Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

thanks moose.
to join the symptom spotting, i can now fit in my normal (smaller) bras ...
on the plus size they are push up and pretty Smile

though to be fair .... it was the rib-cage measurement, not the cupsize that increased...... so perhaps it was just the cake on holiday and means diddly squat.

see? symptom spotting - I am rubbish!

kwick · 06/09/2016 15:50

Thanks hep I am not know for my counting ability!

sk1pper · 06/09/2016 16:37

Girls, I've reached an all time low.

You know when your friends or family announce their pregnancies and you smile but inside your dying? Well I just had that with a family of seagulls. Mummy and daddy seagull with their fledgling chick, chilling on the grass outside work. Kill me now...

ArtOfKnit · 06/09/2016 17:08

moose don't encourage the symptom spotting!! I felt much better after being sick and nose is no longer blocked up Grin

sk1p unmumsnetty hugs (((( ))))

HepKestrel · 06/09/2016 17:16

Flowers sk1pper
when your ttc, babies appear everywhere !

jellyella · 06/09/2016 17:56

Oh dear Sk1p an actual seagull family? You've got it bad!

Flowers for you Hep, I hope Friday is as OK as it can be. On a much less important note, please can you put me down for 19th Sept? Thanks you for looking after the bus tickets!

I'm rubbish at symptom spotting too. When we first started TTC I spotted and then googled everything and it was never a sign of being pregnant. So now I'm purposefully trying not to notice anything!

Si1ver · 06/09/2016 17:57

Oof skip if it makes you feel any better I cried at a rats nest at work today.

I tested this morning, five days early and unsurprisingly it was a bfn.

Also I don't get the bus ticket thing thick

sk1pper · 06/09/2016 18:01

Hep - yep, those damn stealth babies! :D

My BBT thermometer has arrived! Anyone got any tips?

LondonJem · 06/09/2016 18:55

Sorry it wasn't your month inspector, hope the opks do the trick this cycle

skipper know how you feel, ducks rabbits kittens, I could be envious of any mother right now!

Had a spa day today with DH. It was really lovely and relaxing. When we came out he had a text waiting from one of his best mates to say his wife gave birth today. It's not unexpected but it still feels like a punch in the gut Sad I should just be happy for them, but I'm just so sad and envious Sad Hate what this is doing to me.

AlexiaB · 06/09/2016 19:04

peaches I feel exactly like that, and I still want to add more! I had a bad start with Vitex post-mc as I feel like it made me bleed extra, it was weird. I started using it again on cd5 this cycle and all is fine.

skipper - I've said it all before but my top 3 tips are:

  1. Set an alarm for the same time every day (you need at least 3 hours solid sleep before taking your temperature for it to be 'reliable')
  2. Use Fertility Friend and read the detailed emails they send you for charting info
  3. Keep calm and don't over-analyse your chart

My opks aren't positive yet which is good because I had a melt down last night over DH not finishing.

Jem any news like that is a kick in the stomach. I feel you. The whole process is driving me crazy I spend so much time every day thinking about it!

Binkybunny13 · 06/09/2016 21:40

Thanks for replies yesterday ladies. Great pointers.

I have bulk bought more pregnacare and OPKs today in the hope that the law of sod kicks in and I get lucky this month (money a bit tight atm but would be happy to have wasted it if I get a BFP!). My date for the bus is AF 24th- thanks hep and good luck for fri

Alexia- fingers crossed it was just a blip yesterday and that OPKs are on the up and coincide with lots of excellent DTD

Jem/ sk1pper Flowers

I had loads of EWCM today and OPKs are improving so I'm heading to try to lure DH away from his computer game..

AliceScarlett · 06/09/2016 21:48

I'm 22nd Sept, but I don't POAS anymore, so I'm just expecting AF that day.

Seagulls! This TTC process does send us slightly mad. Babies are everywhere...

Kwick, hows the TWW going?

Good luck Hep.

I'm plodding along, FW for me, DH not really on-board, I have to just back off, any kind of discussion is "pressure" and less jizz I shall get. I'm not hopeful at all anymore really and that feels easier. Maybe by 35 I'll be pregnant. Realistic goal there. Dildo cam was fine, the cyst on my ovary is resolving, I've got to make a GP appt, I'll make it for after the 22nd where I guess I'll start getting tests. I feel slightly bad telling them its a year when its 10 months, but I have 1 day periods and bleed in between, and DH has low testosterone, so, clearly not fertile.
I think TTC makes me a bit passive-aggressive :/

Alexia - yep sorry you already gave me that advice, I just got so excited. Thank you, going to temp from tomorrow morning :)

Binky - good luck DTD, glad you are being so proactive with the OPKs and such. I so wish I'd started much earlier.

Alice - don't feel bad lying to the docs, you have to to get anywhere. How long have you been trying to conceive?

I'm out for this month, my hot bath did the job of getting AF to appear.

HepKestrel · 07/09/2016 07:15

Sorry sk1pper Flowers,

Mooseville · 07/09/2016 08:37

Alice are you going out with my DP? Lol
Honestly, this has now become a mind game that's starting to drive me crazy. I can't seem too keen to DTD as then he twigs it's the right "time" freaks out and can't finish. I can't be too not keen or it doesn't happen as his sex drive isn't huge anyway. I've confused myself by suggesting DTD last night, but then not pressing for it, for the aim of doing it tonight without him noticing I'm too keen and exerting pressure??!! I mean have I lost my mind?? Confused

I wouldn't worry too much about a few white lies to the Drs. By the time tests etc get in motion and results come through it would be a year anyway!

LondonJem · 07/09/2016 08:52

alice I told my GP I was two months further along in our quest too. A year seems a bit arbitrary to me, and there's bit much between 10 and 12 months. Will be going back at 'a year' in November. I think you are similar to me - cycle 9?

moose this sounds so frustrating. Is it that he worries about it taking ages? Could you take off the pressure by saying we can take as long as we like, there's no rush etc etc?

AliceScarlett · 07/09/2016 08:54

suggesting DTD last night, but then not pressing for it, for the aim of doing it tonight without him noticing I'm too keen and exerting pressure??!!

I also do this. Mind games.

Cycle 10 now. I guess 8 weeks isn't much difference. Can take that long to get a gp appt.

OP posts:
Mooseville · 07/09/2016 09:10

jem it's not that it takes ages, he just says it goes over sensitive so becomes almost painful.
It has always happened, right from the beginning of our relationship, and it's not everytime, but it just gets frustrating as it mainly seems to happen at FW, but I do think it is subconscious when he knows it's FW if you see what I mean. Then when it happens, he gets upset and thinks he's failed and feels rubbish, so it's just a big awful circle! Obviously when we weren't trying for a baby, it didn't matter!

AliceScarlett · 07/09/2016 09:29

Exactly the same as my DH Moose, it's not nice for us, or for them either.
If I was super fertile it wouldn't matter, but clearly dtd a few days in the FW isn't going to cut it.

HepKestrel · 07/09/2016 09:36

si1ver i'm not sure who first calling them bus tickets ! the thread originally started last october ! I only joined in feb/march.

Its just a way to cheer on people and support each other who are at the same point as us. The bus ticket is for the day your AF is due. No testing before that date or you won't get a kwick Cake

Alice I went to the Dr's at 10 months and sad it had been a year. Also when I saw the lovely nurse a few months ago she strongly recommended telling fibs about how long you've been trying!

My boobs have been trying to trick me again, really tender! I had a few months without any tender boobs, used to get it as a pre-AF symptom before that.

AliceScarlett · 07/09/2016 09:52

Well if a nurse said it that makes me feel less guilty Halo

Thanks Hep I assumed it was something along those lines. Clearly I'm not active enough to have picked up on it before.

You can put me down for 11/09
