Ah ok thanks for the info I really appreciate it:) good luck with trying to conceive and hope you get your first sticky little bean as soon as possible xx

satsooma · 22/09/2016 22:36

Hi Milly! I got some initial fertility tests (bloods, ultrasound etc.) and meds (metformin) from my GP. They ran out of ideas after that and referred me to the fertility clinic. A fertility clinic should be able to help you even if you have a child already. They can't fund IVF, but there are plenty of other treatments to try. GP is definitely the place to start though.

Who knows about OPKs? I gather they aren't recommended for women with PCOS, because we have high LH levels, which leads to lots of false positives.

But I'm thinking that, as long as there aren't more false negatives than normal, they could still be pretty useful. I guess I would just have to test every day from say CD12 until AF shows up.

Millykb · 23/09/2016 16:23

I have PCOS and haven't had a positive ovulation test ever... So not sure. X

KBookworm · 23/09/2016 17:49

I don't have a monthly cycle so I've started testing every day, pretty terrified none of them will come up positive... I've only done 4 and all neg so far Sad

bluebird3 · 23/09/2016 19:50

Does anyone have a regular bleed and also PCOS? Blood tests show i don't ovulate an just wondering if I could have PCOS or something else but I have regular 28-29 day bleed?

KBookworm · 23/09/2016 20:20

Do you have other symptoms like excess hair growth? High bmi of trouble losing weight?

KBookworm · 23/09/2016 20:20

Or*

Millykb · 23/09/2016 20:46

Bluebird that's a tricky one as usually with PCOS you have irregular or absent periods. So not sure if you have regular cycles that may be another problem. Have you tried Soy isoflavones they are supposed to be like a natural cloned. Take them on days 3-7 of your cycle thry are suposed to trigger ovulation ;/ why are bodies so difficult xx

Millykb · 23/09/2016 20:47

Clomid not clones lol

Modestandatinybitsexy · 24/09/2016 08:30

I tried opks and only came up with negatives.

I used to be regular about 28-30 days but my cycles have sometimes gone haywire. I do normally have a monthly bleed, I just can't rely on exactly when she'll show up.

On another note. If I've poas and no lines have come up what that actual fuck does that mean? I'm currently feeling pretty defective if I can't even poas right Sad

Millykb · 24/09/2016 09:06

modestandatinybitsexy I'm not entirely sure... Do you mean that you don't even get a faint line when doing ovulation tests? I've attached a picture this is the dArkest one of my tests has ever been.... So this confuses me also, it never seems to get any darker than this and I've been doing them for weeks.

And this :/ these are the darkest I get its SO frustrating, on a positive for you if you tend to have quite regular cycles and have a monthly bleed then it's more than likely that you ovulate at some point. Maybe book in the GP and explain? They may do blood tests to check you are ovulating. I have pre booked an app for 8th October as I know I probably won't have my period by then and I'll be on like a 100 day cycle!

Life is fucking cruel. Friends of ours have gone through IVF at the end of June beginning of July and got pregnant. Had several bleeds before the 8 week scan and made it to the 12 week scan. Told at their 12 week scan that the fluid behind babies neck was 6mm and very likely to have severe abnormalities and it was likely she wouldn't carry the baby to term. They had more tests done and were waiting for the results to come back and we got a message this morning telling us she lost the baby yesterday. SadSadSadSadSad she was around 14 weeks.
I am heartbroken for them and I can't believe how unlucky they've been. They deserve a family and now they have to go home with nothing.

Oh boggle that's so so heartbreaking :( one of my best friends lost her baby at 36 weeks, life can be really really cruel can't it, I hope that your friend gets another sticky baby soon, not that it will take away her grief of loosing this baby. Honestly it can be so cruel and does put my situation into perspective ... Xx

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/09/2016 10:58

I just feel so so utterly heartbroken. We went through the journey with them and supported them and now they're at home grieving and there's nothing I can do to fix it Sad
