I almost put this in arts and crafts, seeing as how we talk about crochet as much as we talk about babies!

told DH that the chances are this one won't work so sooner he starts Wellman the better so he went and bought some yesterday.

One other thing left to try is the NK blood test, but that involves getting an NHS referral to Shehata. Apparently I can ask my GP to take the bloods and then I only have to go to see him for the results. Involves a 3 hour train journey from here with 2 changes and £53 plus the cost of a taxi. Someone in a rmc group has lots of early losses like me (about 5/6 I think) and was normal at Coventry for uterine NK but has just been told she has high blood NK so wondering if I might be the same.

Anyhow, in the meantime, 14 dpo and today's test.....

Definitely try the NK blood test Loops - you have absolutely nothing to lose other than a bit of cash and some time (and some blood of course). My consultant at Bourn Hall said that the NK tests at Coventry weren't a complete picture and advocated getting more detailed tests (or just paying for the relevant treatment, which we did in the end).

Have you had your AMH tested? From what I've read, it doesn't just give an idea as to egg numbers, but egg quality too. I'd highly recommend taking Proxeed for Women - it's only one sachet a day, so not as spenny as the man's version. It helps egg quality and Bourn Hall recommend it.

Right, off to NCT. Had a women's only session yesterday which I didn't think was that good, but it was nice to catch up with the other ladies again.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 20/08/2016 16:47

Imps I've not had AMH test but I've been taking pregnacare ever day, so would have thought that gave me all the nutrients I need? I also eat beetroot daily which should boost folic acid.

Just hoping beyond hope that this one will stick. Someone else on rmc thread is 2 days ahead of me with their cycle and on 15 dpo she had a test line the same colour as the control line. So am really hoping for a noticeable darkness to tomorrow's line, but last cycle it was this point in the pregnancy when mine stopped progressing on the lines, my test line never got close to the colour of the control line, never mind being darker than the control line. I have some clear blue digitals here as well but not sure if it's too early to try one of those tomorrow. 1-2 weeks on them means 3-4 weeks pregnant and i am 4 weeks today, so in theory if I test tomorrow I should at least get a 1-2 weeks pregnant if my hcg levels are where they should be for 4 weeks. I very much doubt I would get a 2-3 weeks as my hcg has never been fast to rise, with ds1 it was either 18 or 20dpo when a digital finally agreed I was pregnant (one of the old clear blue tests that didn't have the conception indicator, just pregnant or not pregnant)

BeedlesPineNeedles · 21/08/2016 17:40

loopy how were the peesticks today?

Hope you managed some resting this weekend imps

I had a teeny tiny drop of colostrum coming out of my left nipple after I showered this morning, so hopefully my boobs know what they are supposed to be doing!

Grin beedle

Hope the sticks were good loopy

Imps9 · 21/08/2016 20:50

Hello everyone! Hope you've had a good day, leaky boobs and all Beedles Grin

What's the latest Loops? I'm not sure what the difference is between Proxeed and Pregnacare - but yes, would have thought you'd have enough by way of vits. Although you have reminded me - I was prescribed high dose folic acid (5mg) by BH - that seems to be recommended for people who have high risk of producing embryos with neural defects. It was just part of the strategy of throwing everything at me to see what would work, rather than there being an established risk. Maybe something you could ask Prof Q about? My GP was happy to give me a prescription when I'd run out of BH prescription.

NCT class was good yesterday (but 10am to 4.30pm of information overload is exhausting) but we all felt that today's breastfeeding session was a bit imbalanced and judgeypants in terms of other options - even the notion of expressing and bottle-feeding breast milk got a bit of a frown. Still, it was reassuring to know that there is plenty of help out there for establishing breastfeeding - although not sure how much support there would be for deciding to stop, if you see what I mean.

Mr Imps got a taxi to the airport rather than me taking him, and my friend cancelled dinner so I've had plenty of me-time...trouble is, I've felt a bit restless and bored Confused Honestly, I'm impossible to please.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 22/08/2016 08:09

Peesticks weren't great. I did a cb digital yesterday which said 1-2 weeks but the FRER wasn't any darker than the 14dpo one, but a
tiny bit lighter. I was hoping it might just be down to different levels of urine dilution. But I'm not wasting tests today, I feel like a deflated balloon, the swollen pressure I had went last night. It's only a matter of time before this one goes, that hope has gone now.

keepitgoing · 22/08/2016 08:11

Morning all. Glad NCT was good imps. I know what you mean imps about stopping bf, I know people who've felt v guilty, but tbh you prob wouldn't need much 'support' to stop... Where I live there was always vague surprise I was bf! Expressing and bottle feeding is v hard work, hats off to those who do it exclusively for whatever reason.

Had omg moment last night at 3 weeks till I'm at term basically!

keepitgoing · 22/08/2016 08:12

Cross posts loopy I'm so sorry, hope you're wrong though xx

BeedlesPineNeedles · 22/08/2016 10:58

I hope you're wrong loopy

Glad you got some rest imps though surely you can't be bored, don't you have any crochet to do?! Or teeny baby clothes to to iron and fold lovingly!

The nursery is coming along nicely, walls are finished, light is now working and the chest of drawers is finished and filled with clothes! This morning I have been painting the window frame - now I'm back to resting on the sofa.

OP posts:
cartoontrickster · 22/08/2016 12:13

beedles should you be painting!?
imp I also found the nct to be very boob, boob, boob and hardly anything on bottle feeding I felt it should be more open minded. Also there was like a whole session on baby carriers great if you plan to get one as we got to try out several different types but wasted on us as we didn't plan on using one, and didn't.
loopy fingers crossed for you. I hope this one sticks.
I know it's money and a bit of a journey but you might find your answer with Mr s. What he does seems to have helped me so perhaps I'm biased. Brooking you won't need to though.

Imps9 · 22/08/2016 16:56

Erm, does everyone iron baby clothes?? I haven't ironed a single garment of clothing since around 1994 - I hadn't planned on starting for B-B! He can do it himself if he's that precious about it.

Loops am totally brooking that there is nothing amiss with that FRER. Can you go and see Dr S? I've heard such good things about him.

Trix hope all's well with you. Geek are you well too? So hope that Mr Geek is much much better now.

Beedles step away from the paintbrush you mad woman!

Pastamancer · 22/08/2016 19:34

Imps No reason to iron them, chances are they will either puke or shit on it anyway so it won't look nice for long

cartoontrickster · 22/08/2016 20:27

I ironed Blush like you my iron had barely been touched in years but I think some kind of weird nesting thing came over me and I got myself in a right flap about getting everything washed and ironed including bibs, socks etc Blush

Imps9 · 23/08/2016 07:24

You never know, maybe I'll be like you Trix and B-B will reignite a passion for ironing! My sister always ironed baby clothes because she said it would kill germs (my mum had obviously told her that) - even if that is true I wasn't going to bother as a few germs here and there are okay, but I thought I should check in case it was a thing that we're supposed to do.

Are you PIAR today Loops? How are the sensations compared to previous cycles?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/08/2016 07:41

I'm almost tempted to iron the crib sheets, but not quite!
The painting wasn't strenuous, but I won't do the 2nd coat today as mrb has just taken the car in for service, so today would not be a good day for him to need to rush home and take me to the hospital.

I ordered some more wool yesterday for my next blanket, I think I need to make a smaller one to use over the car seat. I bought this hopefully it's nice, I like the colours anyway! Though most projects on ravelry seem to be dishcloths Hmm why would you crochet a dishcloth?

I spoke to my mum last night about mine and my brother's births, we were both born in the middle of the night, dad was at home (through choice!) so didn't know until he turned up at visiting time the next morning. Possibly not so unusual for the 70s but mrb is going to be with me whether he likes it or not!

OP posts:
Imps9 · 23/08/2016 08:00

They're lovely colours Beedles. Yes, I often wonder why one would crochet a dishcloth. Can you post an update of your blanket? Are you still enjoying the rest and relaxation?

My mum had CS for both me and my sister and my dad wasn't allowed in during the surgery but as mum was under GA he was the first to see/hold us. Mr Imps isn't looking forward to the birth as he's v squeamish (he feels queasy when he sees my bump move Grin) but I think he will surprise himself and be absolutely fine.

keepitgoing · 23/08/2016 08:23

Brooking for good lines today loopy

What beautiful colours beedle. Is it tomorrow you're having your check up?

imps I never iron a single thing either. When we lived in Zambia we our maid ironed everything including pants as there was some sort of fly that laid its eggs in things otherwise... It was rather nice to be so kempt for once!

I have my 34 weeks mw appt on Friday. Hoping baby is head down, and think it is now. Also have a proper day off on Thursday and can not WAIT

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/08/2016 09:15

Oh yes imps not bored yet! Though I was slightly annoyed with mrb yesterday when he decided he was really tired when he got home from work and went to bed for a nap. I'd been at home all day alone and wanted some company!

Yes keep I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow, she will have access to my notes from the hospital so hopefully I can ask her stuff. I think babybeedle is transverse, I think I can feel a head over to my right.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/08/2016 09:23

Meant to post this but got distracted by a fb message!

The one where the BROOKERS make babies and blankets and hats and other crochet stuff!
OP posts:
keepitgoing · 23/08/2016 10:04

This one was transverse at 28 weeks. I'm not convinced it's on a brilliant position now as I feel the hiccups a bit higher than I'd expect to. But find it v hard to tell head from bum!

Love your blanket, you clever thing!

Imps9 · 23/08/2016 10:24

I have no idea what position B-B is in. I mainly feel movements below my right boob and diagonally downwards from there (so to the left of my belly button) - what position would that likely be? I have no idea how to tell the difference between a bottom, head, arm or leg!

Imps9 · 23/08/2016 10:25

Oh, and that blanket is fab Beedles! Love it!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/08/2016 10:40

I'm only assuming it's a head as I mainly feel kicks over towards the other side. Almost all movements are across the lower half, I hardly ever feel anything more than about an inch above my belly button, definitely no kicks in the ribs. Though maybe it would be too soon for that, I'm not complaining anyway!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/08/2016 10:51

My baby needs this right?
