Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Hep I love your grumpy cat!! I also love Ticket TonRide, between my friends we have quite a few of the different versions.

Alice I love Carcassone! Finally got a copy of my own on my last birthday. For the tests I got 21 day bloods, additional tests at my smear to double check for any infections, and an external ultrasound. Plus SA for DH!

For board game horror fans try Haynted House on the Hill. It's everyone's favourite that we've played with, different scenarios every time!

Welcome Music and Mummy!

Mummy I know it feels really tough, but past choices don't effect what's happening now. As for the bad feelings we've all had them, it just makes you a very real and normal human. We're all here to help, rant away if it makes you feel better!

Musicgrrl · 13/09/2016 12:55

I agree. I can talk to DH but I tend to tone down my anxieties in case he thinks I've lost it!

My current woe is that this week was fertile week but on Sunday I came down with really horrible stomach flu. It has messed with my BBT readings and has meant that we aren't BDing so I don't really know where I stand anymore. I've heard that being ill can delay or stop ovulation so I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Then we are giving ttc a break next month because if we got pregnant then the due date would be the month of my two best friends' weddings where I am bridesmaid! They would kill me.

So feeling like I'm out for a couple of months already. Sorry for the moan!

Musicgrrl · 13/09/2016 13:03

Mummy hearing that my friend was pregnant would definitely upset me even though I would be happy for them so I think that's a normal reaction!

AliceScarlett · 13/09/2016 13:10

Welcome Mummyh and Music Rant away we all do.

Moose Forbidden Island is good for 2 players, as is Duel. Or Carcassonne, you cant go wrong with Carcassonne.

I wish the phrase "man up" could be replaced with "girl boost" or something Hmm

Welcome mummy and music

I'd find it hard if my best mate got knocked up too mummy I think it would be almost impossible not to feel jealous when it's something you want so much

Love the board games recommendations. I'd looked at a few of those before and not purchased, will definitely invest before Christmas.

Feeling so rubbish today. Been out to stock up on tampons and paracetamol Sad DH doesn't know what to say to me and somehow manages to say the wrong thing. "Chin up" earlier Sad

Can't believe I'll be onto cycle 10. This entire year spent in a roller coaster on loop SadSadSad

Mummyh2016 · 13/09/2016 14:40

Thank you for all of your kind words, it's making me feel better and more 'normal' rather than being a cow.

HepKestrel · 13/09/2016 16:00

this is a rant and moan friendly group music ! (i've done more than may fair share Grin)

welcome mummy !

let me know your predicted AF(poas-testing) due dates, and I will add them to our list.

Peaches8Posies · 13/09/2016 16:09

Ahhhh, posted a big post earlier in reply to you girls, all missing! Sums up my day. I'm out! Just knew it! Had pale grey trousers ready this morning and changed to black. Knicker checking all day and noticed some spotting just before lunchtime!! Pissed off as part of getting over my mc I had convinced myself I could get pregnant again before my original due date of November.

skip yes what we are going though is the real 'normal', for me anyway. When I think back to my SIL missed mc and surgery, I'm sure she was 6/7 months before she conceived again (and had a very normal pregnancy). But she's not a person for talking about things much, I tired when I went through my mc without much luck. She's very much of the mindset you move on and try again, so I am.

I'm in same frame of mind as you london, we decided to ttc in the run up to Christmas last year, now the Christmas stuff is starting to appear in the shops again and I can't believe it's nearly a whole year later. Sad

Hi newbies Smile welcome to the madness.

Mummyh2016 · 13/09/2016 16:09

Thank you! Looking at the numerous apps I have (it actually makes me obsessed) I would guess between 7th-10th October, what date would you say based on that?

LondonJem · 13/09/2016 16:40

I've started spotting too Sad AF in force by the morning I reckon. Hello cycle 10.

HepKestrel · 13/09/2016 16:49

mummy shall we put you down for the 9th Oct?
once you have a few more cycles (well, hopefully you won't need them Wink) all apps should become a bit more accurate.

HepKestrel · 13/09/2016 16:50

We moved on to board games discussions while I was out today? I love Eldritch Horror and have 3 versions of Pandemic ... I'd recommend Dead of Winter if you like both of those. My latest favourite is Time Stories though - it's utterly unique in my experience. The presentation is fabulous and the story is so involving - that's a four player game if you can get the same group together to play it multiple times. I also like Evolution for bigger groups, or Sherlock Holmes, Consulting Detective for smaller groups (Moose, this would be perfect for two! You get a copy of The Times, a map of London, a directory of people and I think about 8 cases to solve. So good!) The base game of Munchkin is good for people new to board gaming as well, though it works best with people you know well and aren't afraid to screw over. My personal faves are co-op games where you all work together to beat the game - Shadows over Camelot is good for that too - though I don't mind the odd lying game. One Night Ultimate Werewolf is fun but can be a tad stressful if you're a shit liar. Grin

DH and I have a pretty respectable collection of board games, though not as much as a friend who is working on opening a board game cafe - he introduced us both to it and I surprised myself by loving them. They make a nice change of pace from video games I find.

Flowers Jem, you're not out yet. Still hoping for you. xx

Musicgrrl · 13/09/2016 17:33

Hep just guess work here at the moment but put me down for 30 Sept and I'll be optimistic that I might still ovulate this month!

sk1pper · 13/09/2016 17:41

Welcome mummy and music!

mummy - OH thinks I'm being over dramatical as well. When I woke up at 7am on Saturday to take my temperature he nearly died laughing. (I am not a morning person and I normally wouldn't wake up for anything or anyone).

Music - don't let your friends wedding stop you. I say this because if I get pregnant this month my due date will be my wedding day. Yes I'm relying on Sod's law to conceive.

peaces/jem - sorry you are out!! Fuck AF. Excuse my French.

OH has just ordered me the Bloodborne card game as a surprise. I say surprise but he's obviously told me because he gets too excited about surprises to keep them surprises. I can't wait to get it.

Peaches8Posies · 13/09/2016 18:08

No sk1p fuck af indeed!Wink

sk1pper · 13/09/2016 18:13

Also now I'm home I can check what games I have to recommend.

Card games:
Love letter
Flux
Exploding kittens (there is a family version and an adult version - both hilarious)

Board games:
Mice and Mystics (anyone one read the Redwall series - it's basically that)
Talisman (good for fantasy lovers)
Arkham horror
Dead of winter
Pandemic
Lord of the rings
Small world
Twilight struggle (2 player only, would only buy if you have interest in history namely the Cold War... Sounds boring but it's awesome)

And the others people have mentioned already :)

Musicgrrl · 13/09/2016 18:14

Aww sk1p how exciting about your wedding! I totally get what you mean about trying to induce Sod's law - I am tempted. I just think they'd react terribly if it happened. Although tbh it's pretty unlikely to!

LovelyFishy · 13/09/2016 18:20

Kav Shadows over Camalot is amazing, but so hard! Maybe my friends and I are just rubbish knights!

AlexiaB · 13/09/2016 18:33

Moose great work, too! It will definitely be a nervy tww for us. I can really relate to what you and Jem said about DP's. My DH is the sweetest but he kept saying to me every time I cried "why are you crying again? Please don't cry babe, I hate to see you cry". He always had good intentions but I got to the point where I was shouting "DON'T EVER ASK ME WHY I'M CRYING AGAIN, ISN'T IT BLOODY OBVIOUS? I'M DEAD INSIDE" and I ranted for a good 30 minutes about why the world is so unfair etcetc. Poor thing now doesn't ask me why I'm crying he just lets me cry because he knows I can't help it, and sometimes I just need to let it all out. I cried my eyes out over a bloody YouTuber announcing their pregnancy the other day, how bad is that? Lol

Jem, Peaches & Mrs - AF is the world's biggest bitch. I'm so sorry girls FlowersChocolateWine

Welcome music and mummy - rant away! It's great to have an outlet and so much support from lovely people who know the struggle.

kwick · 13/09/2016 18:59
