Hi tee, yes I'm on low dose aspirin but only when ttc. I stopped it last time when I got my bfp. I think there is conflicting ideas about whether aspirin in early pregnancy is good (I did a lot of research after my miscarriage). Some say good for recurrent, others say can interfere with implantation so not until after first trimester. I get stomach problems and indigestion so I think as little as possible for me.

Gone a bit mad on the dtd, dtd cd 9,10 twice on 11 and twice on 12! ( didn't plan it that way, just kinda happened). I had a positive opk cd 10 but I think I ovulated on cd 12 (yesterday).

MotherOfBeagles · 13/11/2016 10:39

Hi everyone!

tee that sounds exciting what stuff did you get? Also lucky with the nausea being not too bad!

Sending lucky vibes jem. Although that wait really sucks. You keeping busy and taking your mind of it?

footy i hate nights like that. Have you tried putting a pillow between your knees when on your side or behind your knees when on your back? Someone recommended it to me when I was struggling to sleep and it really helps.

nim I hate that there is so much conflicting advise! It's enough to drive you barmy! Although sounds like you've had plenty to keep you distracted Wink

I am now 7 dpo and really trying hard to keep my head. My boobs are absolutely bloody killing me. Now they are normally sore in run up to af but it's normally sore nipples. Atm they are swollen and feel like someone pumped them up to bursting point and my god it hurts. Last time they were like this I got my bfp. But we only dtd twice 5/4 days before ovulation so it's really unlikely. Also I'm taking so many meds that would be bad for pregnancy I'm scared that if I was they would stop it progressing!

Footy1 · 13/11/2016 16:44

Beagles, what meds are you on? Have U researched if they can interfere with things? I use to take naproxen and Gabapentin for my back and neck but had to knock it on the head as my the doctor said would interfere with conception. So now I'm to suffer the pain. Although having said that I've since found that the pain not on them is the same on them! lol
Fingers crossed that the boobs can b trusted!

Nim- sounds like u have been doing the conga! Good girl! Keep going for a day or so too just incase. Did u opk? Temp?

Hope you are ok Jem. I will be a few days behind you if AF arrives soon. My temp was still up at 36.83 this morning but have stopped the progesterone now so it should crash next few days hopefully!

Tee, I've seen loads of new shops that have maternity wear- gap, new look etc.. Never did when I was expecting. Hope nausea doesn't kick in for u? Hopefully u will feel better by Christmas to enjoy a good Christmas dinner.

MotherOfBeagles · 13/11/2016 17:56

Nothing prescribed luckily footy I'm on sinutab Max strength and ibuprofen for ongoing chest infection turned sinus infection. I missed a dose today because I ran out and my face nearly exploded lol so I can't really stop if I want to stay conscious. Do any of you regularly check your cervix? Don't want to go into tmi if not and gross you all out lol

Also I think the boobs are always tricksy little fuckers!

Hope your back and neck are doing ok now? You found ways to help ease them off now?

Londonjam · 13/11/2016 18:15

Good work nim keeping everything crossed you are quickly back on the grads list where you belong

Foot I'm doing okay lovely spent the afternoon with a good friend and laughed a lot. Fx for you this cycle!

Fx for you beagles all sounds promising! I don't really check my cervix but not much can gross me out so please feel free to share

Thissameearth · 13/11/2016 18:25

32
Cycle 1
Ttc #1
CD 26 - my cycle is about 33 days or longer.
Just using rough idea of ovulation i.e. 2 weeks after first day of last period and having sex every day for 4/5 days and otherwise every second day. I am appalled at how little I know about my own body and more generally about conception!

Footy1 · 14/11/2016 12:48

Hi thissameearth, I might need to shorten your name to earth. I forget names to easily. Welcome! Yes I get you it really isn't straight forward as you may have read on this thread. Great to join a thread as really is the best encouragement through different parts of cycles. Highs and lows. Fingers crossed you get a BFP soon. Any two week wait symptoms??

Jem,glad u had a good time with your friend. It's the only time I seem to go out and socialise is at beginning of cycle. Always worry about drinking in the second part.

Temp coming down so hurry up AF. Boobs still really hurt. Appt tomorrow, couldn't come sooner.

No I don't check my cervix Beagles. I tried it once and couldn't feel anything so not sure I did it right. Unless mine has disappeared Confused

Hope you are ok Nim, still thinking of you mimi& kate. Hoping you secretly fall preg in your time not trying.

MotherOfBeagles · 14/11/2016 19:17

earth conception is like some kind of crazy labyrinth of never ending lunacy thats completely illogical and makes no sense. oh with hormones thrown in! Lol i bought myself a couple of books, lighthearted ones to start with and it really me help get to grips. Also mumsnet for any question going!

Glad you had a lovely afternoon london how you doing now?

Ugh although wouldnt wish AF on anyone footy at least its a new start? Boobs hurting is hell!

Well my cervix has always been smooth - like the end of a thumb without a nail. But the last few days its had like a nodule on the side of the opening, obviously tiny but its enough to notice and not a bloody clue! its not like a spot its like those dryer balls you can get with smooth nodules on them to knock the creases out? lol sorry totally random i know! footy i couldnt find mine at first i had to try a few positions and (sorry tmi) kind of push down a bit like a keigel exercise! i am not 8dpo and my temps still high, boobs are still painful as holy hell. Trying to keep my head though as the odds are like next to none!

Jodders · 14/11/2016 21:25

Hi all, I have fallen a bit behind I'm afraid. Just wanted to say hello really!
Welcome to Earth and MOB! Blowing baby dust your way!
Footy surely this is your month and Nim you guys are DTD rockstars.
You know we haven't DTD now since August Blush Between the HG and tiredness I now have a very very active baba who kicks aggressively and my hubby is freaked out in case he felt him during proceedings. Oh and the pelvis and sciatica are just awful. In the final trimester now though.
Tee I hope nausea stays away!!!

Footy1 · 15/11/2016 06:41

Hey Jodders glad u are well. I can only imagine id be the same no deeds for 8 months lol. Would be nice to have a break Wink wow can't believe you are in the last stretch, how time has gone so fast. Good to hear from you.

So this morning I'm spotting - AF going to arrive in full flo by the afternoon I think. Terrible cramps and hot in the night.
Great timing for hosp appt this afternoon. At least the gynae can decide if to up the dose of clomid in time?

Beagles- interesting about the cervix, I do recall someone else talking about cevix but can't remember what's a good position or not? I remember when I had a smear the nurse said I had a tilted something so it was hard to to see things up thereBlush wondering if that's what delays conception for me? Maybe I need to do a handstand position for sex? Lol

Jem, hey I read yesterday about a lady who was told her prolactin levels were 850 /950 as it kept fluctuating and she had a BFP. They told her it was stress as all other results were normal. I dip in and out of the clomid thread and saw it thought I'd let u know. So hope u are not worrying about it.

Picked up a tip too-this lady read somewhere about cold feet /cold womanly bits and it can effect implantation. So the month she got her BFP she made sure she kept her feet warm all day. So I'm digging out the bed socks.. U never know. Quite a bit on Internet about it. I'm a sucker to try anything new Wink

Londonjam · 15/11/2016 08:17

Glad all is well jodders not long until you meet him/her now!

My uterus is tilted too footy high five. Sorry it sounds like AF is on her way - yes good timing for your appointment. A lady on another thread just got her BFP on clomid - on cycle 13 TTC!

Yes I've read the feet thing too - think it's to do with chinese medicine.

I spoke to my GP yesterday and she said she was pleased with both of our results so far. There shouldn't be anything stopping us conceiving. I still feel worried about DH s morphology but she said he has a high count so it's fine. Hmm.

Had a weird period this month. Two days of bleeding then stopped - nothing at all. No pains or cramps - which is really weird. Had some spotting yesterday / today. Bit annoyed if my periods are getting weird now Envy

Footy1 · 15/11/2016 15:07

Glad all ok Jem, yes think u have nothing to worry about.

Just had my appointment at hosp. They are only giving me another 2 months worth of clomid and have suggested the gp prescribes it. Something about only licensed to prescribe 6 cycles from hosp on Nhs.??!
Bottom line is.. Nothing more they can do and suggested private treatment (which we cannot afford) if still unsuccessful by next year.
He says nothing wrong just irregular cycles, which is delaying ovulation some months.

Positive note.. At least my feet are toasty with my double socks and uggs!

Londonjam · 15/11/2016 15:13

That's a bit frustrating footy but good news you are getting more clomid - and that nothing is wrong. You should fall naturally, with any luck.

MotherOfBeagles · 15/11/2016 19:05

Im really and totally losing the plot. have so many early pg signs but only 9dpo and its very unlikely due to the timing of dtd. and i had a slight temp dip this morning. and my cervix is low and hard. but part of me is screaming to test! wtaf is wrong with me? logically i know its like next to 0 chance i get a bfp. ugh.

sorry to hear you having pain with you back and pelvis jodder but at least on the home stretch now? thats exciting!

That is frustrating footy just got to stay as positive and as relaxed as you can i spose? really crappy that can only do 6 months! I was having this discussion in work today, we were discussing fertility testing and treatments, its weird how many things are restricted - you think theyd do everything physically possible? but then i suppose there is a budget! grr. also warm feet you say? thats weird lol never heard that one shall have to have a google!

mine was like that this/last month whatever you class it as london only two days and was a breeze. i tried not to read too much into it, theres enough to worry about with the rest of the bloody cycle!

Londonjam · 16/11/2016 09:04

Morning girls Brew how are you?

Beagles maybe just test if you need to?

Tee4me · 16/11/2016 11:00

Morning Brew
Beagles I went to H&M and got some skinny jeans and a nice jumper... the lady who served me said (in a very loud voice) "Arh are you having a baby?!" I was so shocked! Had my little man with me (who obviously doesn't know yet). I gestured to her about DS being there, so she kind of asked in a hushed voice how far along I was... I felt so silly that I had to tell a porky about being like 10 weeks!! Blush
I second Jem, test if you have the urge?!
Footy I got a tonne of stuff from Gap with DS, I love their stuff. Also love ASOS for maternity wear. I'll restrain myself for now tho.
Hope the rest of you are OK! Jodders sounds like you have an active little man in there!!
When is the first Square One baby due? Parney in January I think??

Sickness feeling hanging around for me, but I have no problems coping with that. Grads, when did you all first notice a bump? I swear mine is popping out already, can't be right at 6.5 weeks? The weeks are dragging more than they ever have!! I can't wait to get into a safer zone, I still get cramps now and again Confused

Footy1 · 16/11/2016 11:43

Beagles sounds good, are u going to test?
When is AF due?

Tee, lovely to hear all good and you have been busy spending! I'd b the same and probably exaggerate how far along I was ha ha. Lucky u can handle the nausea, I'd be hugging the toilet :) sure your cramps are just stretching and things moving around.
Yes parney is first!! So exciting.
Want to see your bump in a couple of weeks Tee, and look forward to see your scan.

Jem, remind me again do U take any vitamins? I've been very slack!

So the square one day has arrived for me. CD1Star, not far behind u Jem. It's possibly we might ovulate at same time as I usually ovulate early. DH been warned to enjoy the break for a few days!
Jem, are u going for every other day or just in fertile week?? X

Mimilicious013 · 16/11/2016 12:44

Sorry foot about the witch FlowersWine.hope you do get another cycle with clomid and fx and toes crossed this is the month.

Oh tee you are shopping. I love that bit about being pregnant. Glad the nausea is manageable. let us hope it stays that way. Are you doing an early scan?

Hie jem.thinking of you and hopeyou get lucky soon. How are you?

Hie beagles and good luck.

Waves jod exciting to hear that you are almost there. Sorry about the pain you are feeling. Absolutely feel for your oh for not getting some haha.

Well done nim for lots of dtd . best of luck to you. I was on baby aspirin when I was pregnant with dd.l started taking it when ttc and continued until I gave birth.

Decided not to go back on the pill, so not preventing. Just bd when we feel like and it's so much nicer without the pressure but our chances of conceiving will be next to none . been lurking and rooting for you all. You guys are like family.

Hope all the grads are doing well. Some bump pics would be nice

Footy1 · 16/11/2016 12:59

Hey Mimi! I knew you wouldn't leave us. Yay!! You will so get upduffed not trying, it's bound to happen. Think that approach is the best.

Going to give this month everything!
Even took out the prosecco from fridge and put it in shed til Christmas! Desperate measuresWine

Footy1 · 16/11/2016 13:26

Oh and mimi..
Keep your feet nice and toasty! Another tip I picked up! Grin
Keep up the Brazil's too (if you make it as part of a daily snack you won't feel like you are trying)! XxWink

Londonjam · 16/11/2016 14:03

Oh tee that all sounds so fun. I'm so envious!

Sorry AF got you footy yes our cycles are close now Smile I take Boots conception vitamins - switched over from seven seas as boots have more variety including B6 which is good if your prolactin is up.

DTD - well DH is away this week so I've asked him to not abstain / keep swimmers fresh whilst he's away. We will start at the weekend every other day through next week, then aim for daily around ovulation.

Can't believe we are still going around this same sodding roundabout! My life is on loop!

Russkispy · 16/11/2016 15:03

Hello ladies, had my first midwife appointment today which went well. Such a lovely lady who knows my mother-in-law, the former midwife herself. Made various appointments, got some freebies and left in good spirits. Insomnia is still killing me. Nausea is very bad in the evenings. Each week cutting down on progesterone intake and hopefully that will make some difference. Keep knitting baby stuff in different colours. Booties, hats, cardigans all in matching sets are done. Now I'm knitting my very first blanket.
Haven't even looked at maternity wear yet. And do not believe I'm showing yet. Today s 9+2.
Rooting for all ladies to get their BFPs sooner rather than later! It will happen!

MotherOfBeagles · 16/11/2016 17:52

Haha that sounds like it was a close call tee. My cousin is pregnant with her second and she's showing so quick and so big this time compared to last time - I have heard that second can be that way (not that I'd know lol). Maybe it's that? Glad the nausea isn't too bad though that must be a blessing! As others said try not to worry about the cramps, there's a lot going on down there (ooo err).

Sorry that back to cd1 footy but lots of positive thoughts! When do you seem to ovulate?

Hi mimi glad to hear that feeling a bit better without the pressure. I know it's not very mumsnetty but sending happy thoughts and good luck your way!

london you and your dh deserve some kind of medal for dtd stamina! I'm in awe Wink. The loop will end soon, just try and distract yourself from that thought or you'll drive yourself insane. Happy thoughts and plenty to distract you.

russ glad to hear your midwife appt went well! Nice that it's someone you know.

Well I've managed to hold off from testing because I'm lazy lol. Need to use fmu and I seriously cba at 6am before walking dogs and getting sorted and going to work. So I'm holding out for the weekend. But my cervix is relatively low and I've had two days of low temps so I'm pretty sure the bitch - sorry witch is on her way now. But no cramps or anything and still loads of cm and no appetite at all! My body is stupid.

Tee4me · 16/11/2016 22:27

"My body is stupid" oh Beagles that did make me LOL. I've felt like that a lot in the last year!
Footy I meant to say about that theory of keeping extremities warm; my acupuncturist actually made a funny comment about making sure I had plenty of nice hot meals when ttc. I thought it was weird at the time! He asked if I generally feel the cold (which I do!!), so yes ladies, keep those tootsies toasty!
I had always said I would do an early scan, but I'm in 2 minds now. I'm 12 weeks on Christmas Eve, so might wait and see when my appointment is. If I booked a private scan for say end Nov, I'd have to tell in-laws then... I kind of like the idea of revealing it Christmas Day as we are hosting!

Footy1 · 17/11/2016 13:36

Beagles, I tend to ovulate quite early between 8-12. It seems to be extra early the months that I didn't ovulate before. Guess the egg is dying to escape.
Anything happening your end? Did u test?

Tee, I so hope my Toasty tootsies will work! If it does, than I'm going to set up a business selling baby making fluffy socks. This could be my future?!Grin
I think the Christmas announcement sounds great. Would u not be able to keep it secret even if u went for early scan? Don't think there's much need for early scan unless you are really worried or don't feel right. You haven't been bleeding have you? I'd be impatient and want to see early, so it would really just come down to cost. I never had early scans with both my boys. Oooh decisions..? Smile
