Star has more character). The next day you can walk about 45 mins to the nearest station and get the train home. It's a great hike and the pubs in Alfriston are lush.

Pyjamas81 · 15/01/2017 20:06

Thanks for the recommendation Seahawk! Sounds perfect!

Kirstyinnorway · 15/01/2017 21:12

Hiya bliss, yes I'm still here, silently hanging out like a weirdo and following all your posts! I didn't want to annoy anyone by carrying on posting - especially when I'm in that period when I have no new news Grin I won't get a scan until 18 weeks here.

But I am following as I'm a nosy bastard attached to all you lovely ladies and I just want to hear your good news when it comes. Sending lots of FlowersFlowersFlowers to those that AF has got since I last posted and congrats to stepmum.

(Hi to the newbies, I'm one of the graduates here, currently 8 weeks preggo and worrying about all the things )

JeNeBaguetteRien · 15/01/2017 21:21

Thanks Kaydee, PJs, Pie

Sorry you were feeling down PJs - it's understandable and I think good to acknowledge how frustrating/upsetting this can be. And then plan the next fuck it day and hope the law of sod kicks in.

Hope you can DTD tonight Pie though I'm questioning myself about how weird that sounds!

I forgot to congratulate Stepmum - wonderful news, also very glad to hear things are going well for Mojitos, Seahawk and Kirsty (you ladies are the opposite of baby bombs, you give hope!).

Basset my DH is broody for both dogs and babies. He thinks we shoud get a dog now but I was hoping to wait until the (imaginary) baby is a toddler...I suppose it would be good to have all the puppy training done.

Mumh3art16 · 15/01/2017 22:22

Who knew the positive OPK would result in this. Roll on more BFP's!!!

First time TTC - thread five!
bassetmum · 15/01/2017 22:23

Baguette having a puppy is like having a toddler but you cant take it with you anywhere. Ours is now nearly 9 months old and I am glad we didn't have both a baby and young puppy at the same time. Although my breed isn't technically an adult till 18months 2 years so that's sometime between October 17 and April 18 so hopefully there will be a bit of an overlap.

Ive currently tried some bedtime tea and rescue remedy night tonight in the hope i will get some sleep. we watched girl on the train today. Glad i read the book first but its a very good adaptation.

DancingUnicorn · 15/01/2017 22:37

SmittenPears · 16/01/2017 00:59

Kaydee2017 · 16/01/2017 07:19

Congratulations mum!! Hope the BFPs continue Grin

bassetmum · 16/01/2017 07:23

Congratulations mum. Cross post last night.

Hippychic79 · 16/01/2017 10:07

Congrats mum:))) xxx
Did you dtd on the day you got positive opk?

Mumh3art16 · 16/01/2017 10:12

No I did it all the days I was predicted fertile and that's it. We've been arguing like crazy so I suspect it happened straight away and Then my hormones wreaking havoc 😊
Keep the BFPs coming xxx

Hippychic79 · 16/01/2017 11:17

Wow... my oh doesnt want to start trying properly til later on in the year so dtd every day in fw is a bit unrealistic for me ... sadly :(
Thanks for answering and congrats again xxxx

bassetmum · 16/01/2017 11:42

Blimey I don't think there would be any chance of me and the oh dtd that frequently.

Ahh the knicker checking game is strong today. Got normal af cramps but no af. Thought id have a look at my cervix position today and its medium. Medium height, firmness and sort of open. It feels wet too. Hmmm. Must not test tomorrow!!

Also on a rather silly note I couldn't leave the thread on 666 posts

lexilou86 · 16/01/2017 12:23

Pyjamas81 · 16/01/2017 12:36

Congrats mum!

And welcome newbies 😊

HSG booked for Friday (although they're going to see if they can squeeze me in on Weds) - Not looking forward to it!

Me and DH could never dtd that much either - tired just thinking about upcoming FW.

Aaaarrrgh hope AF stays away basset

KittyKat73 · 16/01/2017 16:16

Hi Ladies!

Congratulations mum lovely news :)

Sorry to hear all the BFN always got my FX for everyone.

Im currently on CD 46 Angry this is pretty unusual for me i came off the pill in june and my first proper cycle was 42 days and since then every month its gotten shorter. the cycle before this one was 32 days. I did have a few days of blood stained discharge on cd 19 for 4/5 days which iv never had before begining to wonder if that was a weird light early AF and im on another cycle. ( sorry if i sound repetitive i know i mentioned this before but thought i better say again since there's so mange messages on here).

I bought ovulation sticks and planned to use them once i get my AF ( once i find it!!) but starting to think i should maybe contact my gp next month incase theres something underlying going on with me.

and of course to top everything else off within the past week iv been told about 2 more pregnancies Envy Sad

Eva30 · 16/01/2017 17:08

Congratulations mumh!
I can't remember if it was this thread with the Made in Chelsea fans but.. Binky is pregnant!

allthecheese · 16/01/2017 17:50

I have been stalking these boards and haven't yet posted, but thought I should because Kittykat I literally have the same problem as you.

Came off the pill in August, was having pretty normal cycles until now, when I am on day 42. I am freaking out that there is something wrong with my fertility. It's our first month of trying and I am definitely not pregnant. Anyway, thought I should let you know you're not alone!!

Hi to everyone. I'm 32, DH is 30.

CD 42 (grrrrr)
Cycle 1
No idea if I am even ovulating at all, and super upset about my body being ridiculous. We have friends who are really struggling to get pregnant and that is making me panic.

I think I'm just going to fork out for a fertility MOT to put my mind at rest.

SmittenPears · 16/01/2017 22:03

That happened to me last cycle cheese, it ended up being 50-some days! I came off the pill in Sept. Sending cycle vibes. Cake

bassetmum · 17/01/2017 06:36

Well I think that is me out this month. Just had some pink on the tissue on wiping this morning.

Hippychic79 · 17/01/2017 07:06

Flowers basset ... try and stay positive... i know it's hard!
I'm on cd3 today so still got af.
Sorry to read about the irregular/long cycles ... I wasn't sure if I was ovulating so I've started having weekly acupuncture and found that it's really helping ... i only pay £7.50 per session so worth enquiring ladies definitely ... I'm in the south west.

Welcome all newbies

And thank you for those who understand about not being able to dtd that often - my oh has a lower sex drive than me and is often tired / stressed so can't always finish the job ... which is totally freaking frustrating in fw!!!! It's annoying the rest of the time but especially annoying in fw !!!!

Here's to some Feb bfp's xxxxx

Kaydee2017 · 17/01/2017 07:11

Major Fx for you on Friday pyjamas!! Hope it works as a miracle cure for you!

Hi lexi & welcome cheese & kitty and Flowers for crappy cycles, sending good vibes your way!

On the subject of DTD, I am gearing up for FW and we have a tentative plan to try every other day for 2 weeks (with FW smack bang in the middle), however will see where we get with that when we have both been at work till 7pm & just want to go to bed!
