Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Good luck to everyone!!! Flowers

Congrats napping and tiggi !! Brilliant news.

Sorry to see you go sk1pper but can understand your reasoning and really hope you will get some answers and your BFP soon!

We are on our way home, had a lovely little break but I am feeling horrendous. I've had this cough/cold that I just can't shake for the past fortnight - I'm starting to wonder if maybe I have a chest infection an need some antibiotics. I also went swimming yesterday and my ears have been agony since. So I'll POAS today/tomorrow so I can get antibiotics without worrying about their effects if it is my month. I've also been really nauseous this weekend (so much so that I barely sniffed my prosecco!). 9dpo so maybe a little soon today.

purplebella · 01/10/2016 12:19

Congratulations tiggi, now you've got to buy a gorilla!

purplebella · 01/10/2016 12:35

I've just realised I've missed a whole 3pages!!

Good luck sk1pper, hope it all goes well

Congratulations to napping

misstiggiwinkle · 01/10/2016 12:39

Congratulations Napping! My fmu test this morning was no darker than the ones from last night. I should really hold off for a few days but realistically that's unlikely to happen. Just really praying it stays put. I had a bit of a temp drop this morning as well.

Skipper I'm sorry you are out. I do understand the feeling of needing to hide a bit though. Go eat chocolate & drink wine! Ironically I am one of those Sod's law people. Started fertility tests this month, in fact haven't had the results back yet! Had an ultrasound on Tuesday (internal) and they found a cyst on my ovary but I've had a few of those in the past. They didn't see the little bean though...Hmm. I hope just way way to early.

LittleEm1989 · 01/10/2016 13:57

Hello ladies, I also have been lurking on this thread. Hope you don't mind me joining in?

My stats are:
Age 27
DH: 29
TTC #1
Cycle 2
Cycle length: a very regular 28 days
AF due 4th Oct

I don't know whether I'm out for this month, I've had very sore boobs all up the sides, cramping and most unusually for me, waves of very intense nausea. I never ever feel sick so that's odd.

Last night I noticed a very faint pinkish tinge in my CM when I went to the loo. Now it's a bit darker but still pale pink. Can't help worrying it's AF showing her face but she's 4 days early and I'm always very regular.

Just can't face the disappointment of a BFN and it's only cycle 2!

Congrats to those with their BFPs! :)

Xx

Welcome LittleEm Smile Could be implantation bleeding?

Sorry to hear your taking a break from this board sk1pper but I understand your reasons. Hope all goes well with the tests

MotherofUnicorns · 01/10/2016 15:41

Writerwannabe83 · 01/10/2016 16:24

I've been baby bombed twice today Sad

The second is someone I have known for ages who has two children and she and here DH were done with babies, but now she's 10 weeks pregnant with a "happy accident" Envy

So sorry WriterFlowers
Some people have all the luck, I do feel like one of the lucky ones though cos I have 2dd. I know someone who is desperate for 1 and I feel so guilty for wanting another when she's really struggling.

sugarplumfairy2010 · 01/10/2016 18:16

Im so impatient i caved in a used a frer 10 dpo and got a bfn. Shouldn't have tested this early as im still not sure if to count myself out this month or not.x

FlashingLights · 01/10/2016 18:26

sugarplum I used an ic today at 9dpo. Bfn as expected! Hopefully we can both test in a few days and get a different result!

sugarplumfairy2010 · 01/10/2016 18:32

Yes FLASHING lets hope we both get a bfp in a couple of days. Im going to try and wait until tuesday to test again. I was never this impatient when trying for my first 2 children i didn't test until af was due but it did happen first month with both. Ive been trying for a 3rd since January and had a mmc in june so am getting abit impatient and test crazy lol.x

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 01/10/2016 19:59

Congratulations to those who got their BFPs. FX for sticky beans!

Skipper so sorry to hear you're leaving. I totally understand and you'll be missed.

I don't appear to have ovulated this month. Should have got my positive OPKs today but nothing. Both very much negative. Feeling so deflated and ready to just give up!

MissMagpie · 01/10/2016 21:25

Congratulationsnappingandtiggi!
Hopefully there are will be many more bfps coming soon.
sk1pper good luck and just try to relax and hopefully something will happen soon. Let us know how you get on.

Alibaba2 · 01/10/2016 22:07

Positive - is it possible it's just delayed?

Skipper - thanks for running the thread and I understand why you'd like to handover the baton. Good luck over the coming weeks. x

bairnsangs · 01/10/2016 22:11

Sorry to hear you're taking a break skipper but totally get where you're coming from. I would really recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility btw, if you're at all inclined to look at this kind of thing. best of luck with the tests Flowers

Sorry writer that sucks!

I had a different kind of bother today - still had a lovely day but was down at my parent's with DP and DSS. They just dote on him so much and I know they can't wait to be grandparents and they know we're trying (went on hols together and I was off the drink) so it gets a bit emosh in my head Confused

Anyway, massive FX for tomorrow's testers, congrats on the BFPs ladies who've got them already and FX for sticky beans and happy pregnancies Grin welcome LittleEm

(28, TTC #1, cycle 2, CD 17 - guessing from OPK surge I'm 5/6 dpo)

MouseLove · 01/10/2016 23:34

Ladies, when should I temp? Just ordered a thermometer today. My first alarm is 5am to get DH up, I then go back to sleep and then wake again at 7am to get myself up. At the weekends I probably wake more towards the 7am mark.

Thanks!!

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 01/10/2016 23:58

Ali I'm like clockwork since having DD. While I've been testing I've never not ovulated. Also only had EWCM for 1 day (Wednesday).

Mumrahhhh · 01/10/2016 23:58

Hi mouselove you should do it at 5am as it should be a resting body temperature from at least 3 hours sleep. You might find your weekends are a degree or 2 higher as later, try to do them as near to the same time as possible. The resting body temperature means do it before moving, don't have a wee first of anything. Good luck, it's been my first month temping and it's really helped. I had no idea when I ov'd and it turns out it wasn't until cd18! I used opk's for the first month too and it confirmed I definitely ovulated.

misspositive keep testing with the opk's, you could be later than normal?

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 02/10/2016 00:00

(TTC #2, Cycle #7 (EMC cycle #4), CD #15)

bairnsangs · 02/10/2016 00:00

I'm about to start temping too Mouse so people's advice on this would be great! From reading up it seems that it's very important you've been asleep for at least 3 hours before taking temp. I think that means you'll have to be around 5am Mouse Shock I'm a little worried about it because there's a toddler in our house at least half the week and he likes an early visit to the big bed...

I'm wondering about whether to take the temp by mouth or vaginally Blush what are you going to do? The thermometer says rectal (nope) or vaginal is most accurate...

bairnsangs · 02/10/2016 00:03

Sorry for the cross post. That's helpful advice Mumrahhh and I'm glad to hear you've found it helpful. I thought it sounded like too much hassle st first but I'm quite excited to try it now!

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 02/10/2016 00:06

Mum AF showed up late on CD1. I went to toilet before bed and there she was. Do you think this could affect it?

MouseLove · 02/10/2016 00:08

Thanks Mumrah, yeah I'm using as a way to get more in tune with my cycle since I have no clue what to expect post pill. This past 2 weeks have been difficult because I've had AF symptoms pretty much daily. But nothing. Not even spotting. I've had sporadic EWCM (loads today) and so I really have no clue when or if I've ovulated.

Bairn erm I think in the mouth. Mainly because I'm not sure I want to put a thermometer anywhere else at 5am GrinWink

Did you get your thermometer already? I just missed my amazon prime window by 10 mins before to get it tomorrow, so mine will be here Monday now. Bugger!!
