Hi all,

Been really busy at work but now got a week off
Kate, congratulations on the new job! Your old job cannot make you stay 6 months, unless they have a contact with your signature on it stating a notice period (usually a maximum of 3 months) they can only make you stay a WEEK for every completed year you have been with them. They are taking the Mickey.

Hopefully this link will work. m.acas.org.uk/index.aspx?articleid=4096

Footy. How's the dizziness, sounds like a viral infection to me. If Dh is more awake in the mornings go for regular morning dtd! Might be just what he needs to start his day!

Mimi, glad your doing the morning conga. Hope your feeling OK. Still on the clomid?

Tee, good luck and positive thoughts in the 2ww.

Jem, I'm glad you are feeling supported by your gp. My friend conceived naturally just add she was having her tests.

Jod, your bump is amazing. I don't have one yet, only 9 weeks. I've a bit of intermittent nausea, but not too bad, unpleasant but not incapacitating. Hope your sickness is settling down.

Mimilicious013 · 23/10/2016 15:31

Keeping busy at work makes time fly nim .glad to hear from you and that you are doing well.

Enjoy your outing jem.it's been a while since dh rather h and I have been out lol.we just only spend time together at home.

Tee4me · 23/10/2016 16:37

Nice to hear from you Nim and glad the sickness is relatively mild.
Jem my Doctor wrote to me to say the fertility unit rejected the referral until I underwent a smear test and a clamydia(?) swab. Little embarrassing when I tried booking the appointment that the receptionist announced "we don't do sexual health here!!" cheers for that love Angry Hope you had a nice day in Kew! DH and I were a stone's throw away in Kingston buying our Winter coats. Which pub did you end up in??
Sounds like you a H need a bit of couple time Mim, is it difficult for you to get time away from the kiddies? I think it's important to keep up regular date nights/days if you can. We are lucky with family support, hope you have people around who can help too x

LondonJem · 23/10/2016 17:36

How frustrating, how did you get those tests done then?
How funny you were so near Smile. We went to the greyhound for lunch. Did you get your coat?

Tee4me · 23/10/2016 20:55

I just reexplained myself and she just said, "oh 'probably' the nurse will do it when she does the smear", she was a bit useless, but I couldn't be bothered to poke any further, so just hoping the nurse is a bit more on the ball and can get that done for me.
Oh nice, hope you had a yummy lunch! I went to The Botanist for dinner a few weeks ago.
Yup we both got our coats! Very happy with mine, bargain in Zara Grin

Mimilicious013 · 24/10/2016 07:43

Morning ladies
How was your alone time foot with oh. Hope you enjoyed yourself. This better be the month fx.

tee my h has been so boring lately.our routine is the same over and over again. We wake up, work, sleep. During the weekends he occasionally goes to the farm or we are home watching TV. I miss the dating times before we were married.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Cd 9 and sexathon week.

Footy1 · 24/10/2016 13:25

Tee, I had sti tests with nurse at time of smear. Hopefully she will do yours. I need a new coat! Brrrr

Mimi, yes we too had got stuck in that routine. His work took over and stressed him out, which then pushed me to back of priorities. Gave him a knock on the head (not literally, although wanted to ;)) when I withdrew my efforts of wife duties and had a big row of how bad he can treat me at times. Made us closer, and so far the weekend break has been a God send. He's made loads of effort and has apologised.
He's been on top form with deeds! Been great Wink
Maybe arrange a weekend away with no kids? It's hard to arrange thou. Do U have much help from family?

Glad to hear all is going well with u Nim. Your bump will come soon.. Before u know it u will be blooming.

Jem, I use to live in London and enjoy days out like that. Now I prefer the country..
We're in Isle of Wight for our weekend getaway. Is lovely here!!

Cd13Star
Massive temp drop again (surprised I'm still alive)! 35.90 never been that low before
Hoping for a rise tomorrow.

LondonJem · 24/10/2016 14:14

The botanist looked lovely tee will have to try that next time. Didn't realise you were london too Smile

Mimi sounds like you need to plan a date night!

Lol at your low temp footy I wonder if we are colder now the temperature outside has dropped? Your weekend away sounds great. Love a bit of countryside.

I am day 11 and still no DTD - I think we are losing the will! Will try an OPK in a bit. Won't ovulate until Friday or Saturday though think we've got time

OP posts:
Footy1 · 24/10/2016 16:50

Something at the back of my mind is telling me that I'm not going to ovulate. Hmm I feel so unlucky with the last few cycles and typically this cycle is going well in terms of deeds.

So far we have dtd cd3,4,5,8,9,11,12,13.

Best effort yet, gutted if I don't ovulate! Usually ovulated by now on clomid. Really hoping it will be today after that big dip. Fingers crossed girls X

Footy1 · 24/10/2016 16:52

Jem- might work in your favour by not starting out too early. At least he won't burn out and he'll be gagging for itGrin I forgot the preseed last night and it wasn't the same, think I'm a preseed addict Blush

LondonJem · 24/10/2016 17:19

Wow you have been busy foot. Any sign on the OPK tests yet?

OP posts:
Tee4me · 24/10/2016 18:07

Footy really hope that big dip indicates imminent ovulation! FX after your superb efforts!
Jem I grew up in Ealing, but moved out towards Heathrow with the other half 10 years ago. Still just a short dash down the A316 to get to Richmond, which is probably my favourite part of London.
Mim definitely sounds like you are well overdue a weekend away and a bit of pampering, I hope that's a realistic possibility for you and have plenty of good support around you.

Went back to my Doctor this morning. She's so lovely, didn't want me having to wait for the smear and swab, so did that for me today too, even asked the receptionists to look after DS so I could relax. That's my tests all done now, but specialist won't accept me until DH has his SA too Blush I think I'm going to struggle on the front!!

LondonJem · 24/10/2016 20:40

Hurrah for swan and smear tee. Hope your DH doesn't take too much persuading for the SA.

Hi all,

Just back from a long weekend in Italy! With my parents.... so not as romantic as I might have wanted.

Notice not sorted as everyone is on half term. The two head teachers might have talked, but I haven't heard a word. My union seems on side saying I should have a max of one term's notice, so I'd be starting new job towards the end of Feb, which still seems an AGE away!!! Ready to start NOW!!!

Sounds like you all have been keeping busy in this autumn weather! Love the leaves changing... I'm 10 dpo cd 30, so maybe test day after tomorrow? Not feeling any symptoms other than sore boobs, but that has been the lp symptom for the past 4 cycles.

Going to stop ttc if no luck this month for a few months - don't want to start a new job with all this bother for everyone just to say 'well, I'm off in a few months.' So I might soon become more of a lingerer...

Footy1 · 24/10/2016 21:56

Jem, yes I had a positive opk the last 4 days!! Still waiting for the big egg to pop out. Had slight cramping tonight and sensitive boobs so really hoping my temp will rocket in the morning.

Kate, lucky u to be in Italy. Nice distraction for u from the 2ww. What would u do if u were upduffed now? Stay where u are?

Hope you persuade DH Tee, maybe u suggest u do it for him Winkif u are allowed to? My DH hasn't been asked for a test, they just did me.

Sorry if tmi..Can I just ask your opinion ladies?.. Does a woman having big O before he releases a bad idea? I really struggle to hold off. Worried this could be why it's not happened? I keep telling him not to worry about me but he won't listen. Confused

LondonJem · 24/10/2016 22:07

Your weekend sounds lovely kate. February does seem an age away! Can't get my head around the notice period for teachers, that's nuts.

Four days footy! Didn't realise it was that long. I hope it's tonight she makes her appearance. The orgasm thing - I wouldn't have thought it makes much difference. All the sperm getting up there in the right place.

OP posts:
physicskate · 24/10/2016 22:20

Footy - I definitely do not want to stay where I am and have accepted my new post formally. Just realised Feb is 4 months away!!! AHHHH!! That is NUTS. Not sure new job would look very unfavourably on me just walking away and not serving full notice... don't want to start out on a bad foot!

Have read somewhere that O right after ejaculation might help swimmers to find their way into the cervix and beyond. I am sure this is NOT a problem stopping you getting upduffed!!!

Tee4me · 24/10/2016 22:23

Well I've heard on the grapevine that having the big O before/with your OH is good for the swimmers! Whatever is secreted works in the same way as ewcm, making the environment down there all the more hospitable. Also I read somewhere that the involuntary contractions during orgasm will help push the sperm along in the right direction. Mother Nature is a clever bugger.

There are gender swaying theories that this favours boys for this very reason (if you take any notice of the whole 'boys need a head start' theory). I have to say, whilst I used to ponder over these theories, they are most likely just complete nonsense!

I say enjoy yourself Footy!

Jodders · 25/10/2016 12:01

That's interesting with the O theory! I'm too selfish to hold back lol maybe that's why I'm having another boy lol!

Footy1 · 25/10/2016 14:59

Thanks for the "o" advice ladies. Interesting stuff there. Will continue as usual and see what happens.

Had a temp increase today but temp was on the floor yesterday so anything would be a rise. I've had headache for 4 days also. Think hormones are playing havoc! Will see if temp confirms ov tomorrow. Got a feeling it hasn't happened yet.

Tee, how's your temp doing today? What was your last temp u took?

Tee4me · 25/10/2016 15:27

That's frustrating Footy, hope it's happened or soon to happen for you!
I stopped taking my temp now, Sunday was the last one which was post ov/above coverline range. Still feel crampy, so sure AF is making her way. These last few days are the worst, especially when the signs of AF are creeping in. I hate it. Just can't believe this is still not happening for me! Sad

Footy1 · 25/10/2016 16:48

Sorry tee, you feel AF is one its way, so unfair isn't it. Driving us crazy all this I'm sure. Wish it would just happen.

LondonJem · 25/10/2016 18:36

Hugs from me, totally feel your frustration. There are days where I can't quite believe it's almost November and we've been trying all year. It's heartbreaking. I really hope it not much longer for us FlowersFlowersFlowers

OP posts:
Tee4me · 25/10/2016 20:29

It's torture! Today I had a tiny bit of spotting, but I'm pretty sure that's from the smear yesterday (she warned me that there was a tiny bleed from a sore spot when she took the swab). I don't generally spot before AF, usually hits in full force quickly. Officially due Friday, but think it might be Thursday as I ovulated early again, LP is usually 15 days. Arrrggghh 2/3 days to get through!!

LondonJem · 26/10/2016 08:52

Distract yourself as much as poss tee this bit is the worst bit!

Hoping you've seen a good temp rise footy?
