Thread 20 TTC #1 - We. Want. Babies.

Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Tenner I've had mild cramps on and off for a week, nothing painful but just a period-y feeling I always get before AF. Not reading into it though.

I hope no one thinks I'm a binge drinker from my chart... I was on holiday ha! I don't usually drink every day.

Kitsandkids · 27/10/2016 12:12

I am now a week late. I've bought a test. I'm going to test.

YouOweMeATenner · 27/10/2016 12:21

Fx kits!

Kitsandkids · 27/10/2016 12:22

Do 2 lines ever appear straightaway then one disappears within the 3 minutes if you're not pregnant. Because I've got 2 lines, but it's not been 3 minutes yet.

Kitsandkids · 27/10/2016 12:23

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! Anyone there? Please?

Kitsandkids · 27/10/2016 12:24

I think it's been 3 minutes. 2 lines still there

Si1ver · 27/10/2016 12:25

No, if they're there they're staying. Congratulations Kits !!

MrsG280516 · 27/10/2016 12:25

I don't think it would even show up if it was negative Kits - congratulations!

Musicgrrl · 27/10/2016 12:30

Eek kits - did you say you'd been trying for 9 years?? How do you feel now? Two lines means preggers for sure!

MouseLove · 27/10/2016 12:40

Wahooooooo kits you're upduffed!!!! Yay!!!
Congratulations. GrinGrinGrin

Kitsandkids · 27/10/2016 12:41

Yes, 9 years. 9 years! But like I said, my husband has lived abroad for months at a time with work, plus he has a low sex drive, so a lot of that time it was impossible for me to get pregnant. But some months we managed once or twice a week but no pregnancy.

Do you know how many times I've had sex this month? Once!! So I really didn't get my hopes up in the run up to my period due date. But once I was about 3 days late I started to feel a glimmer of hope. But even then, I knew it was unlikely I was. Even as I was holding the test waiting for the lines I was thinking 'now don't convince yourself you can see something that isn't there. You know there's going to be one line.' Then fuck me, the second one appeared straight after the first!! I was totally in shock, my hands were shaking, I felt sick!

Then, after first coming back on MN, natch, I went to show my husband who's also a bit, 'are you sure?' We're now in a daze and can't really believe it!!

MrsG280516 · 27/10/2016 12:54

Awww that's so lovely. A long time coming for you! Goes to show that you don't really need to stress about DTD every day

kavanaughkj · 27/10/2016 13:20

awwww - congratulations kits! That's wonderful news, particularly after trying for so long. Enjoy it!

I think this is my first post on this new thread - life is hectic with new job and I barely have a moment to read or post these days. Still living in hope and am nearly halfway through the TWW of cycle 11 at the moment. It doesn't get much easier, though the spa day last week was a lovely relaxing moment that I needed. :)

Carrying on wishing and hoping, and trying not to symptom spot. It's not easy.

Nicky883 · 27/10/2016 13:47

Congratulations kits !!
Hello kava we have all decided that cycle 11 is a lucky one :p !! So lsfx for you !!

HepKestrel · 27/10/2016 13:48

Congratulation kits !!!!!!!

AlexiaB · 27/10/2016 13:54

Catching up on the thread. Thanks for the kind words yesterday you lovely lot❤️...

So about AF EJ and Gee FlowersFlowers

Binky how are you doing?

Jem although it will be tough I think you should see your friends. You might even enjoy it? Hope the FW is going well, LSFX cycle 11 is the one.

Music I actually haven't O'd since August 11th which is 3 cycles ago now. Since then I've had two anovulatory cycles 45 & 21 days (I accidentally wrote 22 days yesterday). So frustrating! How are you? Where are you at in your cycle?

skipper great food shop! That trial will be interesting, I think it you should let us know how it goesGrin How are you feeling today, has AF stayed away?

Hep any signs of AF? It sure is keeping you waitingHmm

Mouse lol sorry I had to laugh at what skipper said about your chart! Are you still sleeping badly? Keep going though, it'll all be worth it.

Silver gosh that sounds horrific, you poor thing! Hope you're feeling better soonFlowers Good to see you back.

EJ as Mouse said just take a screenshot on your phone, crop it and attach here with your message.

MrsG Yay for crosshairs! Your chart looks great.

Tenner hope your get your CHs tomorrow.

Congrats Kit and what a journey!!

Kav LSFX it's your month. Hope you're enjoying the new job.

My AF is quite light but I'm crampy and have the usual frequent BMs so it feels like proper AF/break through bleed. It's definitely more than spotting. I'm thinking of starting Clomid tomorrow on cd3. It's a cycle earlier than I wanted but it's clear I need help so I might as well try it. Yes?

HepKestrel · 27/10/2016 14:30

Alexia still no AF. I confess i am in boob-poking mode to test for any early signs..... so I will claim this as cd161 Sad

sk1pper · 27/10/2016 14:38

Alexia - Sorry to hear about your completely screwed up cycles Alexia, your body will find it's way eventually but I know it can't be easy. Try and stay strong okay, and its perfectly fine to vent on here - that's what we're all here for.

Si1ver - Good to hear from you! Bronchitis is absolutely horrible and I've had my fair share of UTI's, your immune system must be on a bit of al low - can't offer you much in advice except eat plenty of fruit and green veg to build your immunity back up. Your Doctor sounds like an absolute arse, pregnancy should be one of the first things they test you for if you tell them you're trying - at the end of the day you're only trying to make their job easier so no idea what her porblem was!

EJ - Alexia told me that you shouldn't look at the ups and downs, just the overall picture. If you post ovulation temps are over the baseline, you have nothing to worry about. But I think even then you can have a couple that dip below it.

Kits - congratulations, you bring hope to us all!

I'm out, AF showed up in spectacular fashion. Full on chronic cramping at about 1pm, did manage to get back to sleep this time though. Unforunately I've had to come home early from work not only because of waves of cramping but I've been so heavy an ultra absorbant tampon, an night-time towel, and two pairs of pants weren't enough. Going to have two blood tests tomorrow (my day 2 and the microbiology) and then my ultrasound is on Saturday morning, but I'm really worried about it considering how heavy I am. I hope the person doing it has a strong stomach.

MouseLove · 27/10/2016 14:52

Argh my colleague brought her baby into the office!!!!! I couldn't hide. Confused she is sooooo beautiful. Now I want to steal her... recon I could out run her. Lol. Wink

Notyetthere · 27/10/2016 15:36

Kit Congratulations! That is 2 BFPs this cycle from this thread. I believe there are a few more left to test so this number could increase.

Thanks Alexia.

Apparently after miscarriage: "Only now will your levels [hcg] drop to zero and a new cycle begin. You cannot expect a normal period any sooner than four weeks from this, and up to seven weeks could still be normal. Your total wait time from original miscarriage to first period can creep up to nine or ten weeks and still be normal."

my EPRC was on 16th sep, so it will be 6weeks tomorrow..... [drums nails on desk]
