Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Aww EJ what phone do you have? Most phones these days let you download apps if you have mobile data/wifi. You can access Fertility Friend on a computer but I find the app much easier/better to use.

Jem I really want to take it but I've hardly had any bleeding today just crampsHmm I'm honestly confused. Oh and that was me with the porn, definitely worksBlush

I agree with the stress thing. It's good to keep stress low but I see loads of girls on FF driving themselves literally crazy during the tww and they still get upduffed.

If it's better time of the cycle to do it skipper then they will Definitely be used to it. I'm doing okay thanks, enjoying fertile week and just plodding on with it all really. It's the TWW I go mental and cry on the bus Grin

LondonJem · 27/10/2016 20:33

Hmmm maybe see if it comes on more tomorrow and assess alexia are you thinking it could not be AF?

The stress thing. My two pence is that it's personal! Using OPK tests for me is reassuring and makes me feel less stressed. I know I'm getting the surge and I'm timing sex right. My GP approved when I said I used them. For me personally temping is a step too far. I just couldn't start every day taking me temperature - it would just start the day having to think about TTC. I couldn't handle trying to work out fluctuations and most of all I don't think I could bear seeing it drop and knowing AF is coming. But that's just me - I know temping massively helps other people who have irregular cycles or just enjoy having a more scientific approach and more information.

The official line on stress is that when it's very bad and chronic it can stop you ovulating. It also affects sperm. So staying relaxed is good for lots of reasons - but if you are ovulating then I personally don't think it can stop you conceiving.

Nicky883 · 27/10/2016 20:50

I agree jem i undestand that if stress stops you ovulating then obviously it matters if not then i dont think it should . When i was doing accupuncture she did keep telling me to relax as my pulse was all over the place so i am pretty sure am stressed !
Its true however that many couples get pregnant after starting investigations .
If i remember correctly fishy is an example of that

Musicgrrl · 27/10/2016 21:05

Thank you all for your reassuring words and for sharing your experiences. I am feeling a lot better already - it's like I needed everything to be perfect this cycle and when my plan got disturbed it threw me right off. But now I'm in a place where I can see that having a rigid plan was probably not the best thing for my DH. I like plans, he doesn't.Gives me something to think on for next cycle!

Alexia - I can completely understand why you reacted the way you did to your DH in that same situation. I was on the verge of something similar!

Mrs love the creative thinking with the BJ action!

harrietm87 · 27/10/2016 23:08

Hi everyone just saying hi and placemarking and thinking of you all and wishing you luck! Nothing to add from me as still waiting till Jan. Feels interminable but getting closer!

sk1pper · 28/10/2016 07:09

Omg AF can fuck right off this month. Why so heavy and painful! Angry

Going to attempt work again today, but am looking forward to getting home and having a nice hot bath.

YouOweMeATenner · 28/10/2016 07:29

Congratulations kits delighted for you!

Did my temp this morning (1 hour earlier than normal because I woke to pee around 6 and knew I wouldn't get back to sleep) it seems to have fallen a good bit, so no CHs yet. Could this mean I haven't ovulated?

sk1pper · 28/10/2016 07:45

Think you've O'd cd14 based on CM, OPKs and temp rise. No CH because you have a lot of missing/ uncertain values.

YouOweMeATenner · 28/10/2016 07:48

Thanks sk1pper, it's my first time temping and I'm still getting the hang of it.

MouseLove · 28/10/2016 08:27

Added another dot to my seismic chart this morning. I'm sooooo close to throwing my thermometer down the loo. Grin

Ah well. CD43 AF Free. All signs of anything completely vanished. Blood result chat on Monday to see how messed up my body really is. Haha. Happy Friday!!

Musicgrrl · 28/10/2016 08:58

Tenner - agree what skipper said and also there is a thing called a fall back rise. Not had one before myself but think it's where your temp drops back down temporarily. Nothing to worry about although I know it's frustrating waiting for the cross hairs!

Notyetthere · 28/10/2016 09:02

Mouse - Don't throw your thermometer away! I have the same one going by the link that you posted a while ago. As others have pointed out, cycle after pill can be erratic. I didn't temp after pill but I opk'd with those ics to see what would happen purely out of curiosity. Maybe take a break from temping and try opk? Hope your blood test chat goes well. Hopefully everything is normal and your body is just taking a while to get into an understandable cycle.

MrsG280516 · 28/10/2016 09:42

Morning everyone.

Chart still looks good Tenner maybe if your temp goes up a little tomorrow you'll get the CHs?

My temp has jumped massively again this morning from 36.29 to 36.51. On day of ovulation it was 36.07?? Plus when my alarm went off to take my temperature I had really painful cramps, the type I only get on first day of AF. No bleeding though and only 4dpo so I have no idea why I'm cramping so much.

sk1pper · 28/10/2016 10:03

Mrs G - what kind of cramping? Is it to one side? Is it possible you've ovulated later than you thought or perhaps you're releasing an egg from the other side too.

Musicgrrl · 28/10/2016 10:09

Mrs i think it's quite common to get multiple temp jumps. Weird about the cramping though. Can you share your chart again? Love seeing post O charts!

MrsG280516 · 28/10/2016 10:11

Sk1pper I can't really pinpoint a side, it just felt like my whole uterus was cramping. Exactly like period pains, so strange. I'm obviously noticing it more but when I was on the pill I'd only get cramps the day before and first day of my "period".

MrsG280516 · 28/10/2016 10:12

Sure Music here it is

Looks good Mrs and good work on DTD yesterday too to cover all bases! I'm planning a weekend session if DH has recovered his strength by then...

MrsG280516 · 28/10/2016 10:26

Yeah fingers crossed if for some reason it was delayed ovulation then we have covered all bases! My sex drive has increased massively since coming off the pill so DH is loving it haha.

MouseLove · 28/10/2016 10:48

Thanks Notyetthere the blood tests were unfortunately nothing to do with my fertility (well I hope it's not related) and more to do with my pain in my joints, mobility and overall 90yr old body haha. Looking like arthritis or thyroid or both. Keeping positive.

LondonJem · 28/10/2016 13:42

Mrsg I'm definitely ovulating today and had distinctive period-like cramps this morning. Not at strong as AF but the same kind of thing.

LondonJem · 28/10/2016 13:44

Mouse thyroid is significant for fertility. The GP is testing my thyroid as part of my fertility tests. Don't fret though - if you have a thyroid problem you are finding out right at the start and it can be fixed.

harrietm87 · 28/10/2016 13:50

mouse I've had an underactive thyroid for years (diagnosed at 16 which is unusual!) and have allll the knowledge if you have any questions. It does affect fertility but can be treated easily. It's an autoimmune disease as is rheumatoid arthritis (also type 1 diabetes, coeliac disease and others) and they can be linked/run in families. Mostly diagnosable from simple blood tests. Let me know how you get on and good luck!

LondonJem · 28/10/2016 15:33

So that baby weekend. Turns out it's actually the 1st birthday party that weekend for one of them, so not only am going to have to go see their babies, but be surrounded by all their friends' babies!

Period is due a week before. Might have to be a boozy breakfast that morning. Dutch courage!
