Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

Age 29
Cycle #4
Cycle day 1

Ovulation Predictor Kit Smile

FairyAnn · 22/12/2016 10:58

Ah thanks! No, not using that

LisaSimpsonsbff · 22/12/2016 13:20

Ooh, I'm due on the 6th too, flora and fairy! Solid smiley this morning - DH got smashed for the end of term last night, so I'm hoping his hangover will have retreated enough by the time I get home from work that we can give it a good go tonight...!

Fx for some hangover horn for your hubby Lisa! We've sort of been trying SMEP this month (after I decided to get OPKs a whirl) so shall also be endeavouring to dtd tonight. I'm at the stage where I'm feeling pretty positive etc. We shall see how long that lasts!

bassetmum · 22/12/2016 14:50

Still no sign of af today yet but I feel like I have been kicked in the uterus so I dont think she is far away.

Good luck for those in their fw over the Christmas period (no pun intended)

Pyjamas81 · 22/12/2016 15:31

Morning ladies (well it's still morning here!)

The KW continues for you basset! Fx she stays away.

We attempt SMEP as well Flora - for a couple who are quite content with dtd once a week (if that), it's definitely been a challenge.

My DH got smashed during last cycle Lisa - hangover horn to the rescue though ha ha.

Welcome fairy! I've learned that any twinge could be a sign of AF, pregnancy, ovulation or just my body being a tricky mothereffer ha ha.

AF has now left the building after only a day - but now have the lurgy and we're going camping tonight Confused

On another note - I love melatonin! It's main use is a ms a natural sleep aid (as well as allegedly promoting egg quality) and I had such a great night's sleep! I'm a bit of an insomniac so this Is great discovery Smile

bassetmum · 22/12/2016 18:22

I don't think she is pjs. Just been to the loo and have some spotting. At least it'll mean some alcohol can be consumed over Christmas. Wow one day af if only. Enjoy your camping.

florafoxtrot · 22/12/2016 18:27

Yeah it's been a bit of a challenge here too, must say so far it's one of those enjoying challenges but I am rapidly running out of imaginative moves!
Off work until the 9th of January! Fucking dancer!

Seahawk80 · 22/12/2016 22:16

Hi Everyone, just wanted to drop in and say hello and catch up. Sorry to everyone who AF got or had BFNs - have a lovely alcohol soaked Xmas!

PJs I really hoped this would be your month and that you got a bfp while away with your family.

I didn't want to come on here with my stress last week as it's not an antenatal thread but at our 12 week scan the odds for Down's syndrome and the other two trisonomies (both of which basically mean the baby won't survive) was 1/13. As you can imagine it was awful, I had a CVS which is an invasive test and had some bleeding afterwards but luckily all is fine and finally got the results on Tuesday and it's all fine. We had a private scan today and all looks good, such a relief!

Any of you who are 35 or over I would really reccomend having the harmony test rather than the NHS tests if you can afford it. Our harmony results were much lower risk. I only had the NHS tests because I just assumed I should. Once you are 35 the odds shoot up and you are in the same risk group as a 39 year old with 5 kids who smokes and lives on takeaways as they don't take lifestyle into account. After trying for so long finding that there could be something seriously wrong was so terrifying.

Anyway it was all fine in the end and I feel like I can get excited now! I could have found out the sex from the tests but we decided to keep it a surprise as planned.

Thanks so much for letting me outstay my welcome on here, I'll still pop back every so often and I hope to see some BFPs soon!

bassetmum · 23/12/2016 07:41

Wow sounds like you've had some ups and downs seahawk at least you've had a fabulous outcome.

Well I'm definitely out this month. She arrived good and proper this morning. Just got a decision to make for next month with trying as at the moment I already have two nephews and a niece who have birthdays in the last week of September and first week of October.

MouseLove · 23/12/2016 08:29

Oh Seahawk sorry you've had a stressful few weeks!! Glad it's all come back clear now. Xmas Smile

Basset, I wouldn't stop personally, babies can be early or late. My friend waited for 4 months so she wouldn't have a baby in the summer. Ended up having baby at 30 weeks!!!!

I'm CD26 today which is looking hopeful for a regular length cycle!!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 23/12/2016 08:30

Really sorry about AF, basset - hugs and lots of Christmas Wine for you! I would go for it next month - four rather than three cousins having near birthdays isn't a big change, and could even be nice!

HellsBellsK · 23/12/2016 08:44

Oh Seahawk that must of been a very stressful week for you both. So happy you have better news now.

Well ladies I tested this morning and to my shock I got a BFP - tested first on a first response and it came up straight away then on a clear blue and got pregnant 1 - 2 weeks.
I really thought I was out as we DTD as much as previous months.
DH doesn't know yet.. he went to work early this morning before I tested. I will tell him when he gets in he's on a half day and we also have dinner booked.

Good luck to everyone else here - more BFP are just around the corner. x

Seahawk80 · 23/12/2016 08:47

Wow congrats Hels - it's a Christmas miracle Xmas Smile

HellsBellsK · 23/12/2016 08:47
