The October Bus - hoping for lots of BFPs and Summer babies!!

Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Mrs I read you shouldn't use lube when TTC as it acts as a barrier?? Maybe something to google ask your GP about?

I've just read a really long article about vitamin a. There are 2 sources - preformed which come from animal sources (this is the sort in standard multivits and liver etc) and provitamin, which is plant based (shows as beta carotene on pregnancy vits). The second are the safe ones, the first are dangerous in high doses (although if you can be bothered to read it all, it suggests dangerous is only just over the rda). There is a section called health implications and that talks about pregnancy.

As I said before I think normal vits are fine until conception, just once you know you are pg, swop to a pg vitamin.

Noooo I've had pink bleeding. It's four days early and my temp was high this morning but could have dropped I guess. Doesn't seem to be very heavy though and I've had no stomach cramps like normal, maybe it's that damn tea.

I'll know in the morning for sure :(

Mouse we use Preseed which is doesn't affect sperm. It also claims to help the swimmers. You shouldn't use normal lube. We tried to DTD without lube and let's just say it wasn't pretty.

Mum I always assumed that some vitamin A was safe but not in high doses, which is why they tell you to avoid pate. Thanks for clearing the issue up. I went to buy pate on the weekend thinking I could have some before fertile week. However on the packet it says it's not be consumed during pregnancy and before conception

If it helps, my mother dropped the bomb that she started the menopause at 40 and has a "bit of a tilted womb... or something" to quote her. Jeeze just what I needed to find out.

I'm lucky in that if you turn on the microwave I melt quite fast. I must have "easy" buttons.

Sk1pper could it be implantation? Not sure where you are in cycle. My MC was a pink implantion bleed. DD was bright orange .

Mouse I was once the same. I am now dryer that the Sahara. Having a baby took that all away.

The Preseed is v expensive but totally worth it. I don't think DH could take anymore of my wincing and gasping.

Mouse don't worry about the tilted womb. Makes no difference to baby making. It is a bit scary if you have to go for a early scan and they tell you that they can't find your baby or your womb. They found mine in the end though. By 12 weeks it had popped up to where it should be.

My boobs are really hurting again tonight, they feel heavy and achey and my nipples just feel really uncomfortable.

I'm also weeing loads again. I went about an hour ago and now I'm absolutely busting again.

Writer I'm the same. Boobs hurting, bigger, darker and more veiny. Weeing constantly. And hungry all the time. Still lots of cm too. AF due tomorrow. Really hoping I get a bfp when I test next week, assuming AF hasn't come.

Why aren't you testing until next week???

BFN. But no AF yet so that's a positive.

Oh no napping - when is AF due again?

I'm not sure I have the inclination to test this morning. Sometimes I feel excited and can't wait to POAS and then other times I feel a bit nonchalant about it because I'm convinced it will be a waste of time.

writer/lousy - in my experience, any who has had big veiny boobs on the buses has gone on to have BFPs, so fx!

No AF for me this morning, and my temp is really elevated way over the base line. My chart almost looks triphastic now. Thing is, because I know my body so well - I really can't believe I'm pregnant. My symptoms aren't good enough and I feel like AF is imminent.

sk1pper - they aren't big or veiny, just achey and uncomfortable

When I was testing obsessively with DS I was getting BFNs right up until the day my period was due and even on that day my BFP was really faint. The night before getting my BFP I noticed my boobs looked huge when I was getting ready for bed but I don't recall them being veiny

I tested but got BFN - I always start to count myself out if I don't even get squinter a at this stage

Sk1pper those temps sound really promising. I think before 10dpo last cycle I knew I was out as my temp started to drop. How many dpo are you? Do your temps usually stay elevated?
