Mrs congratulations! Keep on the cyclogest and keep positive, don't read into the things and don't use doctor google! Hoping you having a boring 9 months!

Friendly when do you start? Sunshine hope you're ok, what's the update? X

I'm ok thanks Mascara, trying to stay positive though it seems to be getting harder tbh. But getting closer to the right weight so I can hopefully start with IVF too. How are you getting on with being a mummy?

Now this is a bit random, but I just wanted to mention to you all that by chance I came across a few articles saying that hibiscus in fruit/herbal tea should be strongly avoided when ttc / pregnant. I've just had a check through my cupboards and am surprised that nearly all my fruity teas contain this. Just thought it was worth a mention x

I still had pink spotting Mrs with the cyclogest so don't worry, like you said I think having the mindset that all is out of your control and having faith in your body to do the hard work. Keep positive and the mind busy until 12 weeks is my advice.

Sunshine good to hear you're getting there with your weight. Interesting about the hibiscus too. I've heard a lot about herbal teas being a big no no during pregnancy too.

We are doing well thank you. He is just over two weeks now. Grateful every time I look at
him. Pretty much recovered from the emcs X

It lasted a couple of days, I was fairly crampy too at times. I asked for an early confirmation scan at 6/7 weeks, I said to my gp I'd been spotting and given my history they got me one in the hospital. Also had a private one booked at 9 weeks for my own reassurance. Xx

I'd wait until the 7 weeks (even if you are a bit further), they will be able to see more. At 6 weeks it will be questionable and just make you anxious.

With the CB you double it as you always +2 weeks, so you must be 4-5 weeks pregnant.

How's everyone else getting on? X

Mrs Sad thinking of you. Take some time out and update us when you're ready. Take care.

Friendlycav · 04/08/2016 13:16

Very sorry to hear this Mrs and really hope the bleed is nothing to worry about. I've read so often that people bleed thinking they've miscarried and all works out fine so keeping everything crossed the same applies to you and you have nothing to worry about Flowers

I have started my cycle of IVF at the Lister. I've had about 10 days of using a nasal spray (3 times a day) to down regulate and had my first injection yesterday, thankfully DH was home and he was able to do the injection for me, I'm dreading self injecting but the needle is very small so I really need to just get over it! Sunshine, I'll give you a full review of the process and how many times I needed to go to the hospital at the end of this cycle of that's ok as will be easier for you to follow than me sending you messages on here piecemeal.

Mascara, hope you are recovering ok. Does emcs mean emergency Caesarian? It must be an amazing feeling to finally hold your little boy x

sunshinegirl12 · 04/08/2016 17:33

Mrs, try to stay positive, I have also seen so many people say they have a bleed in the early days as so many people just assume its there period, but then go on to have a healthy pregnancy. Keeping my fx for you.

Wow Friendly, that was a quick start with the IVF, have you had any side effects from the nasal spray/injections? What is the injection for and how long do you think will need to have them for? ...so many questions x

Well hopefully if it was just a small amount everything will be fine. Could you maybe ask for a blood test in the mean time to check your hormone levels are increasing as they should be? x

It's a horrible situation to be in Mrs but all is out of your control so sit back and try to relax until after the weekend. I agree with the others if it was a little bleed and not ongoing then all may be fine, I really hope it is. The CB test saying 2/3 is a positive sign.

Friendly yes sorry, it was an emergency section. Long story but basically being induced didn't work after a long four days of trying, they broke my waters and got labour started artificially... Fast forward 12 hours in labour, baby distressed, turned, found out he was actually a big baby and next thing I know i was given a section. Section went really well and I wish they'd just done it three days earlier! He is our little blessing and is now 3 weeks and a chunky 9lb.

All the best with the IVF friendly, sounds like quite hard work but another exciting development. Sunshine I hope you can begin soon x

Hi ladies, I've been lurking on this thread for about a year - I'd been ttc 6 months and thought I had a short lp. I stopped posting when I realised it was 12/13 days but carried on lurking for some reason. Anyway, I just wanted to pop on to say to friendly if you aren't on a thread with people doing ivf and fancy some support then there's a thread I'm on called ttc 10 months plus and there are lots of knowledgeable ladies on there most of whom are going through or been through ivf. I'm expecting to start in October too (ttc 20 months now, fine lp but dodgy sperm Sad). Obviously if you're on a different thread or would rather not then no problem at all. Smile

MrsY87 · 08/08/2016 19:36

Hi, hope you don't mind me posting.
We've been ttc #2 since March and I've been having short cycles, longest at 25 days. Using opks has shown me my luteal phase is around 8-10 days which seems too short. I've been reading a bit about using acupuncture to try and improve the Luteal phase and was wondering if anyone has had any success using acupuncture?

Mrs did you have a scan? I have everything crossed for you! Xx

MrsY87 · 11/08/2016 20:02

Congratulations Mrs and thanks for taking time to reply. After a bit more research ive booked myself an acupuncture appointment, so good to hear you think it helped you. Obviously no guarantee it will work for me but figure if nothing else it might help reduce my stress levels and help me relax!

Everything crossed for a healthy pregnancy for you! Smile
