I almost put this in arts and crafts, seeing as how we talk about crochet as much as we talk about babies!

Hello all - hope you're all well.

Am 30 weeks today! Really can't believe it.

keepitgoing · 16/08/2016 14:34

Congratulations imps! Grin Glad NCT was good too. It still all seems unreal doesn't it? That there's s BABY in there, that could even live on the outside, that I will love and adore more than anything...

I agree beedle sizing is v variable, but tbh in my experience newborns just scrunch up their legs anyway, so it doesn't matter that much. Hope you're resting now, and brooking for no more bleeding

2.5 weeks at work for me. Come ON

Kip has suggested 'His' as a name for the baby.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 17/08/2016 09:56

2.5 weeks sounds good keep and I like the name his!! Certainly different.

I decided against the tiny sleepsuits and just ordered some in newborn. I ordered from m&s yesterday and my order is already with the dhl courier here, so I should get it later today. I certainly wasn't expecting next day delivery!

I've been resting nicely and catching up on netflix series that mrb doesn't like! And crocheting of course!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 17/08/2016 10:21

Approx. 25 hours after I placed my order my stuff is here Shock so if I decide I do need tiny stuff should be able to get it by the time we leave hospital!

Imps9 · 17/08/2016 12:00

Lol just received a suggested hospital bag list from NCT - one of the items is "birth announcement cards". Really??

Have you had any more bleeding Beedles or has that stopped for now? Do you have to go in as soon as you have some more even if it's a really tiny amount?

Post crochet updates ASAP!

Imps9 · 17/08/2016 12:01

Oh and Keep WELL JEL that you finish work in 2.5 weeks! And that you have a name sorted. Clever Kip.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 17/08/2016 12:19

Hey all. 11 dpo. Had 8 frer waiting to start using from tomorrow. Now have 7. And a faint bfp. Rare for me to get a line at 11dpo but had an urge to test so wee'd in a pot and it was dark so figured might as well test and see as have had so many symptoms this week, and each time I start to doubt myself as it shouldn't be possible to get pregnant every single time!! My body clearly isn't working right at filtering out the duff embryos. Am worried that it's then just evicting everything as it is utterly confused as to what it is meant to do. I have every expectation that this will end up being my 12 th loss but hoping that for some unknown reason it might be different. Am seeing prof q again on Friday, going to beg for prednisolone or anything else she can do for me. Just want to be doing something different. Not convinced by prog and clexane anymore. Not after so many losses. But now scared in case the other losses were duff ones and so what if this isn't a duff one and I do need the progesterone? Literally don't know what to do or not do

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 17/08/2016 12:42

BeedlesPineNeedles · 17/08/2016 12:52

A bit pale but I can it see it loopy good luck for Friday, hope she can give you something to help.

No more bleeding imps and yes it's straight to the hospital if/when it happens again. Bag is packed and ready! Though I do need to pack a 2nd bag for actual birth and baby stuff, not just me stuff.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 17/08/2016 13:23

Yes I can see that Loops. Hoping so much that this is your sticky FUFC BFP. I hope that they will be willing to at least try alternatives, even if the blood tests show nothing unusual. It's good timing to get this BFP just a before your appt though so you can start whatever treatment they advise straightaway. Come ON emby, STICK.

keepitgoing · 17/08/2016 15:17

I see it too loopy, glad you have an appt on Friday, am really brooking for you

I packed my bag last night too beedle, well, sort of, it would do. It has nothing for the baby as I figured if born now it would be irrelevant, so I guess I'll do the rest once on m/l

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/08/2016 08:29

Any more pee sticks loopy? Or are you doing the superhuman pee-holding like last time?

Mrb discovered yesterday that we do have isofix in our car! I asked him ages ago and he said no. Then he looked in a colleague's new car yesterday and realised that we do. We tested the carseat Base yesterday evening and it works rather nicely :o

imps is it best that I don't mention I have only worked 6 days since the beginning of July! Though I am due back at work in a week's time.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 18/08/2016 09:38

Morning lovelies!

6 days since July Beedles Shock I'm the opposite and have busier at work than I have been for a very long time. I'm so tired. And my non working day tomorrow is taken up with NCT and the family visiting for the rest of the day (we have to go and do something active otherwise my nephew will be "bored") and then NCT all day Saturday, followed by packing up the kitchen on Sat night and then NCT all morning on Sunday followed by taking Mr I to the airport and then meeting up with a friend for dinner and then it's back to work. I am craving some quiet me time but can't see any on the horizon. Sorry that's a bit miserable and moany isn't it?

Oh and the next person who makes a joke about the huge size of my bump is going to be punched in the face. It is NOT COOL to make a negative comment on the size/shape of a woman's body even if they are diffed.

Grrrrr sorry. Bit stroppy today.

keepitgoing · 18/08/2016 09:57

Oh imps you are too busy! Do you have some leave to use up before m/l, I am taking next Thursday and already planning how little I will do. Or send the others out with your nephew.

I'm the same. Mrkeep has a massive exam on the 7th so is revising for that, meaning I'm in charge of kip, so little rest for me at weekends. But my mum is coming g sat, so I may send them out and collapse in bed. I've sort of twisted my ankle though I don't know how, so that's uncomfortable too. Am v tired too just counting the days to m/l basically

Re your bump, just see it as a compliment. It's annoying but people are most likely just trying to make conversation. I do agree though. But your bump is lovely, anyway!

beedle will they sign you off longer? If they've signed you off to rest I can't see why you need to stop resting now, iyswim.you need to keep that baby in longer.

loopy looking forward to today's pee stick

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/08/2016 10:27

You poor things, imps is your nephew small enough that he will be happy with the local park, whilst auntie imps sits on a bench and watches lovingly?! And if Mr I is away can you have a few ready meals and early nights next week?

keep hope kip has a busy day with grandma on Sat so you can rest. Not sure what will happen about extending my sick leave, I'm seeing the mw next Wednesday so I'm sure she'll know. But I do have a pretty easy job sat in front of a computer all day, I'm sure if I had a more strenuous job I would be signed off for longer/till the baby comes. Also as my boss knows I could be signed off again I doubt he will give me anything urgent/stressful to do.

So ladies and bumps, 12 dpo today, test using second morning urine, which was only held for 2 hours after first morning urine but looked a reasonable colour. Definite progression. Will hopefully have chance to test tomorrow before heading to Coventry, am really hoping for a decent progression by then to be similar to last months lines.

The one where the BROOKERS make babies and blankets and hats and other crochet stuff!
Imps9 · 18/08/2016 14:21

Ooh yes good progress on the line. So glad you can take that with you to the appt tomorrow. You can always POAS when you get to Coventry if you don't have time beforehand.

Sorry for being a whingeatron. It's all my own fault for always saying "yes" to stuff. Mr I and I have a couple of holidays coming up so hopefully we can have a couple of days of doing nothing.

My nephew is 7 - it would be nice if he and his sister got on so that they could keep each other company, or if he was able to entertain himself or just be happy to sit and chat with the grown-ups but he always has to be entertained. It's quite draining but that's just kids, isn't it? Not panicking at all about having to go through this myself in years to come

keepitgoing · 18/08/2016 15:44

Oh god I'd assumed they'd need less by 7!! Yes, children are exhausting Grin and you need less sleep than you think yeah right imps you always have holidays planned!...

Yes that's good progress loopy. Good luck for tomorrow I hope dh can make it too

Imps9 · 18/08/2016 15:51

Well he's the only 7 year old I know who needs quite so much attention, so hopefully he's just a one-off!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 18/08/2016 16:14

Keep DH has tomorrow booked off so he is going to drop me off at the door in Coventry and then take the boys to McDonalds and I'm going to call him when I'm ready to be picked up. Was no way I was going to take them both with me, wold have had evil eyes from everyone in the waiting room, was bad enough last month when I had to take ds2 there with me. Plus it took over 40 minutes to find a parking space last month, incredibly stressful so this seemed the easiest solution! And he can grab me a large fries and not sure what else before he comes to get me!

Imps, my nearly 6 year old is like your nephew. Very high maintenance. Very knackering. Doesn't stop talking from the second he wakes until he goes to bed. Brain works non stop. Bought them both an Amazon fire last month. BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE!!!!!!!!!! (And headphones so it's silent!!!!)

BeedlesPineNeedles · 19/08/2016 05:57

Good luck for today loopy

Brooking that you have a really positive consultation today Loops and that you have a stronger line on the FRER.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 19/08/2016 17:30

Saw prof Q today. She said that my lupus anti coagulant test is now normal so she said I don't need clexane. She said the latest research with aspirin is more people got pregnant on the placebo than on aspirin and that the progesterone research went the same way, less got pregnant on progesterone, so unless people have low progesterone it may make no difference. She wouldn't give me prednisone because I am on metformin. And doesn't think it would be good for me to take it anyhow. So plan is to take metformin but no progesterone and no clexane. She has booked me for a scan 2 weeks today if by some miracle I haven't had a MC. She said if I have a MC then they could repeat the NK test to see if it was at a low point last Nov and is now higher. She also said could do the scratch again. But that's all they can do. She said I can't be part of the sitagliptin trial because your cycles have to be no more than 32 days long to take part, because the cost of the placebo is too much money, and so that's the rules they had to agree to for the funding. She said that if any sperm issue could pay for private DNA fragmentation tests but that all they would recommend to improve the sperm following those tests is well man tablets, or only other option is IVF which we can't afford. Not feeling hopeful for our rainbow.

She said there is no research to confirm if progesterone or clexane cause miscarriages but given they haven't worked for me she thinks it is safer to not take either. I haven't started anything yet for this bfp so going to have to trust her and take nothing and see what happens. She gave me a print out of the blood tests they ran, it's more tests than the standard NHS ones that Worcester did. They tested: full blood count, tsh, free t3, free t4, clotting screen, cardiolipin abs, Csc? Which gives a prothrombin time, hbac1, lupus anti coagulant (which was negative), prothrombin gene mutation, short fbc, thrombophilia screen/protein C, tissue transglutaminase, vitamin D. Every single one was normal. No idea if there is anything else I could be tested for? So frustrating. My lining is supposedly good. Hysteroscopy clear bar for few small adhesions that were removed. I can't have tube blockages else I wouldn't be getting pregnant. Pcos been treated for 7 1/2 months now. All blood tests normal. NK cells normal and stromal cells and other stuff that they looked at all normal. She said sperm count and motility must be fine else wouldn't be getting pregnant every time. So only possible sperm issue can be treated by well man tablets, and nothing else that they can suggest for me other than above, in case the progesterone or clexane is having a negative effect. Forgot to ask her re hcg injections, so just emailed prof B as its one thing I haven't tried yet.

Today's test is bottom line, top line is yesterday's, both a little bit darker than the same dpo last cycle. Tomorrow is 14 dpo and last cycle I had a really strong line so hoping for the same tomorrow...

The one where the BROOKERS make babies and blankets and hats and other crochet stuff!
keepitgoing · 19/08/2016 19:42

So loopy did she have no thoughts as to what was/might be causing them all?? She doesn't sound that helpful... But it sounds like something of a plan anyway. Brooking for tomorrow's line

BeedlesPineNeedles · 20/08/2016 08:07

It sounds like that were really thorough on all those blood tests, but it doesn't help if they can't actually find what's going wrong. Sounds like a good idea to try without the clexane and progesterone and see what happens.

Even if you could afford ivf I'm not sure how it would help, your little embryos clearly make it past day 5 and implant. You could spend loads of money and end up with a load of lovely blasts that still don't make it Sad And seeing as you already have your boys it seems unlikely that you or Mr loopy have something terribly wrong with your dna.

Does Mr loopy take wellman? Or maybe you could try him on the stuff Mr imps was taking, though I think that was more expensive.

Brooking for a good line today
