Thread 21 TTC #1 - The one where all our cycles went haywire but we DID NOT GIVE UP

Calling all clomid-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX) We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Londonjam · 05/12/2016 18:19

Sounds like a nice chilled cycle kwick could be just what you need

EJ you are in perfect time enjoy a good shag please!

MouseLove · 05/12/2016 18:22

Evening. Af left the building on Saturday.

So sorry some of you are having a mare with families. I'm all honesty I don't know why we keep things so guarded as it's when we need the most support. Crazy isn't it? (I also haven't told anyone)

Something feels a little different in me and I can't pin point it. I'm feeling really calm and relaxed and looking forward to Christmas with family and TTC has kinda been pushed a little to the back of my mind. I'm really hoping my cycles level out soon. I always hoped I'd be pregnant by New Year but I don't think it's meant to be. Another year wishing the same thing. But I'm ok with it. Smile

Today is 1 day closer to us all holding our babies, wether that be naturally, medically or given. We will ALL get there. I promise. X

Mooseville · 05/12/2016 18:47

Evening girls! Great news here, our DNA testing came back as one in a million chance of Down Syndrome so finally I can relax....

I've created a new grads thread - I'm willing each and every one if you to be on here very soon!! I hope the link works!

miwelaisjacydo · 05/12/2016 19:47

Well done mooseville on creating a new thread in grads hopefully there will be a lot of us along soon to join you. PS glad harmony results came back as good.

miwelaisjacydo · 05/12/2016 19:48

Mouselove what a lovely post 😁

sk1pper · 05/12/2016 19:53

Hey girls, sorry I've been MIA for a couple of days, been crazy busy. I've done away with temping and opks now and I'm just getting on with life as the Doc said. Booked in some builders to get some much needed repairs done to my bathroom and they've already started, though like you Hep my house is now in complete upheaval. Can't wait to have a fully functioning and clean bathroom again.

A grad thread sounds like a very good idea moose, hopefully it will fill up fast. And congratulations on your test results, that's fabulous news.

Kwick - fingers crossed for your next IUI xx

Sorry haven't replied to everyone, I have been reading along at work though. LSFX!

kwick · 05/12/2016 20:04

Am so proud of you Hep Grin but you could always get Bromelain supplements...

Yes EJ!!! LSFX!!!

Great news moose!!! Well done!!!
Nice work on thread... I am longing to join...

Is it too early to go to schleep? Am feeling decidely worn out and have another early start (day work trip to Paris) tomorrow.

harrietm87 · 05/12/2016 20:05

moose good news - you must be so relieved! Did you fins out the sex??

So now AF is 5 days late...I've been doing opks and nothing. Google tells me they would def pick up hcg at this point if I was pregnant (plus we weren't even ttc this month!) so I'm sure I'm not and don't want to buy a test as feel like that's ridiculous! I just really want AF to come so I know I'm not broken Sad

HepKestrel · 05/12/2016 20:19

yey moose ! you must be so relieved !

kwick I love an early night - go for it ! How about a nice soak in the bath and then bed (with the option of a good book in the mix)

(i will look into bromelain)

lsfx for you harriet. you're not out till you're out.....

miwelaisjacydo · 05/12/2016 20:21

Kwick - after reading your post just realised it's 'wistful' not wishedfull!!

Oh Harriet hope you find out one way or another soon

Mooseville · 05/12/2016 20:44

Relief doesn't even come close. That week was like the longest 2ww and then some!!

We haven't found out the sex, the midwife told us the results over the phone and I asked her not to put it on the letter. Going to try and hold out and not find out if possible!

EJ2009 · 05/12/2016 20:54

How does everyone handle the " are you trying for a baby?" Question. People keep asking me. Colleagues etc. I hate lying but i also dont want people awaiting an announcement.

HepKestrel · 05/12/2016 21:00

EJ no one has been that direct to me..... what about "are you seriously asking me about my sex life? you first."

ok... i would never be brave enough myself!

Pugmummy87 · 05/12/2016 21:36

Evening all.
Alexia looks a great temp rise, fx for you this month.

Fx for the medicated iui Kwick, hopefully a chilled tww does the trick.

Moose so pleased you got a low risk result back. It's looking likely that NIPT (non invasive prenatal testing) will be available on the NHS in a couple of years time. It just has to go through several different parliamentary committees first!

So AF arrived in full swing yesterday. Then last night I was struck down by a nasty d&v bug! Just as I was starting a week's annual leave. Thankfully it seems to have been just a short illness, but I have spent the day lounging on the sofa drinking water to rehydrate. Have not been ill like that for years!

EJ2009 · 05/12/2016 21:42

hepkestrel i love it. I said to dh, essentially i'm being asked if i have unprotected sex. I wouldnt ask anyone but apparently if you ate married, in your 30's and childless its fair game to ask.

I've been directly asked a few times. I guess my colleagues and friends have known i've been desperate for a baby for years.

ScottishLady7 · 05/12/2016 23:04

Hi all,

Sorry for the radio silence- been busy trying to make a baby and fell off the thread but I'll try and catch up!

EJ I tend to answer honestly, e.g. "We'd love to have a family. When it happens, it happens!". I find this method of fielding questions works for me as I don't think people are asking to be rude (although they could do with maybe thinking about it a bit before asking) and I wouldn't want to make them feel uncomfortable.

Everyone is different though and if I genuinely felt people were being intrusive I would love to have the balls to give a response á la Hep above! Grin

HepKestrel · 06/12/2016 03:09

pug Flowers for AF and Flowers for the d&v bug!
hope you feel better soon.

Londonjam · 06/12/2016 07:26

Pug ARGH so sorry double whammy!!! Lots of CakeChocolate for you.

Music HFSTABIY!!!! (Holy fucking shit there's a baby inside you) congratulations!!!!!! Was this cycle 4?

Yay for Tuesdays! Right, now all of you get upduffed next cycle right? Go on... hop to it... yes... you as well... LSFX

Musicgrrl · 06/12/2016 08:08

Thanks guys! Smile Cycle 5 and six months of trying. This is 12dpo but my LP is generally only 8 days. I think it's a strong line because I used a FRER. I did two things differently this cycle so wondering whether one of them helped - Vit b complex for LP lengthening and preseed!

I can't really pinpoint any symptoms other than jawline acne and feeling unusually hot in the night. I am trying not to get too excited as I know it's early days but don't think I will be very productive at work today!

harrietm87 · 06/12/2016 08:47

Yayayayay music!!!!! Congrats!

My AF finally came! 5 days late. I'm so relieved!! I think it must have been the vitamin b so my luteal phase seems to have gone from 10-11 to 15-16 days?! Should I keep taking it? Or only for part of the month?
