The October Bus - hoping for lots of BFPs and Summer babies!!

Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

I'm my naivity, before joining this forum, I had no idea how common MC was. I know so many people on here who have had to go through this, and I can't imagine how it feels.

I hope that the worst is past for you now and in fact, I hope that anyone on the October bus (or any subsequent bus) who gets their BFP goes on to have a healthy and happy baby with no complications.

buddub so sorry for your losses. I hope this sounds like it's meant. I find hearing stories of other people's losses comforting. I felt quite alone in a sea of baby bumps but knowing there are others out there makes you realise that you're not alone. I tried FF last night and I don't like it. Looks a bit too scientific for me. I use Ovia as it's easy to change your AF dates when they play silly buggers.

I've been using ovia & FF. If you're charting, FF is much better than ovia but if you're not charting, I much prefer ovia!

First week of October starts next week, we have a lot of people coming up that week for AF and testing (including myself) - fx to everyone and enjoy the weekend!

I think k might start testing Wednesday/Thursday next week!!

I love early testing and squinting for lines

I'm going to try and hold out til next weekend at the very earliest. I drove myself crazy last month testing too early. If my cycle follows the same pattern as last month AF will show up next Friday. Fx that's not the case.

AF due Thursday but not testing til at least next weekend.

Hi ladies, sorry not been about, it's been a busy few days. Welcome to all the newcomers, there are plenty of us.

Buddub, so sorry to hear of your losses, fingers crossed for you.

I've been using Ovia and fertility friend, but new to both and first month of tracking so just seeing what I get from both. Today ff is still showing a fertile day even though no cm and negative opk, so not sure what that's about! I'm not sure if my temp had gone back high enough, so still slightly stressing that I'm not ov'in. Only 10 more days till testing!!

So first cycle tempting and today my temp has dropped massively and I'm only 4DPO. This is possibly why I'm not conceiving as obviously not producing enough progesterone. I will check again next cycle but I had a hunch it was something to do with this as I know my body's ovulating correctly. hope the treatment is easy for it...need to google it later.

Hi all I have not posted for a while, it's been a strange month for me. I started using opk strips and was starting to get quite worried that they were negative all the time, anyway it finally turned positive on day 19 so that was good news. However around that time my OH could no longer BD because it was causing him pain, and I had thrush which I wonder if that was affecting him also. anyway I think this month is a write off for us, although we did manage to Bd on day 16, but I'm thinking with my mucus being thick I doubt we have conceived. So roll on AF so that we can get started again. We both have cold at the moment too. I'm popping lots of vitamins and trying to get prepared ready for next cycle, I've decided to do Stoptober as well so no alcohol at all in October, it can't hurt! Here's hoping for more luck and a bfp in November! Good luck everyone xx

I have a test date of the 8/10. No holding out much. Hope though as I was away Tues-Thurs and now DP is away Thurs-Sun!

sk1pper - what are your thoughts and worries about your progesterone?

I'm starting to worry about mine too and am toying with the idea of seeing my GP....

How big is the drop sk1pper? Is it below cover line? Implantation dip?

Last month I had a drop CD6 but it shot back up on CD8 before dropping again before AF. I read about it at the time & I'm sure I read that that kind of fluctuation is normal for some people. I'd wait and see how your temps look over the next few days & if still worried, see your GP. I'm hopeful you'll see a rise tomorrow or Monday though

Still waiting for fw but sure my cm this morning was watery/EWCM bu I'm only on about cd8? Weird. Going to bd tonight and start opks. Just ordered another 30 cheapies and some more preseed!

Writer - my thoughts are that I'm ovulating fine, I get positive OPKs every month at the perfect time, my CM is generally okay though (sorry TMI alert) some fertile days it's too creamy - though I think preseed will solve that issue. And I get ovulation pain every month, and this month from both sides. So the egg is definitely releasing and luteal cycle is 14 days, so I'm naturally beginning to think it's to do with my lining not catching the egg?

Do you temp? I'm just freaking out because of the dip I had last night but I admit it's really too early to draw conclusions and I don't have any other cycles to compare it to yet.

Purple - thanks, yes I've just looked it up and you're right, a small dip can be normal. Possibly just over reacting. I've posted my chart - don't know if it helps.

I went out and brought a ton of Vitamin C tablets today to supplement the Pregnacare I'm taking. These are 500mg tablets and are said to help with he luteal phase.

So I've been using opks and got a positive straight away today and I've also been BD everyday with OH so FX.

I've not been temping but I think I might start. Should I get a special temp?
