Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Good luck to everyone!!! Flowers

Am 36 next week and have a 19 month old ds. Just come off the pill to ttc number 2. Never used these forums first time round so will be nice to share things with others

Lots of luck to you all Smile

That's rubbish Writer, chin up love, here's hoping for a lucky bus Flowers

Welcome freddybear!

sk1pper · 11/09/2016 07:27

Flashing - fx for you, I hate it when you make cunning fertile week plans and AF stomps all over them by being early or whatever. Though to be fair, its actually because ovulation happened late/early.

Writer - that does suck, there's no escape from it at work. We have a work crèche that I have to walk past every day. Some of the kids are so cute :(

Welcome freddy!

MundayCakes85 · 11/09/2016 07:37

I know how you feelwriter there's 2 at my work and everyone is asking when we'll have another!
Never mind. Sat with DD watching Frozen. DH coming back from a stag do today so may start DTD tonight (CD13)

Writerwannabe83 · 11/09/2016 08:02

skipper - I work with babies aged 0-2 and to get to my Department I have to walk past Maternity so all I see are pregnant women with lovely bumps or women walking out with their newborns. There really is no excuse. I find walking through maternity very difficult.

I have four pregnant colleagues (two of whom are about to drop) and then two other colleagues have just had babies too.

It's just everywhere!!

Thankfully none of my friends or family ask about TTC so I don't have any pressure like that.

My FW is approaching but me and DH are totally run down with colds, headaches, blocked noses, aching muscles, lethargy and just feeling pretty shit. We have a few days to recover though before FW approaches so I'm hoping we can crack on. My DH is out the Country during October's FW so I need to give it all I've got this month.

Writer - sheesh that is tough! It's really hard not to get jealous of people when's it's all around you like that. Fx for your BFP this month! Hopefully you won't even need October.

Hey, does anyone have trouble working out their cervix position during AF? Since using FF last week my cervix has been too high to log anything, but I've read online it should be low and hard during AF. I also am really really horny (normal for me during AF) but I'm worried that I'm ovulating early. May do an opk later just to be sure but it seems so silly...

purplebella · 11/09/2016 18:37

What's all this about cervix position, sk1pper?! I've never heard of it! Will have to google that one lol

Writerwannabe83 · 11/09/2016 19:07

Recording cervix position is not something I could bring myself to do Grin

sk1pper · 11/09/2016 19:30

My opk was negative. I've only started doing cervix as its in Ovia and FF which I've started to use alongside Clue (trying to work out what I prefer). I don't really get it to be honest and my temps are all over the place too so how I'm going to record an increase when I ovulate I don't know. Starting to think things may have gone too far Hmm

FlashingLights · 11/09/2016 19:57

As a midwife, the last thing I want to do is go home and worry about my own cervix Blush so I don't.

Writerwannabe83 · 11/09/2016 20:26

I think, in alignment with my job, being a midwife must be one of the best jobs in the world Smile

Writer definitely! We are very lucky indeed Grin

Jumping onboard
TTC 1
Age 31
Cycle 9
I naively thought TTC would happen 2 months max! Haha, silly me :) fingers crossed for this month, would love a June baby, mostly because it will be winter in the last couple of months of pregnancy and it's hot where I am.
Each month I come up with a reason to prefer this one to last one...silver linings

sk1pper · 12/09/2016 07:41

I've upped my EPO capsules to two a day and I'm already noticing really good CM. It was only the last day of my period yesterday. Fx it continues to fertile week.

Me9an · 12/09/2016 07:44

Morning! Joining from the September thread. Af finally arrived a few days ago cd 43! Normally have 32 day cycles so hopefully back to normal this month!
Brought some cheap ovulation tests from Amazon, roughly when in you cycle is best to start doing them?

TTC 1
Age 26
Cycle 2

Fingers crossed this is a lucky month for all X

Writerwannabe83 · 12/09/2016 07:48

Morning me9an, I recognise you from the September bus, sorry to see you had to join us.

I generally ovulate on CD17/18 but I still start using my OPKs from about CD14 which is typically a week from the end of my last period.

If your cycles are normally 32 days I would start testing from CD14/15 like I do. My cycles are usually 31/32 days long.

Hi everyone. I was just wondering if anyone else is in the 2ww and if you go mad with poas!

I'm 6dpo

sk1pper · 12/09/2016 12:55

Welcome giving and me9an!

Purple - I hardly ever test, it was costing me too much money. I normally do one if I plan on drinking in the 2ww.

NappingRabbit · 12/09/2016 13:02

I'm not in the 2ww yet purple but am a POAS addict when I am. I buy loads of cheapies so I don't waste too much money on it Blush

purplebella · 12/09/2016 13:04

Yeah me too sk1pper. I was bored and looking at other threads and they were testing every day! Not sure I want all that disappointment!

purplebella · 12/09/2016 13:08

Napping, do you find the cheapies reliable? I may well be an addict yet! I do normally wait for af or if I'm going out like sk1pper

NappingRabbit · 12/09/2016 13:16

Yes I got my BFP on one last time - when a faint line showed on a cheapie I then did an FRER to double check and got a decent line on that.
