Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Hello mooooose you are my cycle 11 inspiration! Smile glad it's all going well. Do you have lots of exciting symptoms?

jellyella · 06/11/2016 08:46

Hi everyone, I've been off the thread for a few weeks to try and focus on 'other' life stuff.

But, I'm just coming to the end of my TWW and can't work out what's going on... This cycle I had an HSG test on cd7, had positive OPK within a few days of the HSG, and DTD twice that day and the next day. I got a very faint BFP on a FRER test on Friday (cd21) with morning wee, but BFNs yesterday and today (again with a FRER and first thing).

I'm thinking it was either a false positive on Fri (my DH and I both saw it, but I didn't take a photo that properly showed it), or could it be a chemical pregnancy?? I had some cramps on my left side on Fri and Sat - not really painful, just pulling a bit. Flowers for any thoughts...

Mooseville · 06/11/2016 08:48

I've got everything crossed for you jem (and everyone else!)

Luckily I've been pretty symptom free, bit queasy at times, sore boobs and just tired ALL the time. But on the whole, ok! (Which brings another whole lot of worrying as how can you be sure you're pregnant with no symptoms!!!) lol

Enjoy DTD while you can! DP is so panicked about hurting me or the baby, that there's none of that anymore either!!! Confused

Musicgrrl · 06/11/2016 09:20

Mrs I wouldn't necessarily read anything into a BFN at 12dpo. Chart still looking good. Just wait and see!

Thanks Alexia! Had a lovely evening in the end. Hope others did too! Any OPK progress?

Gee I feel like I'm stalking you - was searching for LP stuff on MN and found one of your old posts! Would be really interested to hear more about your journey. Is your LP always short? How long was it until NHS started your tests and have you found any useful info along the way? Sorry for all the questions!

jelly I'm afraid I can't offer much advice. Did the line come up within the test window for the faint line you got? When is AF due? I guess all you can do is keep testing (I'd only bother with FMU) and waiting. I'm sorry, it must be agony Confused

sk1pper · 06/11/2016 09:36

Moose - did you say you did anything differently on cycle 11?

jellyella · 06/11/2016 10:45

Hi music, yes - get a test line ok and don't think it was an evap line but can't be sure. AF due tomorrow so hopefully will become clearer...

Has anyone here had a very-short chemical pregnancy before?

Mooseville · 06/11/2016 12:15

Not really skipper

I had positive OPK on Sat/Sun and it was still high on Mon and we DTD Sun and Mon (tried Sat but DP couldn't finish) and that was it! No extra vitamins etc other than pregnacare.
Our main issue had been DP finishing under pressure though, so I think that was the only time we'd managed twice over the crucial period!
I honestly think the whole process was down to luck rather than anything i managed to do!

Starmist · 06/11/2016 12:38

Lovely to hear from you Moose

Did anyone see This Time Next Year? I cried at the one about the couple wanting a baby. They'd been through so much heartache & the man said they kept wondering "why us" & then he said they suddenly started thinking "why not us". I like that. Why the hell wont it happen. It will happen for us all. Let's try & keep positive through this tough process xx

AlexiaB · 06/11/2016 12:59

Music it's not as dark today. I used smu. I never saw a "darker than control line" but I'm pretty sure I was surging. I had very bad O pain and I had a teeny tiny bit of spotting once when I wiped. We dtd Friday and Saturday morning but haven't been able to dtd since. Next opportunity will be this evening. My main goal though is to actually ovulate, anything more is a bonus. Chart dipped today so I'll see what happens tomorrow morning. I'm prepared though for this all to have been a false alarm and my body just screwing me over once again

Starmist I didn't see it but I might try and find it on catch up. Great PMAStar

Hi Moose glad all is going well.

Mouse did you sleep better last night? How's the bleeding?

HepKestrel · 06/11/2016 14:02

Hello moose !

Still waiting for AF, and still lurking. No news.

Lsfx all.

MouseLove · 06/11/2016 14:26

Slept a tad better Alexia, not completely through but a little better. Temps seem to be ok too.

AF was light yesterday and heavier today. Probably medium flow today. Not much cramping which is a bonus. Smile

geeup · 06/11/2016 17:28

Hi hi
Alexia - Im not really temping this cycle although I do think clomid makes me hotter when I'm taking it. But other than that nothing else to report. Read a thing yesterday from a girl on a thread who got her bfp on her 2nd clomid round so praying desperately that's me!
Music - yes I have a short ish luteal phase and have gone through differing levels of worrying about it. I average 12 days but 1 out of 4 is 10 days only and I sometimes spot 3 days before I start properly. I take vitamin b complex from my positive opk until AF and that may have helped (but may not have!). I tried acupuncture but that didn't do much in the 3 months I gave it.
Think my fertile week starts tomorrow/Tuesday so fancy knickers on and softcups at the ready!

kwick · 06/11/2016 20:51

Gosh you guys have been busy!!!

Yay mouse CD2 already!!!

Alexia I did the drugs thing - they "threw everything at me" (consultant's words) and I only got 2 eggs and there was no growth spurt or anything so au naturel it is Grin

Cowabunga music!!! That is annoying!!!

I would have lost my sanity without MN too... I really wish I had joined sooner and got better educated before I started TTC but well it is what it is and I am still in perfect time.

How tough jelly Flowers I have read that false positives are very rare so most likely a CP - cold comfort I know.

Love that star!!! Why not us?!

LondonJem · 06/11/2016 22:07

Why not us indeed starmist Halo

Fx for a good temp rise alexia hope you managed another DTD today

Hope your new cycle starts soon hep

How frustrating jelly hope you're alright

8 DPO today and got all the usual TWW stuff going on. Very emotional and low today, boobs a bit sore, windy, cloudy white cm - absolutely textbook for this point in my cycle. Does anyone else keep a cycle journal anywhere? I jot things down into Pink Pad and find it very helpful to refer back to. It's uncanny how similar symptoms are at the same point post ovulation each month. I'm nothing if not consistent! HmmEnvy

Musicgrrl · 06/11/2016 22:41

Jem have you had your test results back yet? Also would you recommend preseed and where do you buy it? I'm planning to change one thing we do each cycle and thought that sounded like a good one for this time around! Also, how many cycles were you before you first went to gp? FX for the end of your tww. I track CM each cycle but don't tend to note other symptoms - sounds like a good idea.

winging have you booked your gp appointment yet? Interested to know what they say about your short LP.

Gee thanks for the info. I have googled but can't find any consistent info on when to take the b complex. How did you decide to take it from O onwards? LSFX for fertile week!

Alexia sounds like same as me for how dark your OPKs go. Agree that just ovulating is a massive win for this cycle but LSFX for you too! Really interested to see your chart post O with Clomid.

kwik did they try you on lots of different drugs? It still surprises me how little doctors seem to know about fertility issues and how to treat them. You wouldn't think there could be that many variables!

YouOweMeATenner · 07/11/2016 07:23

AF has arrived Sad even though I could see it happening with my temperatures, I was still hopeful.

I'm considering not temping next cycle, I found it a bit stressful and all-consuming.

Stick me down for 5/12 hep please. Ugh that's so far away.

geeup · 07/11/2016 07:57

I'm 24/11 if you are still keeping a list hep.

kwick · 07/11/2016 08:03

So music I did a medicated IUI with merional - which is a hormone injection. Then I did IVF with growth hormone and 2 different types of hormones - all injected. I think it is because of my age.
Anyway back to the natural approach which has less impact on my body.

So sorry tenner Flowers

Happy Monday everyone - today is going to be a great day!

harrietm87 · 07/11/2016 08:09

Hi jellyella I've had a CP. AF due on the Friday, positive test. Started bleeding on the Monday. If I hadn't been ttc I probably would have thought AF was just a bit late. Cramps were worse than usual but not extreme. I comfort myself with the fact that they are apparently extremely common, and before invention of sensitive tests lots of women didn't even know they'd had them. I hadn't had any symptoms at all which may be telling.

LondonJem · 07/11/2016 08:31

Music I really recommend preseed. It's not cheap but it makes a big difference, we both really like using it. I went to see my GP at 6 months in because I had a really weird episode one morning when I woke up in severe abdominal pain. DH took me to hospital and I passed out, they put me on a drip, tested my blood, scanned me, did an ecg, and basically couldn't find anything wrong. I was extremely faint, couldn't stand up. My best mate is a gynaecologist and said she thinks it might have been a burst cyst. After it all subsided I went to my GP the following week to kind of say I'm TTC and wtf was that? She ordered day 2-5 cycle blood test which came normal. That was that. I then went back at 10 months TTC and said it's been a year, nothing is happening. She referred for 21 day blood and a scan. I get the blood test results tomorrow. Not thinking about it too much yet, I'm more worried about DH second SA results.

Really recommend the cycle journal - even if just a few short notes such as cm, lower back ache, emotional etc. It really helps build up a picture. And has helped prevent me getting my hopes up a few times when I start reading into symptoms - to see I've had them all before.

LondonJem · 07/11/2016 08:32

Sorry about AF tenner Flowers better luck next cycle.

MrsG280516 · 07/11/2016 10:34

Sorry about AF Tenner, my temperature has plummeted to the cover line this morning so I'm expecting AF very soon too. FX for next cycle Flowers

kavanaughkj · 07/11/2016 14:18

Heyup ladies. Coming in to ask for a new bus ticket for December 1st (if you're still keeping track, Hep?). AF came a day early this month (I think because I was out of Pregnacare Conception, which tends to make my cycles longer). Think I may also have a cyst on my left ovary as I have pain there when trying to DTD ... yayness. Going to sort out another doctor's visit to see if I can get the ball rolling on fertility treatment as this will now be cycle 12 without a sniff of a BFP. Spent the weekend with friends who all have kiddies now too - was lovely but did help remind me what I'm missing!

I know I've not been on much and I'm sorry - I think lately I've been just as preoccupied by the US election coming up (terrified of what will happen if DT gets in) as with efforts to TTC - though nothing really stops you fretting over every little symptom, does it? You always end up living your life in 2 week increments!! I never thought I'd still be trying to get pregnant this far on in the year - and now I'm worried I'll be 38 before it happens (birthday is in Jan).

I'm glad you're staying around, Moose - it's encouraging to all of those of us still trying. :)

AudreyBradshaw · 07/11/2016 14:37

Still shaking my pom-poms for all of yall! Popping in to say thinking of you all and sending positive cervix vibes all round! Flowers xxx
