LisaSimpsonsbff · 05/12/2016 17:02

Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

Age 29
Cycle #4
Cycle day 1

Have just realised that I forgot that DH and I were supposed to have sex this morning! We're in different places this evening and today is ov day... Oh well, hopefully last night's little swimmers will stick around!

How many days before AF is due can you do a PG test?
I'm dying to do one but don't want to see BFN if it's far to soon to even show up.

Congratulations Hells!!! Great xmas present Smile

MouseLove · 23/12/2016 18:46

Loz honestly id wait until you miss AF as before can be a bit hit and miss.

Pyjamas81 · 23/12/2016 21:36

Have got back from camping and have just seen your great news hells!! Congratulations!!! What an amazing Christmas surprise SmileSmile How did DH react?

Glad you got fantastic news in the end seahawk, that must have been a nightmare few days. Glad you can relax a bit now.

Sorry to hear about AF basset - let's enjoy a few glasses of Wine

Camping was great - many beers were consumed! Going to do what you did seahawk and plan something around AF time which we won't be able to do when I'm pg or when we have a baby. Come on, month 7!

Kirstyinnorway · 23/12/2016 21:39

basset I'm so sorry about the BFN and associated confusion... A very weird cycle for you this month. How are you feeling?

Ah bliss you sound a bit at the end of your tether Flowers Hope AF passes quickly for you and you can start with a clean sheet after Christmas. TTC is indeed nothing like we were told in school. I think it could use a lot more discussion about the reality of it all.

pjs I can't believe your AF lasts only a day you lucky duck! How long will you have to wait(ish) for ov now?

Hello fairy I'm in very early pregnancy but have been hanging out with these ladies while TTC and they are all wonderful. I didn't know what any of the acronyms meant either, and they helped me through it all. I bought myself OPKs and downloaded apps, asked them advice and I'm just not quite ready to leave the thread yet. I am gunning for them (and you) to get nice BFPs all round!

Bloody hell seahawk, how worrying for you. I'm so glad your bean is looking healthy and you feel more relaxed.

Sorry you're sad walsh, impending AF won't help the tearyness with your hormones. Hope you can enjoy a glass or two over Christmas and start again afterwards Flowers

Lisa isn't "old" sperm meant to be better? I'm keeping my FX for you this month.

Loz mouse is right, especially if you would be upset by a false BFN. Easier said than done, but you'll feel better if you wait!

And finally - Hells you little dancer, massive congratulations! Well done. Already seen you on the other thread. Had a good feeling for you this month, I am so so pleased for you.

trippingoverrainbows · 23/12/2016 22:32

Hi all hoping to join in too. TTC no.1 after having nexplanon out on 19th Dec. AF made an appearance last month (1st in years) and a random bleed yesterday so no clue what cycle day or anything. Just hoping my body will regulate itself soon Confused
Congratulations hells, hoping your positive news will rub off on the rest of us Smile xxx

Pyjamas81 · 24/12/2016 01:46

I ovulate anytime between CD10 and 15(ish) Kirsty so will be back on the opks again soon! Hope you're well! Have you got any other symptoms yet?

Have started taking my supplements - I'm going to start rattling soon!

Kirstyinnorway · 24/12/2016 07:26

Ah I thought you'd maybe get an earlier ov from such a short AF pjs (although maybe that wouldn't be a good thing), but that's around the same as average I guess. Interested to hear about the supplements and what difference they make to you!

No symptoms here! A bit tired but could easily be that I've cut caffeine out my diet, or that we had visitors. I'm sure some symptoms will come, but it does rather blow my theory of symptom-spotting during the TWW if I'm sitting here at 5 weeks (tomorrow) with zip! Obviously the heaving while cleaning out my bunnies was completely coincidental probably something to do with feeding them brussel sprouts at this time of year Grin

Hey tripping, I had a nexplanon implant too! Although I always had my period while on it. Did you lose weight when it came out? I had such a dramatic weight loss with no other lifestyle changes. It was bizarre!

trippingoverrainbows · 24/12/2016 09:23

Hi Kirsty, it's only been out for 5 days so far but I'll keep my fingers crossed for a great weight loss then!! Grin

Blissfulignorance · 24/12/2016 10:12

Congratulations hells fantastic xmas present. How did you tell DH? So happy for you.

Sorry about af Bassett I'm not on good terms with her this month so really feel your misery. But we can drink all the wine this xmas! Also hope the pup is doing good.

Seahawk what an utterly shit rollercoaster you've been on. I cannot imagine the stress and anxiety you have felt and I'm so very happy that all has settled down. I'm still keeping everything crossed for you and hope the rest of your pregnancy is stress free.

I'm so jealous of you every month pj im cd 8 and I'm almost sure she's left the building today.

Hi Kirsty I'm actually pleased you're symptom free at the moment, I've seen a few threads of mums in waiting at the end of their tether with nausea and all sorts.

Welcome newbies, be patient with your body it will settle soon.

I'm feeling better now. This last week and a bit have been awful but there have been some positives. DH is a superstar he's so understanding and empathetic of my fucking hormones. Work stress really didn't help at all but that's one of the quirks of my career.

Anyway I start the new job at the end of January so it's almost a good thing that I haven't got upduffed yet and I'll have more time settling in before I leave on maternity if that ever happens. Restocked on ICs but not delving in the opks yet.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Seahawk80 · 24/12/2016 10:51

Thanks everyone! It certainly has been a rollercoaster! I still have to have some extra scans and they will monitor the growth at the end and I might have to have the baby a bit early but it all seems quite standard so I'm quite relaxed. I guess the pus side is apart from all the stress I've not had a hard time with nausea etc.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and New Year and fx for lots of 2017 BFPs Xmas Grin

bassetmum · 24/12/2016 13:34

Bliss the puppys eye is looking much better but we think shes is starting her first season today bless her. I joked with my oh that at least she's only having two ever rather than 13 a year every year for years. Lucky thing.

Kirsty still feeling odd. I've been having really bad cramps since Thursday night but I'm not even sure I would class it as a light period. TMI. Its been mostly brown and only really there when I wipe. Normally I go through 3-4 pads a day not this time. Odd!! How are you feeling?

MoonlightMojitos · 24/12/2016 17:45

Congrats hells! :)!

Glad everything's ok with results and baby now seahawk, must have been very worrying.

Sorry for those who af got :( but hope you all enjoy lots of drinks over the festive period and make the most of it before a fresh start next year! Just having a quick catch up and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas x x

Also... just to confirm what kirsty said I was also the same and didn't have any symptoms til I was about 6 weeks when I started feeling nauseous and I never really got sore boobs so try not so symptom spot! Makes you realise it's not as easy to tell as you think it'll be and you're not out til af arrives.

MouseLove · 24/12/2016 19:49

Just dropping in to say Merry Christmas ladies. Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow. X

bluebell17 · 25/12/2016 01:50

LisaSimpsonsbff · 27/12/2016 09:28

Hello ladies! Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas? How is everyone doing now? 5dpo here and (obviously!) nothing to report.

OP posts:
trippingoverrainbows · 27/12/2016 10:00

Hi Lisa nothing had a great Xmas hope you had a good one too! Nothing to report here either I'm afraid, two AF in Dec after nexplanon removal so no clue what my body is up to (second implantation bleed?! Wishful thinking so trying not to get excited) . Really just waiting on AF to work out proper cycles etc Confused

trippingoverrainbows · 27/12/2016 10:00

*nothing to report

Kirstyinnorway · 27/12/2016 10:15

Belated Merry Christmas to all!

Bliss, are you still being odd? I'm feeling fine thanks. The sickness has kicked in in the last few days but to be honest I'm delighted - I was worried by my lack of symptoms. I'm sure it gets wearing after a while (and some have it far worse than me), but for now I just feel car-sick pretty much constantly. I've lost some weight through lack of appetite but to be honest, I'm just over a "healthy" BMI (although I still wear a size 12) so if I drop into the "healthy" range I'll actually be quite chuffed!

Lisa the TWW is a killer, when is AF due?

In other news, today I'm spending the day throwing away all dry goods from my cupboard as I discovered that pantry moths had moved in last night (after lifting a cracker to my mouth and noticing right before I bit in that there was a little moth looking back at me). Lovely. Up to my elbows in diluted vinegar, and washing all my tins in boiling water. Sigh.

Coi123 · 27/12/2016 11:01

Another belated Merry Christmas from me! I thought it was quiet on this group as I hadn't had any notifications but coming on today I have lots to catch up on! I must check my notification preferences. Congratulations to the bfp's on here since I was last on and fingers crossed for the rest of us. I'm 11dpo and getting cramps and just noticed abit of blood so I think AF is on her way :-(

FairyAnn · 27/12/2016 11:04

Thanks Kirsty I just found another tab on Ovia so now know that I'm 2nd cycle and CD17 😊
