Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Marmite amazing news! So pleased for you.

Lovely good luck with the blood tests.

Great news on the scan marmite Smile

Oh Alice that made me laugh! I'm glad you're relaxed about it. In the long run it might help that you've changed/spiced things up a little. It can get so bloody monotonous! I don't even enjoy sex much any more because I can't turn off the weird thoughts in my head. I'm just like "okay please let this be a 2min quickie... Yes he's going fast, he's going to cum any second now, I will get the jizz!... Omg no he's slowing down WTH!? Did he cum? Oh ffs just cum!"Blush It's a nightmare.

Hello, can I join?
I'm a MN newbie, so go easy on me!

I think these are my stats:
Age 34, partner is 39
TTC #1 since June 2015, no bfps or anything yet
Sperm test normal, my progesterone tests were a bit low (28 the first time, then 29)
Saw gynaecologist yesterday for first time - they're going to refer me for a HSG scan, and then 3 months of Clomid.

But anxious about both but really just want to get moving with it all. Feel a bit down about it all, particularly when AF arrives, or when friends announce they're pregnant, or when all the hugely pregnant ladies turn up for prenatal yoga just after my regular yoga class.... Sad

LovelyFishy · 03/09/2016 20:49

Marmite congratulations on the scan!!

Welcome to the madhouse Jelly! Sorry to hear it hasn't been easy, there's a couple of us now getting referred as things have been taking a while.

Alice and Alexia both your posts made me laugh!

AliceScarlett · 03/09/2016 21:28

DTD is something I've always thought was "Doing The Dirty", but apparently it is Doing The Deed! Who knew.

Welcome newbies.

Alexia I can relate to similar thoughts! Just means to an end most of the time. It was good to just chill out and do something different for once, plus it's cd8 or something and no fertile CM.

DH is doing a half marathon tomorrow so I need to get my sexy cape on. I don't own one.

OP posts:
kwick · 03/09/2016 22:01

alice of course not - this magic potion is from Xytex, in the US.
Donor is French/Italian/Puerto Rican

Welcome jelly!!!

kwick · 03/09/2016 22:05

I have to go back to clinic tomorrow to pick up Prontogest - progesterone intramuscular injections...really looking forward to those... Not. My progesterone levels are not what they want to see.

AlexiaB · 03/09/2016 22:41

Alice I have no idea if you're an early O'er or not but you should be fine on cd8. We've been told by many to make sure DH cums every 2-3 days as it helps with testosterone and sperm quality/quantity. We aren't that good when it's not the FW so we're working on that, and alternatives to dtd definitely helpWink GL with the cape, you can do it!

kwick that's so exotic and interesting! Love it. No idea of your ethnicity but I always stupidly assume everyone is white British (like me). My baby won't be white either. It'll be mixed/tanned and I can't wait to see what we create!

AlexiaB · 03/09/2016 22:42

Ps. sorry about your progesterone levels. Fx it's easily sorted!

LondonJem · 03/09/2016 23:48

Hello jelly! Sorry you're having a rough time of it Flowers good luck with the scan and clomid

Lol alexia and Alice Wink yes know the feeling!

Injections sound intense kwick Confused you are a real trooper

Thank you all so much for listening me out ranting about DH by the way. I know I get a bit lot mental BlushBlushBlush it helps me so much to have this place and people who know what it is like to go through this.

Just started tracking temperature this cycle in a bid to figure out why it's taking so long.

kwick · 04/09/2016 08:17

alexia I am English/Spanish - blue eyes, dark brown hair. I wanted to go for someone similar but with brown eyes - my nephew is half Peruvian, 1/4 english, 1/4 spanish and is just about the most adorable thing I have ever seen.

jem "been there, done that" with the injections so I know what I am dealing with... I did hope my progesterone would behave this time....

Take a look at the needle size Shock

Jem rant away all you need hun. No judgement here xx

Welcome jelly & cat

I was so impressed with DH last night. He was exhausted after a very long day. We got into bed at 12am and he fell asleep straight away. I woke him at 2am and he was all confused and still thought it was 12am. I didn't make too much of a fuss but he quickly surprised me and did everything he needed to do very quickly. I went to sleep happppyGrin

kwick · 04/09/2016 16:55

Great DTD antics Alexia Grin

sk1pper · 04/09/2016 17:19

Hi, I'm joining too :)

Here are my stats:
TTC #1
Age 29
Cycle 13 (soon to be 14)
CD 26 - I know that bitch AF is soon, grr...

Been to doctors once but was refused fertility tests and told to come back in 6-12 months which was horrible. I'm trying to get a second opinion from another doctor at the moment.

Just ordered a thermometer to do my temps for the first time :) dreading AF arriving because I've got some events to go to at work next week and I'm always so heavy.

Look forward to reading all your stories, good luck for anyone who's testing soon.

kwick · 04/09/2016 17:34

Welcome skipper! I highly recommend Fertility Friend for charting BBT if you aren't already using it.

sk1pper · 04/09/2016 20:16

Thank you Alexia, any tips most welcome. I've been using Clue up until now, but I did download Ovia earlier because I know that takes temp readings. Is fertility friend better than Ovia? I know it's all down to personal taste but still interested in what people think. :)

HepKestrel · 04/09/2016 20:26

fantastic news marmite .

.....and such a kewl photo kwick - really looking forward to your updates..... I hope everything goes well for you.

welcome jelly, cat and skip

LovelyFishy · 04/09/2016 20:34

Welcome Cat and Skipper!

Kwick that is a fierce looking needle!

Jem I hope you're feeling a bit better about it all now, you're always free to rant away here!

I've started symptom spotting today, even though I know I'm probably not ovulating. Agh!!

AlexiaB · 04/09/2016 21:02

skipper I haven't used Clue before but I have used Ovia and Fertility Friend since April. At first I thought Ovia was better simply because it was pretty and colourful, but in reality it's rubbish and when compared to FF. I haven't deleted Ovia though because the anonymous chat/question part can be useful and a stress relief.

I think FF is worth the subscription price. The online community is amazingly helpful and supportive. There's also FF guides who give great personalised feedback on your chart if you need help or advice. Don't be put off by FF's clinical look (like I was), you'll pick it all up very quickly. The BBT chart is incomparable to Ovia's basic charting system.

Also in terms of advice for charting BBT- I worked myself up and obsessed over each and every temperature in my first month charting. It really affected my sleep and in turn made most of my temps unreliable. My advice would be to chill out and not over think it too much. After you've charted a couple cycles you will have a much clearer picture of your cycles and feel more comfortable. This is something I wish someone had said to me before, so I hope it helps :)

LondonJem · 04/09/2016 21:34

Ay carumba that needle kwick Shock

Welcome skipper better luck with the next doc you see that first response is not good enough

Very good work from your DH alexia!
