Back from holiday and catching up with the thread. Sorry to everyone who is having frustrating cycles. Still getting ewcm on and off but no sign of AF or a bfp. So reluctantly have started to fully wean. I thought it would be easy as often dd isn't that bothered, but it turns out she is and has been distraught every evening. Sad. It's horrible. On another note, can anyone recommend a good app for iPhone for fertility tracking. I had one I really liked but just changed to an iPhone.

lullaby23 · 09/08/2016 09:57

Thanks pumkin as it was 14/15 days last month I have no idea if it will change back!

Oh no boatrace how upsetting for you and DD I'm sorry she is finding it difficult and hope you can both get through it the best as possible Sad

Fertility Friend is the best app imho, I think it is more reliable compared to Ovia and Glow provided you temp and opk, it works out the ovulation date properly. The others tended to jump around a bit which was annoying. also as so many women use it they have a lot of data to analyse and you can compare charts that are similar to yours. However that said it is not the prettiest or the most user friendly! Also it doesn't really work until you have your first AF dates to enter (although you could fudge it) which put me off before my cycles returned.

Jooni · 09/08/2016 10:33

lullaby Great news Grin Sounds like your cycle is spot-on at the moment, now just to wait and see! As Pumkin said, you've done all you can now.

Glad you've bounced back from your Angus experiment. I'm keeping a close eye on things this cycle compared to last to see if AC + B6 is worth continuing with for me - I don't want to be doing more harm than good! Confused I've been taking both for 2 cycles so far and have O'd earlier and had a longer LP by several days each time, but that could just be time and reduced bfing. I'm still taking both for now but sticking to the lower doses, and if there's not much progress this cycle then I think I'll stop the supps and try going au naturel. It's encouraging to hear that if I do decide to stop, things return to "normal" quickly!

Boatrace Hugs to you, it's an emotional time. You've done amazingly well so far, and will continue to do so. Don't be too hard on yourself.

TheOracleAtSelfie · 10/08/2016 20:49

Oops, I keep dropping off the thread.

Nothing much to report, cd 10. Flashing smiley on digi OPK but I got that last month without ovulating (I think) so not holding my breath but will be interesting to see what happens.

Hope everyone is ok.

lullaby23 · 11/08/2016 05:43

jooni I'm sure I read somewhere that vitamin b6 is a good all round vitamin for conception i don't think it would do any harm? AC works for lots of people and it sounds like you're getting benefits with your LP lengthening.

How are you & dd doing boatrace?

Any ovulation signs yet pumkin?

Took DS for 15m check up and he's put on a kilo since 12m Shock so am not at all concerned that dropping his feeds has affected him now!!

How is everyone?

boatrace30 · 11/08/2016 07:51

Hi lullaby. Much better night last night, so think she is getting used to it. Will drop the morning feed at the weekend which will be hard but more DHs problem... I can stay in bed while he gets up and distracts her Wink

NappingRabbit · 11/08/2016 08:14

Glad things are going better boatrace

Jooni I've also bought some B6 to take this cycle. Will see how things go!

CD7 here, the calm before the storm. I usually ovulate around CD18-20 so just waiting it out.

Pumkinpie1 · 11/08/2016 10:47

Hi lullaby not on the clearblue but physically things look like I could be. Just keep trying to dtd every other day on the off chance lol
Glad your lo is doing well off the feeds too lullaby, and keep us updated

Good luck with dropping the feed Boatrace, so glad your lo is starting to settle so hard weaning !

I might get some B6 too, jooni, I take a multi vitamin at the min so will check it's not already in.
I hate the wait to ovulation napping it's seems like such a long wait, got my fingers crossed for you x

lullaby23 · 12/08/2016 03:10

sounds like a great plan boatrace she can have a nice big breakfast while you have a snooze! am noting this one for future reference!

napping hate the waiting hope you have a busy weekend to distract yourself.

pumpkin sounds positive and you're doing all you can to catch the elusive egg!

TheOracleAtSelfie · 13/08/2016 18:33

Is anyone else feeling wobbly about having a second (or more) DC?

I know I would like to have two children who are close enough in age that they can share interests. But the thought of having a second baby anytime soon still fills me with... dread. How did you know? DH is convinced but I'm still not. Wondering if I'm going to need to put my heart in it to start ovulating again! (Day 4 of passive aggressive flashing smiley face Smile)

Abrahamkin · 13/08/2016 18:47

And! Given the all clear again! (with a...I'm not sure why you're here by the doctor!) Seems like it was all a misunderstanding. So TTC has been delayed by a month, but the coil should be out (fingers crossed!) end of August (doctor on holiday...but at least this coincides nicely with my cycles). Then hopefully start TTC round 2.

I'm a bit worried as my DS has started breastfeeding more than he used to since the holiday, and this month barely had any CM, though had plenty last few months.

BUt like you, TheOracle, I know I would like to start TTC as would like 2 kids close in age, but the memory of having a young baby is very daunting. In a way, wanting that time to be over and done with has helped with me deciding to start sooner rather than later.

NappingRabbit · 13/08/2016 20:06

Great news abrahamkin.

Oracle it doesn't fill me with dread, I am massively broody, but I have moments when DS is being particularly demanding when I really don't know how I would manage with a newborn as well. But then I see a tiny baby or pregnant woman and feel jealous so I'm sure the good will outweigh the bad.

boatrace30 · 13/08/2016 21:16

I know what you mean oracle and for that reason I'm nowhere near as stressed about ttc as I was with DD, but also want a close age gap, donor won't be long before I start stressing! Last feed this morning Sad. Very sad but bedtimes have improved hugely and I'm getting my first proper lie in for 14months tomorrow so every cloud... Also been massively stroppy/depressed this week which is rubbish but hoping it's a sign of some kind of hormonal activity!

Pumkinpie1 · 13/08/2016 22:55

I know what u mean oracle when my lo is not sleeping or having a paddy ( these are new since turning 15 months Confused) I do think oh dear how will I cope ! But then I think I have 9 months my lo will be totally different able to communicate more efficiently.

That's great news abrahamkin !
*
Napping,* im so glad it's not just me with pregnancy / baby envy.

It's so sad boat when weaning, I BF till 13 months luckily lo was fine with it, think it was me who missed it most . Enjoy your lie in , sounds like you and your lo have done really well BF for so long and weaning with good results !

Jooni · 15/08/2016 07:26

boat I had the hormone crash too, it doesn't last long. Glad to hear things are improving and you're getting some well-earned rest!

lullaby23 · 15/08/2016 11:28

oracle yes do have that worry especially as I live so far away from family atm but interspersed with "I might have secondary infertility or the gap will be too big for DS will never have a sibling" worries so a good mix. I definitely wanted #2 before I forgot how bad the lack of sleep is but I think it will still be a shock. At least I won't be so unsure of myself (I hope).

Good news abraham that official TTC can commence soon.

Pumkinpie1 · 16/08/2016 07:06

Any signs yet lullaby ? How early do u think you will test ?

lullaby23 · 16/08/2016 11:44

No symptoms at all not feeling very hopeful Sad if I can get my hands on a test on Friday I guess I will test on Saturday morning. Off on hols tonight and assuming BFN next FW is while we're away!

NappingRabbit · 16/08/2016 13:32

How many dpo are you lullaby? Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Nothing much to report here. CD12 so coming into the more interesting phase.

Jooni · 16/08/2016 15:03

You're not out till you're out, lullaby! I had no symptoms at all with DD, keeping fingers crossed for you.

Haha Napping, right behind you as ever, at CD11. Things definitely starting to happen (earlier than ever, yay! Grin), so I've started using OPKs since yesterday, for the first time. Going to try SMEP this cycle.

I actually have a question for those of you who use OPKs: do you get gradually darkening lines as you gear up to O, or is it blank and then suddenly positive? Nothing registering yet for me, but then I usually have 5+ days of EWCM so I'm guessing I'm still a little way off O Confused

lullaby23 · 16/08/2016 15:17

Thanks everyone! 9 DPO here. jooni I found I had faint lines which got darker but never seem to go as dark as the control line.

Good luck to those of you gearing up for FW! Trying to convince DH to do SMEP next cycle but think he might get stage fright!

Jooni · 16/08/2016 19:29

Thanks lullaby. Yesterday's OPK was totally blank but today's had a faint line, so I guess it's just a waiting game now.

lullaby23 · 17/08/2016 09:11

Faint line sounds promising hope it gets stronger for you.

Just started spotting so think I might be out this month Sad

lullaby23 · 17/08/2016 11:13

Or implantation spotting looking on the bright side ha!?

NappingRabbit · 17/08/2016 13:06

You never know lullaby - you're definitely not out yet.
