Rainy sorry to hear about those awful symptoms. I hope they ease up for you.

DizzyN I'm just into it, 28+4 but it's not too far away. How are you keeping?

Boris how are you keeping? You must be close to due date?

Hope everyone is keeping well

Xx

Borisisback · 17/11/2016 07:33

Kellz I'm due Monday. Can hardly beleive it....

Rainy34 · 18/11/2016 21:13

Thanks Kelz i did find the last time i took clomid my period pain was a lot worse than normal, how are you getting on?

Boris i can't believe your due date is so close, your pregnancy has gone so quick, you must be so excited!!!

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 19/11/2016 01:54

Rainy I'm sorry the clomid didn't help this month. Is it in January that you're back to the doctors?

Wow Boris, that's wonderful that your due date is soon - I hope everything goes quickly for you, and you'll soon be on telling us you've had your bumsnet baby!

DizzyN 9 weeks! Great that all is going well; not too long until you have a scan I guess (though it probably feels like forever!)

I hope you're also keeping well DizzyM, Magpie and Kellz?

I'm currently on holiday count down - only four weeks and we're off to Europe - hooray!

Just dropping in to see how everyone is doing?
Rainy sorry the clomid didn't work this time but it's good that it extended your cycle! The most horrific period I ever had was the one where I first ovulated but didn't conceive on clomid, got my BFP with DS1 the next cycle though!

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and can't wait for baby to be here!

Kellz92 · 08/12/2016 10:25

Oh Boris is there a baby here yet?

Rainy that's horrible to hear, I hope it wasn't too bad! I'm not too bad waddling on!!

Genghis I'm getting there, seen neurologist but she's not doing anything until baby is here, my grandad also passed last week so it's been difficult but baby is fine! Enjoy your holiday!

Magpie not long for you left. I'm 32 weeks on Saturday roll on Feb but midwife thinks I'll go early, here's hoping!! Xx

MagpieCursedTea · 08/12/2016 11:08

Really sorry to hear about your Grandad Kellz Sad

Kellz92 · 09/12/2016 00:17

Thanks magpie, it was expected but we thought he was waiting for baby xx

DizzyNorthernBird · 09/12/2016 18:51

Sorry to hear about your grandad kellz

Not long for you now magpie, hasn't time flown? How exciting!

As for me, I'll be 14 weeks on Monday however I had a shock the other day when the screening lab called me with my results and told me I'm 1:13 chance of baby having either Edwards or patau's syndromes Sad (I'm thinking patau's rather than Edwards as we were told at 12 week scan that baby looked really healthy, but unfortunately patau's babies rarely go full term and if they do they tend to die shortly after birth). We've ended up forking out for an Iona screen before deciding whether to go for a cvs or amniocentesis. Horrible decision to be faced with and heartbreaking after ttc for so long. I won't get the results back of Iona until next Thursday so I'm currently in limbo but trying to stay positive for baby's sake. Keep trying to remind myself that 1:13 is better than 90% chance baby will be fine but then I scare myself reading stuff on Google! (I've banned it for now lol).

Anyway, sorry if this was a depressing post. Will keep you updated. Whatever will be will be hey. X

Rainy34 · 10/12/2016 22:05

Kelz sorry to hear about your Grandad, my thoughts are with you!!

Dizzy I just dont know what to say my love, but iv got my fingers crossed that you go onto have a happy healthy baby, I know it must be so hard not to google but until you get the results you could be scaring yourself, I'm thinking of you and will check back in to see how you get on!!

MagpieCursedTea · 11/12/2016 14:38

DizzyN I'm so sorry you're going though that, it's so unfair after everything you've been through already. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you and you should definitely stay away from Google! There should be some kind of google ban for pregnant women anyway.

DizzyNorthernBird · 12/12/2016 11:09

Thanks rainy and magpie, it's only a few days until the results should come through so I've been keeping myself busy and I'm feeling much more positive for now. I can actually discuss it with DP now without bursting into tears. Maybe I've slipped into denial, who knows. Everyone keeps telling me how shockingly bad the screening method used by the nhs is....hopefully on this occasion they've got it wrong too.

eskimoflo · 12/12/2016 23:01

Just jumping on to send DizzyN masses of good wishes and thoughts. So sorry that you're having to go through this, especially after trying for so long. I'll be thinking of you on Thursday and keeping everything crossed that all is OK. Flowers x x x

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 13/12/2016 04:33

Oh, DizzyN, sorry to read your news, and good luck for Thursday. I'm glad you're feeling more positive - everything is crossed that it'll be good news - I'll be thinking of you.xxx

Sorry to read about your grandad Kellz, and that the neurologist didn't prescribe anything. Did you get migraines before you were pregnant?

Wow Magpie, you must be nearly 37 weeks now - it feels like your pregnancy flew by (not for you probably!!)

Waves to Rainy and Eskimo.

Thinking of you today DizzyN, hope all goes well!

Rainy34 · 15/12/2016 12:43

Wishing you well today dizzy

DizzyNorthernBird · 15/12/2016 15:39

Thanks everyone, I got my results through this morning, I'm low risk for all three syndromes Smile, 1 in 1 million chance of baby having one of them according to Iona. Such a relief but I'm quite angry now about how I've had this hanging over me for 10 days for nothing, all because of the crappy nhs combined test. If we ever decide to ttc again in future I'll be saving up in advance for a private screening, sod the nhs! I only just found out that they've only been testing for Edwards and patau's for about 6 months so I have no idea on what basis they're projecting their risk factors?! If I was someone who didn't have access to available money to fork out for a private screening I could easily have put my baby at risk of miscarriage from invasive testing because of their shoddy screening Angry

I may however require extra monitoring later on in the pregnancy as I'm low for one of the hormones which can mean the baby will be small/preterm, but that will just mean I'll get extra scans to make sure there aren't any issues.

Anyway, I shall go back to enjoying being pregnant now Grin

Thank you all for your thoughts!

Rainy34 · 15/12/2016 20:47

That's fantastic newsDizzy you must be so pleased

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 15/12/2016 22:21

MagpieCursedTea · 16/12/2016 12:27

That's a massive relief for you, fantastic stuff! Completely understand the anger though, it's not a great system. Go and enjoy that pregnancy, you really deserve it!

Rainy34 · 18/12/2016 20:32

Hi everyone,
we went out to lunch with our friends today and they told us that they are expecting there second child , when they were expecting there first baby was when we started trying, i am pleased for them but i can't stop crying, i felt like someone had slapped me in the face, its so easy for people to get pregnant, and we just are at a stand still, we are due to be put on ivf waiting list in april, we have started to question if we can afford a baby, life sucks so much at times,

sorry for the depressing post

MagpieCursedTea · 19/12/2016 06:35
