I'm sat here absolutely balling my eyes out. I meant serious body chugging balling my eyes out. I'm so happy. I think AF finally arrived.

I have a little belly ache and a little red on wiping. DH has gone out for his hair cut so I'm home alone grinning like a Cheshire Cat. I really hope it comes in full effect, I don't care, I need it. CD51 might just have turned into CD1. Please keep your FX for me. X Smile

bassetmum · 05/11/2016 13:48

Yay!! Mouse so happy for you that you are out of limbo

OP posts:
Pyjamas81 · 05/11/2016 14:06

Hurrah Mouse!! I remember the relief when first AF arrived and I could just get on with things! Very happy for you Grin

Not much to report in PJ Land esp as am still not temping or OPKing. Am on CD11 and started dtd day before yesterday and we'll dtd again tonight before going out so we're not too distracted/tired later! I noticed CM day before yesterday which was interesting - no idea which kind as it's hard to tell the difference with me due to pathetic quantities!

WantingBaby1 · 05/11/2016 14:53

Huge relief for you Mouse! Mine was a while coming after being on the pill and it was such a relief after all the horror stories I'd heard of it taking 6+ months!

CD6 of 28 here, cycle 2. Feeling OK but a bit disheartened that DH is going to be away with work for much of my fertile week. Typical! I think he feels the pressure to DTD once I've ovulated, despite me not telling him when it actually occurs. I think he guesses it's half way through my cycle, which is pretty much is. Any tips?!

DTD yesterday, CD5, and will try every other day until DH goes away, and more when he gets back. FX!

Sorry about the babyboom Hells. I totally feel your pain.

Basset I'm praying my MIL won't ask me! She's been on at us for months to start trying as "30 is basically geriatric these days"!! I'm really hoping I'm up the duff by Xmas or that will be an awkward dinner conversation!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 05/11/2016 15:46

Yay, mouse!

My digital ov tests just arrived. Sent a pic to best friend (who sadly lives on other side of the world) and said 'just spent £30 on sticks to wee on. Have I gone mad?'. She replied: 'yes, barking! You've been trying for two months!' Blush

Pyjamas81 · 05/11/2016 18:43

Don't feel bad Lisa - I was OPKing and temping from the first cycle! Glad I did though, I I would t have a scooby what was going on. If the relaxed approach doesn't work this month, I'm pretty sure I'll be back on them next month. I am enjoying this break though Grin

Currently waiting for stupid football to be over so we can dtd and go out! How romantic...

Heatherbaby · 05/11/2016 21:32

Having a quick catch up

mouse very happy to read you have finally had ur af visit. One of the few visits you will be very grateful to receive. Will be brilliant for u to begin ttc with some some of marker on where u r with the cycle.

pjs good luck with the relaxed FW! Go swimmers!

wanting after dtd much more frequently than we usually do last cycle, I agree you do have that sneaking pressure and elephant in the room that you are dtd. It effects our DHs understandably. I gave my DH extra attention in the bedroom and made it more about him which actually made dtd really fun and I discovered much more about him. I'm excited for next cycle just to frequently dtd!

lisa i also began opks from my first cycle last month! I also researched absolutely everything to do with fertility and watched YouTube videos and documentaries like channel 4s the great sperm race (recommend it)...so don't worry! You're in great company.

Good luck ladies :) I'm on cycle day 3 now, AF started slowly but has been raging with a vengeance! But I'm actually happy because the timing would have been rubbish.

ymmv · 06/11/2016 00:11

I just popped by to see how it's going and yay AF for mouse Cake

Eva30 · 06/11/2016 10:56

Hey everyone
lisa I've opk'd from day 1 TTC and have been obsessed ever since!
pjs sounds like you're doing well at DTD every other day, what cd are you now? Do you think ov has happened yet or you trying not to think about it?
mouse I'm so happy for you!!! So I was spot on with cd50?!! Here's to a much more regular cycle this time around hopefully

I'm cd22, FF is saying 9dpo but I think I might be 7dpo. I had sore boobs the last 2 days but not nipples, just the side and under armpit, which I get every month before AF. I'm not testing until I've missed AF (and I'm really proud of myself for so far not even being tempted to!!)Smile

First time ttc - thread four
Pyjamas81 · 06/11/2016 11:25

Honestly have no clue whether have ov Eva - slight pain on right side yesterday and today, but who knows! Am on CD12 right now, so could well have ov'd by now. Dtd last night - now a nice break until tomorrow night! DH much happier as well Smile

Your temps are looking great! Fx for you! And well done for not testing yet!

MouseLove · 06/11/2016 11:54

Yes you were Eva!! I feel great. AF is here and not messing around. I've cleaned my whole house pretty much this morning. Hahaha. I feel so refreshed and like a massive weight has been lifted.

And my fertile week (if I have a nice cycle) is while we're in Rome. Wink So I'm really just going to enjoy the TTC for the rest of the year. I'm just so happy I'm not a dried up mess!!

Piehunter · 06/11/2016 12:31

mouse yay for AF!

pj's you sound much happier for not attempting every day marathons, that can only help reduce stress Smile

Eva sounding very chilled! Fx for you

Lisa I've been opk-ing from the start so we had an idea of when I ov'd, just as well as with 28-31 day cycles I ov on 18-21 which is later than I'd have guessed!

2dpo today, my poor boobs are killing me, they hurt so badly until AF arrives... Lucky I only wait 10 days!! Hopeful that we got enough dtd in this month, if this isn't the month then going to get some pre-seed for next month I think, need to restock opks anyway!

Pyjamas81 · 06/11/2016 16:00

Fingers crossed for you piehunter - hope the boobs recover quickly!

I'm a fan of pre-seed - have started using the syringe things that come with it. Thought it would be weird, but actually makes things quite pleasant!

Seahawk80 · 06/11/2016 16:35

Yay mouse! Must be such a relief!

Is anyone due to test around 15th? That's when my second scan is, feels like forever away and need someone to count down the days with. I'm so crap at being patient / waiting! I'm still having some spotting which makes me worry but I'm trying to stay calm, much harder when you can't have a glass of wine!

Eva30 · 06/11/2016 17:12

seahawk AF is due here on 15th so I'll test after that if she doesn't come. You're right it does seem ages away!!
pjs after my initial horror of opening the box and finding syringes I have become quite a fan now too! My temps have this horrible habit of staying quite high until 2 days before AF and then take a nose dive, so annoying
pie sounds like same boob thing as me, sometimes taking my bra off hurts!!
mouse that's great to hear, sounds like such relief. Brill timing for upcoming fertile week Wink

bassetmum · 06/11/2016 17:54

Hmmm interesting what are saying about pre seed. I've never been one for lubes. Does it not kill the moment slightly?

Well I am on cd9 and we managed to have Sunday morning dtd. It also means the start of every other day dtd (hopefully).

Mouse what a fab way to spend your fw. Rome is somewhere I would love to visit.

Temps are looking good eva.

Fx and baby dust for you pie.

Fx your time goes quickly seahawk. I can only imagine for long the first trimester must be after the length of the tww.

OP posts:
Pyjamas81 · 06/11/2016 18:07

I sort myself out with the lube syringe before DH gets upstairs, and we've always used lube anyway as I've always had issues!

Wishing you luck this FW Smile

Piehunter · 06/11/2016 19:16

We use lube regularly too (although try and avoid during fw as much as possible as it's not the best for sperm) so it's not really anything unusual for us, though the addition of an applicator might mean I'd sort that out before going to bed!

seahawk that would be my test day, AF due on the 14th. I'm so sorry you're having a stressful time!

TheCatsMother99 · 06/11/2016 19:25

Hi, hope you all don't mind me joining in??

TTC #1
Age 30
Cycle #1 (after being on cerazette for about 14 years - apart from one break of about 3 months a year ago)
CD 12

I'm TTC #1, was originally trying a year ago but after a couple of months had to put it all on hold and am still close to clueless although I've lurked a bit here to try to get up to speed with everything..

I've downloaded the Ovia app, bought myself some ovulation cheapies off the net (did one about an hour ago which was negative) and, like I'm sure we all are, am hoping to have some good news soon!

I was lucky and had AF a month or so after coming off the pill and have been using the ovia app since then, I'm now on cycle day 12 and according to the ovia app am apparently the beginning of the 6 most fertile days but I'm just a bit confused about when in my cycle I should be using an ovulation stick and so when I should be making sure I'm DTD?? Was origionally thinking to go about my normal life, if you know what I mean, but then make sure we definitely DTD every 2-3 days during the 6 days my ovia app says I'm more fertile. Honestly though, I'm kind of guessing what to do from bits I've seen here and there online so not sure if I've got it wrong.

Any help or tips you can throw my way would be appreciated. And sorry for asking stuff I'm sure you've seen a million times over on here.

Thanks Smile

MrsG280516 · 06/11/2016 19:49

Hi TheCatsMother Smile with the ovulation prediction kits (OPKs) you can do these any time from when AF finishes. They'll be most useful around CD10-20, depending on when you ovulate of course. Apps like Ovia will predict a date based on an "average cycle" but that might not be true for you. As the OPKs start to get darker, you might want to do more than one a day to make sure you don't miss a quick surge. Once you get a positive (as dark as or darker than the control line) then you can expect to ovulate 12-48 hours later.

In your FW, try to DTD at least every other day to give yourself the best chance of catching the egg. Once you ovulate the egg only survives for 12 hours so it's best to have sperm already waiting around to fertilise it. Good luck!

Seahawk80 · 06/11/2016 20:07

Thanks everyone. i hate wishing my life away but roll on 15th! Only 8 days to go eva and pie

TheCatsMother99 · 06/11/2016 20:11

Thanks mrsG , that's really helpful.

I know it can take a long time to get pregnant but I'd hate to think I'd started off completely wrong.

I'll keep testing with my cheapies every evening for the time being.

Good luck to everyone btw!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 06/11/2016 21:19

Just popping in to say welcome and hello to catsmother!

KirstyinNorway · 06/11/2016 21:43

Evening everyone -
Popping past to say hi, loads to catch up on so sorry if I miss someone.
Sorry you were feeling blue Hells, hope you're feeling a bit more positive now.
Excellent excellent news on AF mouse, so pleased for you :)
No tips for you re. DH pressure, wanting - I think my DH feels the same but I take it as a good sign that he wants a baby as much as me! We just chat about it and discussing how we feel usually helps alleviate some of it.
piehunter I've not tried pre seed, we use conceive plus, but we both really like it. Haven't used the syringe yet though, and haven't felt the need so far!
Great positive attitude Eva, keeping everything crossed for you!
Hello cat, I'll let the others advise you as I'm quite new to all this too, but you couldn't want a more lovely helpful bunch of ladies than on here, so keeping all crossed for you that you don't need to learn too much and you just get lucky on the first cycle!

Wondering if anyone has used the clear blue OPK with the smiley/blank face?

I got a +ve smiley face yesterday and I know it says to stop testing when you get your :-) but I tested again today and just got a O. I wonder if my surge was maybe only one day? I feel like I've blown it a bit this month, didn't get as much DTD in as I wanted to in FW with work commitments. If I take Saturday as the day I ov-d, we DTD on Thursday and Saturday, plus today (twice!!) just in case. I hope we've done enough, as my next FW, DH is away on a work trip for the WHOLE time I'll be most fertile. Trying not to put stress on myself...

Blah, long message, sorry.

Eva30 · 06/11/2016 22:02

Welcome catsmother!
kirsty yes I use the CB kit but when I get my +ve :) it freezes on the screen and won't let me test for two days, does yours not do that? I know pj's uses one, pjs does yours freeze?
The surge is really quick so wouldn't worry about that, sounds like you've covered ov thereSmile
