I have my fingers crossed for you Heather

I'm 8dpo today and really tired, getting quite a few spots too. Sat here eating leftover Halloween sweets as we had no trick or treaters at all yesterday ha.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 01/11/2016 15:41

AF is due tomorrow. I know I'm not pregnant, so just want it over and done with - which, of course, probably means it'll be late!

Blissfulignorance · 01/11/2016 16:01

Moonlight that picture is amazing I'm so so happy for you!

I've had about 6 hours sleep since yesterday morning so would like to die a little bit. Gearing up for another night shift due to ov on Thursday and will definitely not see DH til Wednesday night. KMN

Eva30 · 01/11/2016 21:02

lisa and basset I'm half way through Cycle 7 and it seems like I've been TTC forever. A friend announced her pregnancy around the time I stopped taking me pill and actually had her baby last week...

heather I'm only 2dpo and already symptom spotting, it's going to be a long two weeks

Seahawk80 · 02/11/2016 07:07

Congrats mojitos - such lovely news and a brilliant pic!

Seahawk80 · 02/11/2016 07:16

I'm taking myself in for a scan today as I've had spotting and some cramps for the last couple of days. Hopefully it's nothing but I'd rather get it checked and I can't shake the worry that I had an internal scan for fertility checks 2 weeks ago and they didn't see anything. If something was wrong I'd rather just know as soon as possible.

And there I was thinking the constant symptom spotting / second guessing would be over with a BFP!

MouseLove · 02/11/2016 07:31

Seahawk let us know how you get on. X

Morning. Had a terrible nights sleep so I've kinda been awake since 3.45am - today will be fun lol.

I've been having weird tummy discomfort late last night and this morning, I can't call it pain because it's not really painful. I went to the loo and after it still felt like my bladder was full but without needing the loo. Still having it now in my pelvic area, sometimes like random pokes too. Probably the start of AF pain maybe.

CD48 today 8DPO according to FF which I trust as much as a chocolate fire guard. Hmm

Seahawk80 · 02/11/2016 07:48

Thanks Mouse.

I found that once my cycles went a bit loopy the apps just couldn't cope. It's part of the reason I ditched everything and just went with DTD every other day! I carried on logging everything to have the data and I found clue to be the most accurate in terms of when AF was due. I know they long cycles are a killer. Hopefully a new one starts soon for you! I read that agnus castus taken until you ov can help to shorten cycles, I only tried it for one cycle but I did get a bfp!

HellsBellsK · 02/11/2016 09:08

Seahawk let us know how you get on, I'll be thinking of you today.

Just popping in as nothing really going on here, AF is here and she is horrible woke up with terrible cramping last night it was so bad and TMI very heavy.

Have the day off so going to get my hair done.

Lisa hope AF stays away for you!

Eva30 · 02/11/2016 09:09

seahawk hope everything goes ok, let us know

Heatherbaby · 02/11/2016 09:58

Morning everyone

I am so frustrated with this first ttc cycle! If the false bfp wasn't enough... so my cycles are very predictable almost to the hour. I never have a cycle over 31 days or shorter than 28, with the exception of one in the 24 months I've monitored it when I had an unexplained 35 day cycle.

So today I am one day late (day 32). Yesterday I felt like I had AF cramps and saw pinkish cm so thought AF would arrive any minute. But she hasn't. The cm is sort of an odd colour, it's not the usual pinkish, it's kind of a nice purple colour, really hard to describe lol, maybe a berry colour but very light and only upon wiping.

As I was one day late I did a FMU FRER this morning. It was a BFN but also I didn't actually need to pee in the morning so it was very dilute and I didn't pee for more than a few seconds... so confused and frustrated. I said to my DH what are the chances of my cycle messing up the first month I'm trying when I'm usually like clockwork!!! Grrrr need AF to put me out of my misery! The cramps have died down now, feel mainly normal!

bassetmum · 02/11/2016 10:19

Fx for you Seahawk.

Hells sorry af got you. Have a big glass of wine and a bar of chocolate. Sounds good having a pamper Smile.

Heather thats a bit strange but the more I read on mn I realise that the minute you decide to ttc mother nature decides to mess with your head. Did you consult dr google on the berry cm? Did you think you didn't pee enough on the frer maybe??

Seahawk80 · 02/11/2016 10:23

Hi Everyone - thanks for the messages. I'm pleased to say that it was all good. I'm 5 weeks and they can't yet see an embryo or hearbeat but that is normal, you can see the yolk sac and it's all as it should be. Such a relief. They told me to come back in 2 weeks to check the heartbeat. If any of you are south / SE London I really can't reccomend Kings enough.

Heather that happened to me first cycle. I'm not the most regular but Jan - mar were 3 clockwork 30 day cycles follows by 45d the first month we were ttc. I was testing like mad as I had a work trip to Thailand which is basically an incentive reward and very boozy. Funnily enough one of my colleagues had just found out she was pg and I was only he only person who suspected as she used a lot of he strategies that I had thought of to avoid drinking!

Seahawk80 · 02/11/2016 10:25

And Hels sorry about AF, mine sometimes wakes me in the night and it's even worse when you are TTC and really don't want it

KirstyinNorway · 02/11/2016 10:38

Great news Seahawk, I hope you can relax a bit more into it as time goes on - easier said than done but very pleased for you Smile

How frustrating Heather, lovely Mother Nature deciding to play against you as soon as you TTC Confused Maybe another FRER tomorrow morning just to be absolutely sure?

Eva you really deserve a good month this month, wishing you loads of luck. I really hope you'll soon be the one announcing to your friend!

No news with me, bored waiting for ov.

I'm CD6 and have had a shorter AF this month than I've ever had before! Literally just 3-4 days (usually bang on 7)! Did an OPK this morning, got nothing. It's probably way too early to test but I've never OPK-d before and consequently have no idea when I should expect ov. I plan to test every 2 days from now. DH and I are still just DTD-ing every second day just in case. So yeah. That's me.

MrsG280516 · 02/11/2016 10:43

I stared at around CD8 with OPKs this month Kirsty just one a day on an evening. Finally they got darker around CD15 so I did 2-3 per day until I got a blazing positive on CD17. Then after getting a negative on CD18 I stopped for this month. Will probably not start until around CD10 next cycle.

KirstyinNorway · 02/11/2016 10:44

P.s. This month's AF-related spots were HORRENDOUS... 5 large, angry bumps that never even formed a whitehead so were just painful and impossible for me to stop touching and messing with. Anyway, all but one are gone - delighted. Was really messing with my confidence for about 10 days!

KirstyinNorway · 02/11/2016 10:49

Ah thanks MrsG, that is useful to know. I'm interested to see when I get a positive (my only option was to buy digital so I won't get a 'colour range', I'll just get a yes/no)!

HellsBellsK · 02/11/2016 11:09

Heather I know what your saying. This was my first cycle. I have never been late in the past 2 years. I get my period around the same time 7-8am every 27 days.
This cycle I was 3 days late. I think our body's just go crazy.
Sure I was convinced I was pregnant with getting sick and feeling terrible.
Never felt like that other then a day after drinking 😂

Counting down the days till AF is over. Still deciding if I should get OPKs this cycle. Or wait till after christmas.

Thats great news seahawk so exciting!

Got baby bomed in the hairdressers here. My lovely hairdresser is off on maternity leave. I didn't know she was expecting. But the new girl told me she didn't either. She only found out at 4 months!
I am delighted for her though.

Heatherbaby · 02/11/2016 11:35

basset maybe I didn't pee on it enough or its just me clutching at straws now Smile did consult Dr Google and some women with BFPs have experienced similar problems. So it was zero help! How are you? What stage are you at at the moment?

seahawk so glad your scan was fine. That must be so much more nerve wracking than the 2ww! And AF is cruel, can't believe you had an odd 45 day cycle.

I think I stressed about it so much AF is scared to make a proper appearance!

hells heavy painful ones are the worst! I can only imagine I will hate it even more because of TTC! Do you take any painkillers during the heavy part, I find it helps.

kirsty your plan sounds like a good one, you should cover your window just by dtd every other day and that method worked for seahawk Smile so FX this is the month you conceive!

Think I'm going for the natural no opk, no monitoring method next time! Good luck everyone waiting for ov!

Heatherbaby · 02/11/2016 11:39

hells we must just be stressing out bodies and tricking them in to making us think we are pg! My DH said i have stressed myself in to effecting my usual cycle!

I am doing the opposite and staying away from monitoring of any kind. The lesson iv learnt is that you can't trust any symptoms and you should never ever test before af is due.

bassetmum · 02/11/2016 11:59

I am on cd 5 and looks like af is out of the building today. So just trying to work out when to start dtd every other day. You might be clutching at straws but you never know. I'm not going to poas. My reading reckons you are better off peeing into a pot/plastic cup and dip testing so that is the way I'll go next month maybe.

Seahawk80 · 02/11/2016 13:05

Thanks everyone! Going to treat myself to a non alcoholic beer tonight - exciting times!

Hels I was convinced I was nauseous a few months ago in the mornings. I think I just get hungry as soon as I get up and feel a bit nauseous.

Heatherbaby · 02/11/2016 13:33

I took another test at lunch time as AF was nowhere in sight. It was a BFN minutes later...red on wiping! Flipping heck you couldn't write this stuff!

Not feeling too down... me and DH are booking a trip to Amsterdam next weekend and I went to house of fraser to treat myself to a lovely candle from Rituals. Oh just as the lady was about to hand me my wrapped package from Rituals she stepped out with her nice neat little baby bump...ahhh lovely!

basset I hate peeing in a cup I feel weird collecting it and then pouring it away haha.

I am really really going to try my hardest to never test before I'm late ever again! The amount I spent on tests this month...grrr

MouseLove · 02/11/2016 14:14

Awwww so sorry Heather. I did think that stress might be messing with your cycles? At least you can re-focus now and aim for a BFP next cycle. FX for you. X

I've had light cramping this morning. Think AF is finally on her way.
