Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Ahh sorry so many of you are out - I thought we were building up for an exciting weekend. Stay positive though, try and stay healthy for the new cycle.

Yeah the reviews on Amazon for stork aren't incredible. Also I am dubious about editorial articles, I do editorial stuff at work and we're always getting companies to fork out money for what is effectively a promotional article for their product.

I had a flashing face on my opk this morning. It means high fertility, but my normal OPK is blank...not even a faint line. I can't understand how I have high fertility when I'm cd10 and not even close to ovulation day. And I feel terrible because I pretty much told OH we ought DTD, which he complied with, but still afterwards I felt bad that there was no romance involved.

kwick · 05/11/2016 10:24

music what a fcuker! I suggest you go to GP and explain you hve been TTC for a year.

Real sorry mrs Flowers

geeup UK law is not my specialty but can you get hold of their mat policy? If not google statutory. I would say though if it is a job you want go for it then Murphy's Law will be instigated and you will get your BFP Grin

Yep jem I am on way to clinic now. Have time to drink more milk before I have it!!!

Binkybunny13 · 05/11/2016 11:05

Penguin hope you had an awesome time last night. Great news about your liver and kidneys though sorry about your progesterone result Flowers What's next with the hospital?

So sorry about AF music. I second Jem re: maybe looking at LP length- as much as anything because I think when we worry about things the stress can have a negative effect on TTC but doing something makes us more positive and relaxed? Jem your softcup plan sounds great and I am fingers crossed for your results this week

Mrsg whilst you're not out yet, I've found it's helpful if I focus on the next cycle after a BFN like you're doing as limboland is definitely the hardest time. If AF doesn't show then that's something else, but for now I'd recommend lots of Chocolate and Brew !

Geeup I'm in a similar position with job ATM- it's hard isn't it as you don't want to ask them about maternity but it's a big deal! Kwick is so right though- Murphy's law might be the way forwards!

Skipper is that the clearblue OPK trial thing? How strange that they are so different. Well done on DTD to cover though- but you mustn't let one "functional" session every now and then make you feel bad. This whole TTC thing does rather spoil the romance but I'm a firm believer in the 80-20 rule for pretty much everything- if 80% of the time you eat/ DTD/ exercise/ drink etc right then 20% of the time can be a bit sub-optimal! Maybe pull out your best sexy moves for next session?!

Kwick good luck!

I was going to post about the stork thing too- obviously might not work but £100 in the grand scheme of things doesn't seem too bad? I had no idea about the fertility show either- maybe I should put that in my diary for next year now!

I'm CD9 today and not sure what has happened to my DH- we DTD last night and this morning Hmm Haven't done that in about 3 years! Shame it's not my FW..am trying to work out what's happened to him to try and maximise on this next week!

Happy weekend all!

MrsG280516 · 05/11/2016 11:39

Thanks everyone, I remembered about the mucus plug like thingy that I lost after DTD around ovulation time so thinking that might have hindered us this month. Not feeling too disappointed Smile plenty of time left. December would be ideal for a few reasons, we have holidays booked early January and late May. We're still going to give November a go though as DH doesn't see the point in having to use protection for one month!

Anyone got any plans tonight? We're at a belated Halloween party at my parents house, DH and I are going as Shaggy and Velma Grin

LondonJem · 05/11/2016 12:14

Skipper know how you feel, we've had some of the most unsexy unhappy sex ever this year! Luckily most of the time we both really enjoy it but every now and then it's really forced SadBlush

Good luck kwick! Go follicles!

kwick · 05/11/2016 13:22

So had 2 follicles one at 8mm, other at 6mm... a bit below parr, feel like lurgy and forgetting to drink milk has not helped. Next scan tuesday.

Happy weekend everyone!

MouseLove · 05/11/2016 13:36

I'm sat here absolutely balling my eyes out. I meant serious body chugging balling my eyes out. I'm so happy. I think AF finally arrived.

I have a little belly ache and a little red on wiping. DH has gone out for his hair cut so I'm home alone grinning like a Cheshire Cat. I really hope it comes in full effect, I don't care, I need it. CD51 might just have turned into CD1. Please keep your FX for me. X Smile

MrsG280516 · 05/11/2016 14:38

Oh FX Mouse that's amazing news!!

WantingBaby1 · 05/11/2016 15:10

Gee highly likely that the 12 month fixed term contract will mean you are eligible to take the company maternity policy for the remainder of your 12m ftc. So if you get pregnant during the first month you might want to take maternity leave at month 8 and then you'd get 4 months. That's what my company policy is and I'm also on ftc. Apparently that's fairly standard for ftcs.

What are soft cups??

Musicgrrl · 05/11/2016 15:52

Thanks everyone. I'm pretty gutted but having to pull myself together today as I'm at my mums and doing stuff for bonfire night. DH thinks we should get another cycle of temps to show GP because the last one was so long we don't know whether my problem is a short LP or irregular LP. I do hate the idea of doing nothing though and am finding it increasingly hard to be surrounded by my pregnant friends!

Yay for AF mouse! You can crack on properly now Smile

AlexiaB · 05/11/2016 16:04

skipper I saw the Stork thing a while ago. It's definitely good in the sense that it bypasses the vagina (where most of the sperm die) and places the sperm right at the cervix. They should make it reusable for the price of it though! I will try it if I'm not pregnant again in 3-4 months.

I've used the dual clearblue opks and found them awful. Fmu doesn't work well for some people and they give endless days of highs for no reason. My advice would be to look at the blue lines and if the test line looks fairly dark, test again later that day. I wasted £60 on two boxes and would not recommend them at all. Hopefully they work better for you, and it's a bonus they're free. Cheapies are much better imo.

Music I'm so sorry FlowersChocolate I think it's worth getting your LP investigated. Progesterone is a good shout and also fertility drugs such as Clomid can lengthen your LP too.

You're not out until AF tenner but it's sadly looking ominous.

MrsG sorry about the BFN.

Well done on the job Gee. I say go for it :)

Sorry about your follies kwick. Start chugging the milk againGrin I could never do it Can't you take a drug to help them grow?

Mouse wahoooo!!! GrinGrinGrin So pleased for you!

Would you call this positive? Can't believe it's only cd11. Feels too good to be true!

Yay for AF mouse!

Fx for everyone waiting to test

I'm a raging ball of hormonal frustration today, going from fury to weepy.. I'd forgotten how annoying this was haha, the implant had kept me fairly steady on that front.

I'm hoping it's not a regular feature once my cycles settle down

MrsG280516 · 05/11/2016 16:27

It's very nearly there I think Alexia, maybe tonight or tomorrow?

Musicgrrl · 05/11/2016 16:50

Alexia Smile that's fantastic! How many cycles was it before you got your BFP the first time? Also your MIL sounds amazing!

kwik annoyingly the GP took my implant out in April so they know how long I've been trying otherwise I would absolutely exaggerate!

AlexiaB · 05/11/2016 17:27

Music thank you :) The mc was unlucky cycle 13. I'm on cycle 18 atm but we haven't hit the FW all 18 cycles, I've had at least 2 anovulatory cycles and had a CP cycle 4 which lasted a day. I wish I'd been charting, doing opks and on FF/Mumsnet from the very beginning. Those of you who are doing all this from the start should be proudStar

MrsG that's what I thought. I'll be testing again 6-7pm and 10-11pm.

Musicgrrl · 05/11/2016 17:27

gee what happened about your luteal phase in the end? Know you're taking Clomid but is that for ovulating?

Musicgrrl · 05/11/2016 17:29

alexia I don't know what I'd be doing if I didn't have mumsnet! I would have no-one to talk to about this as we haven't told anyone that we are ttc and I think I would be feeling very isolated and sad. As it is I feel so relieved that I have such a lovely support network here Smile

MrsG280516 · 05/11/2016 17:41

I'm glad I've been charting, I'm so analytical and logical, I love seeing the data there in front of me instead of guessing. Although I'll have to try not to get my hopes up again in future when my temp stays high. It's still looking promising but I don't think I've had a false negative, the FRER was snowy white.

AlexiaB · 05/11/2016 17:42

Music I feel the same, it's so nice isn't it :) So glad I found this thread and FF when I did! Hope you have a nice Bonfire night at your mums x

Starmist · 05/11/2016 18:08

Geeup check their policy but at the very least you'll be able to get all the statutory maternity pay. You can claim it direct from the government for the remaining amount after ends ftc ends, payroll should be able to give you a form & help you with that. At our place we pay in a lump sum any remaining maternity pay at the end of the ftc

MouseLove · 05/11/2016 19:34

Oh and Alexia seems I am crap at sleeping. Set my alarm for 5am. Woke at 2am and 4am. EnvyHmm I feel ok though as I think I just about got the 3 hrs in at 2am. Not that the higher temp was useful for predicting AF showed up. I'm still bleeding, it's very light but it's there. I'm actually excited to go to the loo!! Weird feeling. I've been so happy today. I hope this helps with my bloating too. A month's worth is never a good look!!

sk1pper · 05/11/2016 20:27

Binky - it's great you and DH are still enjoying DTD, even outside of fertile week. It can feel wasted for some, but DTD is a natural de-stresser so its always a positive thing. And you always hear these stories of couples who conceive and thought they'd missed the fertile window so you never know!

Mouse - congratulating someone on AF arriving is a rare occurance, but congratulations! I hope this is a positive sign that your body has finally worked out what its meant to be doing. I hope your next cycle is regular and worry free.

Alexia - the Stork isn't reusable?! WTF, well I wont be getting that then. I've got the clearblue opk that does a flashing smily face if you are high fertile and a solid smily face if you are peaking. I'd never buy this bit of kit usually, its very expensive - though who knows, maybe I'm ovulating much earlier than previously thought. Your opk is very nearly positive, if you tried one now I recon it would be as dark as the test line.

MrsG - you've got a good chart, ours are very similar in pattern except my pre ovulation temps are like the Rocky Mountains.

LondonJem · 05/11/2016 21:46

Alexia I think that could go one darker, but get thee on it!

Hurrah for day one mouse

Fx for follicle growth for Tuesday kwick enjoy your milk Brew

Music amen to that I'm soooooo grateful for this place

Am at mum and dads tonight for a big family gathering, bonfire BBQ fireworks etc. Mum hugged me earlier and asked me if I'm okay and tears came straight to my eyes. Couldn't help it. I think she knows what's going on. I'm tied between wanting to talk to her and wanting to avoid it..

Mooseville · 05/11/2016 22:33

Hi jem (waves)

Course I'm still here - not leaving until every last one of us has a BFP!

I'm just conscious of posting too much on here as I don't want to upset anyone by being smug and pregnant! Following you all though and keeping up to date, and wishing for good news on the thread!

10 weeks on Monday, hardest thing is managing to not tell anyone! It's a hard secret to keep! There's also constant knicker checking and the disbelief that anything is actually happening!

Now get shagging girls! LSFX!
