line on superdrug early pregnancy test

Hi I think AF is due tomorrow but took a superdrug test today as have been feeling sick on and off all day. (I know this could be completely unrelated) the instructions said to read the test within 3 minutes but after 4ish minutes a faint line started to appear. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this? It was dipped for the correct amount of time ect and this didn't happen to the one I took 2 days ago (same brand). Should I just dismiss it? I only have 2 digital tests left now , which aren't as sensitive and no chance of getting any more for a few days. I'll try and attach some pictures.

Don't dismiss it, a similar thing happened to me! Tested a couple of days before AF was due and it looked negative (Tesco test). Looked again a few hours later and there was a very faint line, the result of which is currently trying to crawl into the kitchen because he thinks I can't see him...

Good luck OP!

Nishky · 02/07/2016 18:11

Yes my line came up after the time given for the test- she isa teenager now- and my line was much much fainter than that!

pinkieandperkie · 02/07/2016 18:13

Definitely see a line Smile

AlwaysNeverOnTime · 02/07/2016 18:15

But the instructions say not to take any notice of it if it's after 3 mins. So confused! I know I'll just have to wait a few days and test again by it just seems soooo long!

CatsCantFlyFast · 02/07/2016 18:18

That's a positive. I thought the instructions said read after 3 mins but not beyond 10

AlwaysNeverOnTime · 02/07/2016 18:18

Hang on I'm going to check again.

Clear positive! Your line is much darker than mine was. Congratulations Flowers

AlwaysNeverOnTime · 02/07/2016 18:26

Test results must be read within 5 minutes. A negative result which may change to positive after 5 minutes is not an accurate reading.

I guess I'll just have to wait a few more days to know for sure. Has anyone had a positive after the time limit and not been pregnant?

I would say positive too! Il attach mine for you to see as mine were same brand. Mine also took about 4 minutes to appear at 10dpo. See my 11dpo and 13dpo to show how quickly they got darker. I think you would probably get a positive on a digital tomorrow, hcg increases quite quickly. I'm nearly 18 weeks now. I'm going to say a tentative congratulations! X

Thanks for those pictures sunnydays. I'm glad your test turned out to be a real positive. I don't want to get too hopeful. I caved and did the digital but it was negative. But I was expecting that. I'm going to test again on Monday I think.

Digital tests aren't very sensitive anyway.

AlwaysNeverOnTime · 03/07/2016 07:21

I took an Internet cheapie today using fmu but it was negative. I've woken up feeling really sick again.

I looked at the test from yesterday again this morning and it's now a thick dark pink line.

Eminybob · 03/07/2016 08:50

I used a superdrug one and I nearly threw the test away as I thought it was negative, then the line came up after around 5 mins. DS is 2 now Smile

AlwaysNeverOnTime · 03/07/2016 09:10

Thanks eminybob. That gives me a bit of hope!

That is most definitely a positive - congrats!

MrsGsnow18 · 03/07/2016 16:49

Very clear positive there!! I def think the Internet cheapie a don't show up as soon even though they are supposed to be sensitive. Congratulations!! Flowers

AlwaysNeverOnTime · 04/07/2016 20:57

I've been reading loads online about false positives with clear blue plus tests so now I'm worried I'm not actually pregnant. I brought some asda tests (which are more sensitive that CB) and there was only a very very faint line. I'll try get a picture but it's that faint I doubt it will show up. I'm worried that if I am pregnant, it's a chemical pregnancy Sad

AlwaysNeverOnTime · 04/07/2016 21:01

I'm not sure it will show up.
