temp high again today not sure whether its because I still feel unwell or what is happening so hopefully this bug hasn't ruined my charting or whether its just me being super hot!!

Have day to self to go back to bed as DS1 at a football day and DS2 in nursery all day!! Feeling sick and not myself so taking it easy..

hope everyone else is good...will catch up more later xx

Morning all!
Yep that was a crap programme on c4 last night- i managed about 10 minutes- but kept having to switch over when roger mcgough started his "poetry"!

Mum03- sorry to hear DP is having second thoughts. I think it is natural for men to worry about work/money/family etc... esp when you are trying to add another member. Thats been my problem for the last 4 yrs trying to get my DP to have another!

Anyway, had another high temp this morning- so lay in bed and wondered whether to do my lonely first response or not. Felt very worried about it all, and almost didnt do the test. But I did, and it was BFP!!!!!
Still in shock! Very excited, but also starting to feel a bit- oh no!! DP very happy and we lay in bed after i told him just giggling!

Lots of love, I fully intend to stay on this thread for a bit longer, cos it is VERY early days.
xx

weepootleflump - your temps are really high...39.9...wooohooo your steaming...
Even if they are really 36.9, thats look pretty damn good. why the bad mood today?

Mum03- sorry you DP has changed his mind. I can remember that we had times where DH felt he was not ready and I wanted to try and then it was the other was round. It took a couple of years to both want to conceive at the same time. But if your fella is anything like mine he gets more stubborn about it if I mention it more.

minxi - sorry to hear you are all up well.. Sure you will feel better soon.

londonlottie - hope you are well and don't work too hard!

Sorry.. I never check the grammar before sending... Bad person!!

MrsMcJnr · 16/02/2007 10:58

Morning all! wasn?t that Miracles in the Womb programme amazing viewing but kind of scary at the same time?! DH and I fell out as he refused to watch it and I got upset about his lack of interest silly I know. Only liked the pics though, not the weird poetry.

Hey Greedy did you watch it? There was an awful lot of stuff going on at the stage we?re at wasn?t there? Lottie will be back from her stint in Spain by the time I get there but even still, it would have been a few hours away. I will miss Chooster when I go! How horrible for you re the patient ? what a creep!

Honeyapple ? congratulations hon!!! I am so delighted for you and being very selfish but can?t wait to have you on the October thread with me and Greedy. Well done!!!!! Take good care of yourself now ? what do you calculate your EDD to be? I can?t wait to start to love being pregnant, I just want to feel pregnant at the mo . They don?t offer a 20 week scan here, just a 12 or 14 week. I think I?ll pay for a 20 week too just to check all the bits are there etc

OMG I?ve just heard that my boss has resigned! I?ve only been here 12 weeks! Looks like I am going to have to hang onto my news as long as possible ? don?t know what will happen, obviously they don?t know we are planning to move to Spain at the end of the year either ? isn?t fate funny? A year ago I would have given anything to be a partner in a law firm like this and now I don?t know if I want it! Watch this space!

Hello Fettle howz it going hon? Sorry you feel terrible, I know exactly what you mean about retreating in, I?ve been doing that a lot in RL and expressing myself on here instead.

Mum03 ? that?s a really tricky situation, poor you, I hope you can change his mind. Feeling for you hon.

Seaside ? as I said above, I thought it was a bit freaky too, had a few odd dreams as a result. Was very interesting though. We have lots of fraternal twins in my family and I am really interested in it. I have friends who have triplets created just the way that lady had hers last night, it?s fascinating!

Lottie ? the poems were creepy I agree!

Rahrah ? sorry it was negative hon but your dinner sounded yummy! Hope is a great thing you know, where would we be without it? I always thought (cos the Ovusoft site told me so) that chances of BFP on 10dpo were only 35% that?s why it?s better to wait until 12dpo when it goes up to 50 odd?

Well done Minxi ? it?s a labour of love isn?t it?

seaside72 · 16/02/2007 11:39

Congrats honeyapple!! - amazing news- I hope all this success rubs off! - and well done for holding out on the testing until 13DPO I am sure the CB fairy will be happy

Mum03 - so sorry about your DH having 2nd thoughts about TTC - do you think he is trying to relieve the pressure and disappointment by saying he doesn't want it now? (typical Men Are From Mars behaviour?) If you had gotten a BFP this month do you think he would have been unsure about it?

Hope everyone else is doing OK - My DH asked me suspiciously why I was happy this morning!!! I asked him if that meant I was a right miserable cow the rest of the time!! I said I have had a nice week, found new tenant for one of our properties (so willl have a bit more £ again - phew), my TCOYF book arrived from amazon this morning, and also its that week in the month when there is still hope - no AF signs yet so even tho unlikely, BFP could happen! False hope as always I am sure

MrsMcJnr - That prog was fascinating as far as the facts they gave - I never knew that multiple births could be created in so many diff ways! It must have been reallly interesting for you at the stage you are at too.
The real 4D scans were amazing - but the CGI bits were a bit weird and combined with the poetry too

I though the best fact was that girls kick more than boys

honeyapple · 16/02/2007 12:02

I saw one bit that said if you are left handed you may have had a twin in utero- but it died early on- as identical twins are one right handed and one left handed- kind of mirror image. My DS has twin friends and they are like this- even have a mirror image birth mark! Weird heh.

Thanks everyone for the congratuations! Not sunk in yet. DP wants me to get another test to make sure- but i told him you cant get a false positive. Anyway, might pop out later and get another one to do tommorrow am!

mum03 · 16/02/2007 12:27

It takes ages for men to take on board what pregnacy is all about, my dh seemed excited to start with with our first pg, but then was just kind of "whats all the fuss about?" later, it is just such a different experience for them, they do not have the changes hormonally and physically going on, so honey - I can understand your dp wanting another test, why don't you splash out on a digital one where it says the word pregnant?! Although I am not sure if they are as sensitive as the first response tests or not???

My dh will probrably change his mind in a week or so about trying again. When he wants some 'action', he will have to be the one deciding whether to use protection or not, and I am sure he will choose not to. Hence why I am still temping. I asked him outright if he does not want any more children, and his answer was "well does it mean that if we don't now, we won't ever?" I know he wants another child really, he is just worried about what would happen if we were both out of work for a while - where would we get the money for the mortgage and food etc.... He wants to quit his current job and try getting temporary jobs for a while while he re-trains, but this would leave us vunerable if I was pg and he could not get a job. If I was not pg, then I could easily get work if needed, even if it was not locally. This is turning into an essay again, and I do not want to take Honey's special day away from her, so do not worry about me, I suspect in a weeks time, dh will change his mind again and we will be back to ttc!

Oh and congrats again honey - I am still so excited for you.

Can I ask a question?

We are not planning ttc til Summer but have been taking my temps to see that I am ovulating ok and when. However I am about to ovulate around now and have got bloody tonsillitis. My temp was so high this morning that it took a few goes for it to register and I havent slept well. I am gutted!! My first month temping and I was so excited to see the change. My temp yesterday was 36.36 and today it was 37.07. I suppose what I'm asking is have I got to put this month down as a bad month and disregard my readings or can it be salvaged?

TIA XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX hope you are all well!

MrsMcJnr · 16/02/2007 14:37

Lottie ? I know what you mean about the freaky bits, I didn?t like seeing that needle going through her abdomen to laser the arteries either! Re the termination point, that is something that is weighing very heavily on my mind at the moment too. I am very much looking forward to the point where I get past the stage that I was at but still have quite a way to go. I know that at the time, I looked at every angle of my life and realy thought long and hard about the future of the baby and of me and of my relationship at the time and I do believe I made a decision based on good judgement but now that I yearn for this baby so much, and track every second of her development, I cannot help but mourn for the child I so callously disgarded. I suspect that plays a big part in my fear of losing this one, the thought that maybe I just don?t deserve the chance. Heavy for a Friday afternoon, sorry!

Seaside yes, I liked the kicking point too. I also thought the theory on left handed people being potentially part of a set of twins was interesting. Lots of lefties in my family, I should have been but my Mum changed my hand when I was little. What they didn?t say, and my friends with the triplets told me this, is that identical twins can be hereditary down the male line as that there may be a gene in the sperm that makes the egg split!

That was amazing what you said about the twins? birth mark Honeyapple!

Ammy ? being ill can distort your temps I?m afraid, keep at it though and you?ll see a pattern overall.

Lottie ? the reason I went for a medical termination rather than I surgical at the time was because I felt it would be easier to deal with if I saw all that was there and really, there was very, very little and for a long time, that made me feel better, I?d tell myself that it was little more than a tiny collection of cells and just a promise of a baby, not a real one. I do feel a bit differently now I have to say but being selfish, if I?d kept that child, my life would have been so different, I would never have met DH, I would be with someone that I didn?t love enough. Hindsight is a powerful thing, a bit like knowledge, I believe I can still live with my decision though.

honeyapple · 16/02/2007 15:28

Afternoon!
Just got back from taking DC to the cinema- saw Charlotte's Web- and I cried nearly all the way through! Tried desperately to blow my nose and mop my face without being noticed! Probably all the emotions of this morning... but goodness me it WAS a sad film!
Is the book as sad? I can't remember.

It's ok to be upset about things that happened in the past, but we cannot blame ourselves for making the decisions that we did. I would not have the children I have today if i did not have the termination i did when i was younger. I would not have met my DP if I had not had my DS when I did, and I wouldnt be PG now with this baby if the MAP had worked when I fell PG with DD after only 1 month of dating DP. All actions have negative and positive effects.

ammylovesolivia · 16/02/2007 15:31

Thank you guys! will stick with it, just a bit cross that it's happened at that 'key' time. If the hike in temps is a sign of ovulation, I suppose they may drop a bit but stay above the cover line and if there is no hike they may go back below coverline now I'm getting temp down with antibiotics and painkillers. Is this right? So tomorrows temp should really show what has happened.
