TTC baby number 2! December Christmas wish!

Hi Everyone!

Sooo stats:

I'm 28 yo
Have DS who is 2.7
Currently have a 26 day cycle (was much shorter but balanced out)
Casually TTC for about a year
Seriously TTC with proper tools Confused ie charting for 2 cycles

This month OPK says I ov'd CD13/14 so due AF around 10/12. I have always been in tune with my body/cycle but kind of expected it to just happen (naively) as it did with DS. Turns out it isn't that simple! Sad

Anyone want to start their tww with me or just share their stories?!

Congratulations writer! I'm wondering how I'm going to get on ttc this time round with still breastfeeding. Ds still feeds a minimum of 5 times in 24 hours, which still sounds a lot, but it so better than a few weeks ago when he was wanting to feed most hours during the day. Hoping I can get it down to just first thing and before bed before too long, but with signs of back molars coming through I'm not sure how easy that's going to be.

baking - I know some people catch pregnant quite easily whilst breast feeding but after 9 cycles of BFNs I knew I had to try something and I decided that stopping BF'ing may have been the only answer.

DS was only feeding 2-3 times in a 24 hour period about 4 days a week (due to me working shifts and having to up to 24-48 hours without seeing him at times) so I guess I was just one of the unlucky ones. I was sad about stopping BF'ing but after 2yrs and 8 months of it I figured I'd done my time Grin

Writer at 23m I'm feeling pretty much done with bf, so 2yrs 8m is a great stint :)

To update, any + on tests have now disappeared, so treating this as cycle day 5. My other half is on night shifts now so going to be difficult to fit in dtd but luckily ov is xmas eve/day providing my cycle isn't messed up this month so he is off work, will get a few goes in!

So i must be around 5 DPO today, having alot of CM? Some EWCM and creamy yday, not really sure what to make of it, ive read about second surges so temped to do an OPK to check if im Gearing up to O again, really hope not because im due my period in 9 days and that will mean my LP is short? Gosh this is getting all complicAted now Confused

I got a flashing smiley face on my ovulation test yesterday then I refused to dtd with oH as he hadn't showered after cycling 😷

Sorry to hear that kski, hope you catch that egg on Xmas. I've noticed ewcm today so it'll be full on dtd for us I hope! Only dtd once so far and that was a good few days ago.

I was the same last cycle much more creamy cm and ewcm in my cycle so fingers crossed it is a good sign for you x

which would you trust - FF or Ovia for ovulation dates? I will do opk to keep track but they differ by about 4 days for my fertile window?!

AF arrived today, but knew we'd left it too late based on ewcm this month to be successful. Before DS cycle used to be 30 days, now between 1st and 2nd period 33 days, it will be interesting to see whether I keep with 33 day cycle or whether still bf/ return to regular periods will make it vary month to month.

Sara, 36, ttc2, ds 32months, 2mc, cycle 3, cd 19. Anyone finding ttc with a clingy toddler? currently bed sharing with my son so finding time or energy to dtd
challenging! keep falling asleep putting ds to sleep. i dont think i put him to sleep, he puts me to sleep! or am i just shattered!

@kski, I had a faint second line on my last cycle, told my family i thought i was pregnant. even wanted seats on trains bcos i felt pregnant! nausea, tighter trouser feeling, however i had very light bleeding for 10days which led to one large clot, no major cramping, just wiped blood everytime i went loo. than i felt like my period was coming. that pregnancy feeling had gone. tested and hpt was negative. i was sooo gutted. luckly my mum was very supportive.

just caught up on all the posts, and we are all on the same boat. obsessed charters, testers, reading posts for 2 hours now (see im obsessed) been using apps and the baby med fertility calculator. my luteal phase varies from 16-18 days and i tend to get opk positives around day 7-10. the app and calander pretty much get my od day spot on and i wouldnt say im very regular. however, i am slighty, no very curious why i tend to ovulate relatively early but have a longer luteal phase. not sure if that means anything.........

I am CD26, 12dpo. I usually have AF CD26-28. Have had negative HPT today and yesterday.
Symptom wise... had nipple discharge/colostrum yesterday on left side, have had sharp abdo pains very low down moving left to right, and some back ache. All off and on for last week but more yesterday. Had thick milky CM on 8/9DPO then a globule of yellowish EWCM last night. Cervix has moved up high today compared to yesterday. Symptom spotting like mad

congrats. Great start to the new year. Ill start testing next week but given i had the flu whilsg ovulation i am not too hopeful. i will be going drs next week. i have pcos and wasnt expecting to hit 5 cycles of ttc. i fell preg first cycle with my ds. fearful my age and weight are going against me :(

Huge congrats Kski and MummySara, what a lovely way to start the new year!

I'm not very good at keeping up with threads on mumsnet. I don't have a smartphone, so it just depends when I get chance to use my laptop, which isn't that often.

Not sure what's going on with me this month, as should be ovulating around now, but none of the usual signs I get. Maybe tmi, but nothing that resembles ewcm, I'm dry as anything, just like I was before my periods resumed. DS is getting better at going longer between feeds, so thought cycles would be getting on track, but who knows!

How is everyone else doing?

@bakingmad, dont worry I have been dry the whole 5months we were trying. The only thing that did stood out to me was during intercourse i did feel my cervix during my last cycle. You will see a bfp soon. Dont give up.
