Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Good luck to everyone!!! Flowers

I've been temping (orally) for the last 6 months and found it really helpful. You do have to do it the moment you open your eyes though. It stopped me crazily poas every month as I'd just look for temp drops to indicate I wasn't going to get my bfp. Each month my temps have followed a similar ish patterned but can be quite different so you need a few months worth to really start analysing.

I have to say that my bfp didn't really get darker yesterday and this morning my temp has fallen, not below cover line but if I hadn't had a bfp I'd assume af was on her way. Desperate for this to be a sticky one but have a horrible feeling it's not. I am starting to get more symptoms though - woken up to the whole house smelling of rubbish (apparently it doesn't it's just me) and starting to feel quite queezy. And my skin is awful. Crossing everything for this little June bean

PurpleHaze1 · 02/10/2016 07:28

Everything crossed for you tiggi. I've seen people recommend to stop temping after a BFP as it just worries people & I think temps start to go a bit crazy. Try not to worry

I'm another one who temps & find it really useful. I worried it'd make me obsess even more but it's had the opposite effect. I think because there's less second guessing. And like tiggi I POAS less as my temps tell me what I need to know.

Having said that, I've not been very consistent with when I take my temp this cycle as DD & the bloody dog have disturbed my sleep! Hmm I (think/hope) I can still see a ovulation rise on CD14 though. Hoping FF confirms it soon. You're not even supposed to open your eyes before taking the temp! I keep my thermometer right next to the bed so I just reach out, stick it in my mouth & wait until I get a reading.

I'm also a bit geeky and love looking at the graphs Grin

SoozC · 02/10/2016 07:34

Morning all! I've just temped and while I usually like it because I can confirm ov, today I'm confused as ff put me as oving on Thursday but I had a +opk on Friday. Thoughts, lovely ladies?

And writer, sorry to hear you've been baby bombed. Sad In my dream last night my 50-something boss announced her unplanned pregnancy, I remember being so sad and that was just a dream.

Yesterday I saw three magpies. Of course it's a sign. Smile

Mumrahhhh · 02/10/2016 07:55

Soooo, at 10dpo, I have a squinter! Early days I know, so feeling thankful that it's only cycle #2 and I've been lucky enough to conceive and fingers crossed it stays sticky Smile

PurpleHaze1 · 02/10/2016 08:19

Ooohhh mumrahh! Congratulations Grin

Sooz I can see why you're a bit confused. I suppose FF must get it wrong sometimes. You've done all you can now so fingers crossed you get your BFP

Thingymaboob · 02/10/2016 08:38

I'm 32, have been ttc for 6 month. Had a lletz in January and PID in July following a hysterosalpingogram to check for blocked tubes as previously had chlamydia for unspecified time! Was soooo worried about fertility. Luckily tubes clear!
Due on period today. 1 week ago had cramping and light bleeding for 2 days and my boobs were painful and I was convinced I was pregnant due to implantation bleed. Got BFP yesterday!

Mumrahhhh · 02/10/2016 09:02

Sooz, I got a positive opk on my ov day, my temp change confirmed the day on ff, but I was doing opk's too. I had no idea what my body was doing and turned out my ov was quite late in the cycle. Good luck x

CaptainWarbeck · 02/10/2016 09:15

How exciting mumrahhh I can see that squinty line too!

CD16 here and still waiting for a positive OPK, it's weird though, feel achy and back pain with weird stomach twinges which usually happens around ovulation time. Going to start temping to see if I get a rise. Definitely not vaginally though, no time for that kind of business at 5am! Oral thermometer all the way.

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 02/10/2016 09:28

Congratulations. Looks of BFPs already.

I'm out this month. Still negative OPKs and some seriously non fertile CM. For some reason I haven't ovulated. I think I'm going to step away from the bus as feeling really down about it. Although I'm so pleased for those getting their BFPs, I don't know if I can come with it any longer knowing my body has failed me.

MundayCakes85 · 02/10/2016 09:29

Congratulations mumrahh and thingymaboob! (love the name)
I stopped temping when AF was due after my BFP, otherwise I'd go crazier than I already am. Currently on crotch watch every time I go to the loo Blush

NappingRabbit · 02/10/2016 10:32

Congratulations mumrahhh and thingy!

DH and I didn't quite believe my faint BFP yesterday so spent the day saying 'if it turns out I am/you are pregnant...' I took another test this morning and the line is stronger so it feels a bit more real.

Good luck to all those waiting to test!

Alibaba2 · 02/10/2016 10:40

Positive, are you sure? What cd are you on and when do you normally ov? It's more likely that ov is delayed than not happening. I get creamy cm before ov and even sometimes on the day of ov. It doesn't mean you won't ov. Are you doing the IC opks? Are you getting a line at all?

Hang on in there.

RoseBud1987 · 02/10/2016 10:57

Hi all, have changed my name. Not because I'm suddenly feeling miserable as sin but because it's a mouthfull and I wasn't too fussed on it.

Ali I normally ovulate 2 weeks to the day after AF shows. I think that makes me cycle day #15? Got AF on the 17th (late at night though) so was expecting to see pos OPK yesterday. I though as AF arrived a bit later I'd see what this morning brought.

I had EWCM on Wednesday (CD12 and pains Thursday and Friday (CD13 & 14). If this had happened with #1 the I wouldn't have been so upset but I have been regular since March (cycle #1).

I don't know what an IC is. I just do internet cheapies. Oh wait, is that what an IC is? Lol

I'm so sorry to gate crash everyone's BFPs, just feeling ready to give up.

RoseBud1987 · 02/10/2016 10:59

Bloody hell, I didn't say I was Mrs Positive! Why isn't there an idiot emoji?

RoseBud1987 · 02/10/2016 11:05

Ali no line at all. Not even a slight line.

bairnsangs · 02/10/2016 11:09

Miss Positive - remember that (although massively frustrating and disappointing when TTC) it's totally normal to have an anovulatory cycle up to four times a year! It seems unlikely that they come consecutively so perhaps it just means you'll have an extra fertile cycle next time! Don't lose heart Flowers Or as Ali says it could just be that you're delayed this month - have you been stressed, poorly or travelling across time zones?

I hope you're ok Brew

bairnsangs · 02/10/2016 11:10

Massive congrats Mumrahhh and Thingy on the BFPs! Star

bairnsangs · 02/10/2016 11:14

Just saw the name change Rose sorry I didn't clock it first time.

RoseBud1987 · 02/10/2016 11:21

Bairn I know, and if someone else had posted what I posted I'd say the same. It's so hard when it's you though. I'm so angry. I'm always stressed so I think my body is used to it and haven't been anywhere or done anything differently.

We're away with family during my next FW so it's not going to happen next cycle either.

Also on a different and perhaps more optimistic note. I think I'm one cycle 6 not 7. March was cycle #1 and I had a MC in July which would have been cycle 4. So August would have been cycle 5 and September cycle 6.

I'll have a day away today and see how I'm feeling in the morning. Perhaps drown my sorrows in a bottle of wine.

RoseBud1987 · 02/10/2016 11:23

Bairn don't worry, you can call me anything.

bairnsangs · 02/10/2016 11:26

Aw Rose I get where you're you're coming from. I know it's easy to give reassurance and advice but it is a different kettle of fish when you're on the other side of it. Do what you need to do and take care of yourself Wine

Alibaba2 · 02/10/2016 11:37

Rose, are you sure you haven't already ov'd and missed the surge? Do you temp?

Dixiechick1991 · 02/10/2016 11:45

So I'm on CD14. Bought some ovulation kits from Amazon just to try and figure my body out as I've been on the pill since I was a teenager - got this today.
Does this mean I should be BD as much as possible right now?

The October Bus - hoping for lots of BFPs and Summer babies!!
RoseBud1987 · 02/10/2016 11:45

Ali didn't really understand temping or the importance of it but after listening to everyone on here it's starting to make sense. May try it for November's cycles. Don't see much point doing it for October's cycle as I won't be able to DTD (DTG) at the right times. May play around with it though. I did 3 tests a day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday so I think I would have caught it. My lines normally get darker but had no 2nd line whatsoever. We're going to reluctantly DTG tonight and just pray that something will happen. If this is what positive thinking gets you I think I'll go back to negative thoughts and mental torture.

Thanks Bairn hopefully tomorrow will be a better, brighter day and I can stop feeling sorry for myself.
