Hi guys... here we are, shiny new thread for all those TTC while breast-feeding or recently weaned (for pumpkin and I!!)

come on over!

I guess for me the nerves are less about having two children but more because I'm having the Best Time Ever with my DD who is a dream. I'm just so blissed out by our time together that suddenly throwing another baby in the mix - meaning she's suddenly joint top priority - seems quite daunting. However I know a sibling would be a wonderful gift for her!

In annoying fashion I got a fixed smiley today (yay!) but am working this evening (boo) then we're off on hols tomorrow, leaving the house around midday (so no nap-time DTD) for a long-haul flight with PIL. So I think it's highly unlikely we'll make the most of it. But it's a good sign for next month!

jooni with OPKs you have to use them a few times a day - I think! Hope you get some signs soon.

napping fx for some good ovulation signs for you soon! I am still not at all broody / jealous of pregnant ladies. I definitely was before getting pregnant with DD though so I remember that urge!

lullaby hoping its implantation - you never know! Which would make the most sense in terms of your cycle?

Fully weaned here and getting lots and lots of ewcm so fingers crossed that I maybe gearing up for ovulation. lullaby, fingers crossed for you. Having said I wasn't in a massive hurry the first second pregnancy of our nct group has been announced and I got very definite pangs of.jealousy!! Lots of them are currently ttc so its only going to get worse!

Well done on the weaning boat it all sounds very promising too for ovulation !
I'm on cycle day 23 or 28 due to a very strange AF , just hoping that AF dosent turn up this time but I'm getting all the griping feelings and if I did ovulate it would have been this Friday / Saturday so don't think it's going to be my month oh well roll on September

boatrace Great news! Hopefully this is it. There's a lady from my NCT group due #2 in early October! Her DD will be 13 months when the new baby arrives I really hoped I'd be pregnant by the time she delivered but I don't think it's going to happen this cycle, never mind. I'm sure with all the babies turning one now or next month, other friends will be TTC again too. I'm definitely broody!

Pumkin Hopefully its not AF yet. So frustrating not knowing what's going on!

Napping How are you getting on?

I've had a really stressful couple of days due to teething and insomnia (me and DD, boo), and all the positive signs I was getting have kind of ground to a halt. I'm still getting a tiny bit of EWCM and faint lines on OPKs, but no progress for a few days Trying not to stress about it even more though, hopefully it will just push O back a few days and that will be that. I've always been really sensitive to stress and extra exercise and stuff when it comes to my cycle. So frustrating, hope it doesn't put us out of the running this month.

Haha, well the insomnia was both of us - the teething was all DD!

Managed a quickly between finishing packing and lunch So I guess I'm now in my first 2WW. Eek.

Its easy to say but try to relax and forget about what's going on inside you Jooni. Sorry you're not sleeping.

Nothing much to report here. I got a clear line but negative OPK last night so things are going in the right direction. DTD this morning before we left for work at 7 Last time we had sex that time of day I'm sure we must have been drunk and not gone to bed yet.

Still spotting & heavier so pretty sure it's AF making an early appearance, disappointing but at least I can drown my sorrows on this holiday! LP seems to be all over the place, oh well onto cycle 4.

My sympathies jooni I have a very jetlagged boy here who was up almost every hour last night and won't nap for more than 40 mins, it's going to be a tough few days til it passes! He's been BFing loads more than usual too which is not ideal but can't really blame him...

Day 30 or 25 here really crampy expect AF to turn up any moment. Sposed to be going out tomorrow night ( first time ever since lo was born) so might get a first response today if no AF n do a quick test Saturday am to be on safe side I do t expect much tho don't think I even ovulated

Negative test from me today very painful cramps now just got to wait for AF to turn up
oh well on wards and upwards for September

CD17 and still no positive OPK but have EWCM. I've never had a positive OPK but I've always been a bit haphazard doing then so I'm trying to do them more consistently this month. Feel a bit like I'm never going to get a positive!

napping are you doing them several times a day? Seems like a PITA but I've heard of people doing like 3/4 tests a day and catching the spike that way. Though if you're able to DTD fairly regularly anyway maybe worry less about OPKs? ( easier said than done with a 16mo though! )

We're on hols which is lovely. If clearblue is to be believed I'm 3dpo.

I've been doing them twice a day this month so hoping I'll catch the surge. I usually feel ovulation so it's just to confirm really and try and catch it early. We can DTD regularly but not as regularly as I might like for efficiency - prob more like twice a week rather than every other day, so just want to make sure we catch the right days.

Good luck Napping and Oracle, and commiserations Pumkin. Still very little going on here unfortunately - so frustrating after I was having really positive signs a few days before expected O. I'm feeling more relaxed but I think I'm going to take a bit of time out of this thread until O has safely passed haha. The less I think about it the more likely things are to happen! Hopefully I'll check back in soon

Positive OPK this morning - my first ever! Will do another this pm to see if it gets any darker but the test line was as dark as the control this morning so I'll take that. Interested to see how long until ov cramping it is.

How is everyone getting on?

Hi. I haven't posted since my query re opk. Hope everyone is well. It was a bfn for me in July so tried again this month. Only got two flashing smilies before a solid which caught me off guard as I'd got seven flashers in June before getting a solid. Anyway I am 14dpo today. Have had a few twinges where I thought af was coming but no sign yet. Anyway curiosity got the better of me and I did a frer at lunch and no sign of a second line at all so looks like I'm out. I drank about three pints of water over morning so maybe it was too dilute but I'd expect a squinter at least at 14dpo so perhaps I'm grasping at straws. Only month two so I should be more patient!

Well it turns out that fully weaning was the answer. AF turned up today. Never been so pleased to see it!
