Fantastic news!! That must have been such a wonderful feeling, congratulations!! :D

RobberBride · 21/09/2016 21:47

Thanks so much everyone. As Moomin says, good old geriatric lady piss!

I just don't believe it, I keep thinking I must have faulty tests or it will be a chemical pregnancy. DH has confiscated my sticks and is doling out one a day to stop me driving myself crazy by POAS all the time. I'll keep lurking on the thread and update you if there's any news.

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/09/2016 08:03

I'm sure everything will be just fine robber, totally normal to feel nervous though, after the journey you've been through to get here.

I'm 7dpo today and starting to feel nervous. A bit heavy down there too, almost crampy but not quite. Eep. Can't stand this waiting xxx

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 22/09/2016 12:20

Ladies, I'm starting to have a melt down about testing. I was so positive and now I'm just nervous xxx

OP posts:
KBookworm · 22/09/2016 18:49

I know it must be really hard to wait, especially since you probably spend 90% of your day watching for tiny twinges which might lead to cramps or something.

Maybe go for a movie or something?

A friend of mine at work used to say whenever it got busy 'just remember, everyone, time passes!' And that's always helped me... time will pass eventually.

Do you get a monthly period? I don't :(

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/09/2016 19:51

I've only been having AF if clomid hasn't worked or I've used provera to induce it. Otherwise, I've had 2 natural periods in 2 years Confused

Really, I should be sensible and test next Saturday after my friends baby shower. That's if AF doesn't turn up in the meantime.

OP posts:
KBookworm · 22/09/2016 20:13

Ah, right. Sorry I don't know all of the short codes for things yet!

It's really interesting talking to people with pcos because I have no idea how things work as I've no experience yet. So, on the months you are taking clomid you get a usual cycle? I'm concerned a doctor wouldn't prescribe me that as my bmi is high (I'm trying to lose weight every week, but I think I'll always have a higher bmi than doctors like!) do you mind me asking what your bmi is? I've seen people say their doctor would prescribe it if bmi is over 30.

I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for you that you get a bfp next sat xx

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/09/2016 20:27

No worries k, ask away if there's anything you want to know.

Yeah, clomid with metformin gives me a "normal" cycle. I am pretty sure I have insulin resistant pcos. Clomid at the highest dose on its own did nothing. Add in metformin at a built up dose, and bob's your uncle.
My bmi is 26.

satsooma · 22/09/2016 20:33

oh Boggle it must be so hard to have to wait. I agree with K, you need to find a way to distract yourself. Is your job the sort that keeps your mind distracted, or are you just sitting there feeling the minutes tick by?

Can you get out of the house in the evenings? Go visit friends/family? Take up some random sport or hobby, just for the hell of it?

KBookworm · 22/09/2016 20:37

Ah so your bmi is in the healthy range, that's great! I don't think I'll ever get mine there! I take 3 metformin a day but have only started doing so recently, it's had no effect on my none existent cycle. I'm really paranoid that I don't ovulate either :(

Perhaps if you did some light swimming you might find some muscles a bit achy tomorrow and it might stop you from thinking every twinge you feel is bad news?

If you haven't seen it yet the new Bridget jones is absolutely hilarious! We have a cineworld membership and go all the time, great for getting out of the house.

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/09/2016 20:58

It's ok, I've got a fair few things to keep me busy over the next week but of course, I'll keep thinking about it. Just cos this is the closest I've come in 2 years.

My bmi is just over healthy. Healthy is 18-24. I've been going to weight watchers and the gym to try and get my bmi in the healthy zone. I did it two years ago when we got married but I piled on all the weight again and more after. It's hard, especially for pcos women. Slowly but surely though xxx

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/09/2016 21:01

Metformin take time build up on your system so if you've not been taking it long, it might not do much now. Took 3 months to really make the difference with the clomid for me xxx

Thanks Eskimo. Keep the photos coming, he is very very gorgeous!

Boggle, if it helps, I found this really useful - stats on which dpo women get an accurate pregnancy test result. It got me through to 13dpo: www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/When-can-I-expect-a-positive-HPT-if-I-am-pregnant.html

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/09/2016 21:49

Thanks robber, that's useful. I was try and keep my cool until next Wednesday at the very least. I'd be 13dpo then xxx

Hi all, I am here for a bit of advice and wondered if any of you
Lovely ladies can help. I am ttc number 2, I have a lovely 18 month old boy and when I was ttc him I was diagnosed with PCOS only small cysts, anyway I managed to conceive naturally with the help of Agnus castus the first time round. I wrote down my cycle lengths when trying to conceive the first time round and they ranged from 34-36 days and then had one LONG cycle of 90 days! Anyway to cut a long story short before you all get mega bored, I have been off birth control pill from 1st July, had one bleed and have had nothing since . I have done numerous pregnancy tests and all negative, and doing Ovulation tests and haven't had a positive yet. It's really getting me down, I'm just looking for a bit of reassurance really and any tips to get AF to arrive so I can start a fresh cycle. I have tried soy isoavones and this hasn't worked... Help fellow PCOS sufferers please xxconfused

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/09/2016 21:57

I would suggest popping your Dr milky, they can prescribe you provera (type of progesterone) to induce a bleed. Xx

Millykb · 22/09/2016 22:02

Thank you @youbogglemymind can you get that through your GP then? I'm feeling so down :( xx

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/09/2016 22:24

I got them through the Fertilty clinic but I'm sure if you spoke to your GP and explained, they may be able to help. Chin up lovely. Well get there xx

OP posts:
Millykb · 22/09/2016 22:29

Ah ok, has anyone on here got any fertility meds from their GP or did you have to be referred to a fertility specialist? I feel so blessed to have my little boy but would really love another child so there isn't a big age gap. Do you have any kids xxx

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/09/2016 22:30

I'm not sure about others, I know have to start with your GP and get referred on.
No, I don't have any children, we've been trying for our first since July 2014 xx
