The October Bus - hoping for lots of BFPs and Summer babies!!

Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Good luck to everyone!!! Flowers

Sk1pper I'm not 100% sure of AF date, should be somewhere between 12-15th October - my cycles have been a bit irregular lately which is making it all a bit confusing Confused

Mimilicious013 · 27/09/2016 15:49

Congrats mundayStarFlowersStarFlowers.pics please!!
Good luck to everyone in the tww and about to poas.

MundayCakes85 · 27/09/2016 17:42

Munday - so happy for you :D out of interest, what DPO are you?

Elles85 · 27/09/2016 18:00

Congratulations mundaycakes85 Smile

miraflores81 · 27/09/2016 18:01

Just a quick question, what fertility app do people use and recommend, I don't temp because I don't think it will work for me, but I do use opk.
Thanks in advance!Smile

MissMagpie · 27/09/2016 18:02

Does anyone know what it feels like to ovulate?
I am 11 days in to my cycle and am having really bad pains kind of where I would expect my left ovary to be. I don't usually ovulate this early and haven't had any ewcm - but what else could it be?
It hasn't happened before and I am currently confined to the sofa and in pain!

MundayCakes85 · 27/09/2016 18:03

Thanks. 12dpo, AF due today. Had an idea it might be my month due to the rage I had last week! Was exactly the same with DD.
We DTD the 4 days prior to ov, but not the actual day itself. Also tried the Aldi multivits for a change. Bloody love Aldi Grin

Tinkerbell2319 · 27/09/2016 18:09

Ah brilliant congrats munday!

I'd also be interested to know which frackers people use... Not gonna lie I've just downloaded my third one Hmm so far my estimated date for AF is different on both of them :/ "period tracker" says 11th but the other one called "life" says 15th Confused

Tinkerbell2319 · 27/09/2016 18:09

*trackers - thank you autocorrect!

Flingmoo · 27/09/2016 18:19

MissMagpie Yes I always know when I'm ovulating, without fail. I would kind of describe it as a stabbing sensation or maybe a bit like a stitch, in one side, not for very long, and doesn't feel anything like period pains. Combined with unmistakable EWCM and looking at the calendar confirms it. In fact before we wanted a second baby (so before we started trying to conceive) we would be extra careful with protection on ovulation days as I knew I would be more fertile than usual.

I was so sure when I ovulated last month that when when DTD I had this immediate feeling that we conceived that night, couple of weeks later sure enough I had my BFP.

I know it's not that simple for most women though. Blush

Me9an · 27/09/2016 18:22

Congratulations *Munday!!!
*
I use Ovia and Clue. I've used clue for a long time to record my periods so I feel that it has a much better 'history' of me. However Ovia is definitely better in my opinion for the fertility side of things, even if it does drive me a little mad with the annoying suggestions and comments!!! I don't temp either as I do shift work so I found that Ovia worked best over fertility friend which seems to be more focused on temping?

bairnsangs · 27/09/2016 18:25

Congratulations Munday woo hoo! First BFP! Star

Hi mira and tinker - I use both Ovia and Dot. Ovia more for TTC and Dot for period tracking - I've found it really accurate but I do have quite a regular cycle.

sk1pper · 27/09/2016 18:35

Tinkerbell - welcome to the mad house, seems like you'll fit right in here Grin

Mumrahhh/Napping/Mother - I have everything crossed for you, though I'm the same as you Napping - no symptoms whatsoever. A face spot and some boob ache is not good enough for me.

mira - I'm using three at the moment, Ovia, Clue and Fertility Friend. Clue isn't all that good, its just got all my historical data in it from when I wasn't taking things so seriously. Fertility friend is excellent, especially if your temping but most people are put off by its design. Ovia is good and probably the most user friendly, the daily feed is interesting too.

sk1pper · 27/09/2016 18:37

Also, I'm relieved to say that OH got his act together and got the morning off work. So our fertility appointment is now on the 13th October. I can't say I'm happy that's its come to this, but now I feel like we're taking the right steps, a weight has lifted from my shoulders

Tinkerbell2319 · 27/09/2016 18:47

I've just downloaded Ovia and it's rated me as 10/10 for today eek!

Good luck for the appointment sk1pper :)

Mumrahhhh · 27/09/2016 18:55

Hi wantingabud, that's positive news, fingers crossed for you! Just make the planned bd as light hearted as you can, have a giggle about it and it will relax you too xx

Already a lucky bus, I can guarantee there will be more - got a feeling about this one ladies.

MotherofUnicorns - how are you feeling? Grin anything to report?

accidentalpirate · 27/09/2016 20:03

Can I join pls? 30, #2 cycle 1 we dtd around 6 days before ovulation because of family
Holiday. Anyone conceived this far before ovulation? Have lower back pain and sore womb feeling and noticed sore nipples in the last couple of days whilst feeding my one year old. Now stuck in the tww, and so tired. I don't know whether It's all in my head!

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 27/09/2016 20:11

Munday what's the Aldi vitamins. I'm taking Pregnacare and they make me I'll. I get headaches and just generally feel awful on them. Too scared to try anything new as I took them with #1 and maybe they were the reason why my body was baby ready. Would love something which didn't make me feel like crap and saved me some pennies. It's quite expensive buying vitamins for me and OH.

MotherofUnicorns · 27/09/2016 20:23

nothing to report yet..... feeling achy in lower abdomen which could be either. Bit of boob ache, again could be either. spot on my cheek.
According to Ovia af is due tomorrow which is cd29.
I think i will give it a couple more days.....
I am taking the seven seas conception vitamins which seem ok. Pregnacare also make me a bit funny - unless i have very full stomach i get diarrhoea!
I'll keep you all updated - no pressure for me being the next on the list after munday!!
x

purplebella · 27/09/2016 20:41

Funny you should talk about the apps... just went on Ovia, it moved my fertile week back a few days and now I'm at 10.0! So glad we dtd this morning!

I have that ov feeling today so it's very accurate. And it had already updated it without me even reporting the left pelvic pain.

I showed my OH the alert telling me to have sex today!

purplebella · 27/09/2016 20:46

Does anyone else get ov pain? I've had it on the same side twice in a row (the left), is this normal?

sk1pper · 27/09/2016 20:58

I always get ovulation pain, this cycle I had it from both sides on two consequtive days which is how twins are made :)

It's a common misconception that your ovaries rotate each cycle, you do stand a chance of the same ovary releasing twice in a row or more.
