Sammy, I looked at my notes from my tww and on 7dpt I noted that I also had an af type headache so don't panic yet it doesn't necessarily mean it's af.

Itsme, as Sammy said the thaw rate for blasts is over 95% so I don't think you have much to worry about if you have to freeze one. All of my embryos are frozen at the moment as are most of the other ladies on this thread. We wouldn't have done it if we didn't think the success rate was very high. I don't think I've actually come across anyone at my clinic whose blast didn't survive the thaw.

OK, I didn't know that the % was so high! That's why I love this thread, you are all so supportive. Sorry for having a wobble..

I'll call the clinic anyway because day three is tomorrow so, I'll double check. He was pretty confident it was going to day five but I'll call anyway.

Not long until you can test sammy! FX for you! X

lucieloos · 11/07/2016 09:43

Good luck itsme, I'm sure all of your 5 will still be going strong tomorrow x

Borisisback · 11/07/2016 10:20

Sammy it's not surprising that you are feling side effects the hormone changes and stress will cause a reaction. x

Itsme to reiterate what lucie says the freezing process is pretty safe - almost as gaurenteeable as anything to do with ivf. I have three embies in the freezer in the Czech republic. I'm hoping after Brexit that I can find ways to get them European passports (after all they were created there).

Lots of love to all of you.

bananafish81 · 11/07/2016 11:19

itsme yep echoing all the ladies before. We did a freeze all cycle, electing to freeze all our embryos without a fresh transfer so we could do genetic testing

Frozen transfers are just as successful as fresh - in some centres even more so. Some Drs think the future of IVF is that all transfers will be frozen, as there is some evidence that the uterine environment may be more receptive as it's not disrupted by unnaturally high levels of hormones. As sammy says, if you have two at day 3 then you'll pop them both back - as day 5 is just a selection tool. I'm sure all yours will be going great guns!

sammy completely normal to feel hormonal - the progesterone is a bastard for side effects. It's the roughest, toughest, least fun rollercoaster imaginable!

Itsme247 · 11/07/2016 11:28

All 5 are doing well, three grade 1 and two at grade 2 all between 4-7 cells.

No idea what this means, don't really care. All I know is that they are dividing.. Phew!

Thanks for all your support again.

MPP81 · 11/07/2016 13:21

Hi all!

Apologies for th3 absence. House move is well underway. Most of our things are stuffed in a storage locker and we move out on Thursday! After that, I will have literally nothing to do til we move into our new house, so I'll be around alot more again!

I've had a catch up but as usual I'm on my phone and have a brain like a sieve!

Massive congratulations on being PUPO Sammy! I have everything crossed for you. I hope you're feeling ok now.

Brilliant news for you too, itsme! Everything crossed for you too!

Fab news on your decision this month Lucie. It all sounds very positive and as usual, you have a plan :)

Hope you're OK Banana!

waves to everyone else

AFM, we are currently deciding whether to go ahead with my next cycle or the one after due to some timing issues. I'm really hoping we can make it for this one, though another month won't be the end of the world after almost two years, I suppose. Also, I passed my uni exam Grin

loopylou1984 · 11/07/2016 19:35

Thanks Luncie. I wish I'd kept notes last time.

Itsme - you don't have to apologise for a wobble... Have you read my posts from the last few days? I sound ridiculous!

Nicely summed up banana. I don't like roller coasters at the best of times.

Itsme - great that they're all still going! Everything crossed for you.

Hi MPP, congratulations on passing your exam! Fx you can cycle ASAP. Xx

loopylou1984 · 11/07/2016 19:35

Luncie?? Lucie obviously!

lucieloos · 11/07/2016 19:43

Haha luncie Grin Yes thought I would start keeping notes as I was convinced it would be negative and then on my next round I would be able to look back and see all the symptoms I had on a negative round.

MPP, hello lovely. Posted to you on the ff forum. Hope you're ok. Brilliant a news on your exam and I'm sure you will be able to make this cycle.

Hi everyone, just checking in.

Sammy, keeping everything crossed for you, not long to go now.

Lucie, when do you get started on your mini IVF? I was having a bit of a meltdown at the weekend about folate/B12 levels (I seem to be fine for ages and then have a massive meltdown about something). I'm trying to get a GP appointment to ask to get mine checked. Had most of the blood tests my private clinic recommended done at my GP surgery so hopefully they will agree.

Banana, hope your scan on Friday shows a nice thick lining. Did you have the abdominal massage in the end? I decided to get in on the action as there is a place literally 2 minutes from me that does them and figured it was worth a shot...

Congratulations MPP Star

So pleased you were able to make the wedding Itsme and great that your embies are all going strong. Echoing what the others said re freezing.

Had our nurses appointment this morning and just need to call them when AF arrives at the end of the month.

lucieloos · 12/07/2016 11:42

Trixie, I have been wondering how you were getting on! That's great news that you can get started as soon as af arrives. I've ordered my b12/folate test online so it should arrive in the next couple of days. I hate going to my gp it takes weeks to get an appt or if you go on the day you have to wait around most of the morning to be seen so would just rather pay the money and get it done. I don't know what to expect really. I will have been taking the higher dose folic acid for 6 weeks so I don't know if that's long enough to replenish my supplies?!

We are due to start mini IVF when af arrives which I'm hoping will be this weekend. We also have our NHS treatment planning next Tuesday so hopefully I can sort a date to get that started as well. It's all systems go!

OP posts:
JustTrixie · 12/07/2016 12:02

I'm really lucky with my surgery Lucie it's a few weeks to wait for a booked appointment but there are often on the day appointments and they do the blood tests there. You would think 6 weeks would be long enough, it's a pretty high dose! Yay for all systems go Smile

lucieloos · 12/07/2016 14:43

I hope so trixie!

Itsme, any news on your embryos today?

OP posts:
MPP81 · 12/07/2016 15:36

Afternoon all!

Lucie I read your post on the other forum. We've decided to to for this next cycle! I ordered my meds from pharmawell this morning and apparently they will arrive tomorrow. AF is due next Friday so I'm hoping she comes on time, as too early or too late would make things very difficult! Brilliant news that you're also starting mini ivf soon. :)

Sammy how are you doing today?

Trixie!! Hello! Thanks for the congrats! Brilliant news on starting again with next AF.

Isn't it funny how we all spent months hoping af wouldn't show and now we're hoping she'll arrive so we can get going. Weird.

itsme hoping for good news on your embryos!

lucieloos · 12/07/2016 15:58

MPP, wow that's quick from Pharmawell! Did you pay extra for the next day delivery? My meds are waiting for me in my local post office today apparently. I've always just gone for the standard delivery but have found they've always arrived within 6-7 days. Glad you are getting started on your next cycle. What meds are you going to be on?

OP posts:
Borisisback · 12/07/2016 16:20

Mpp - it sounds like you are all set to go! Very exciting :)

MPP81 · 12/07/2016 17:03

Yeah I paid extra for next day because I'm due af next Friday and the person who emailed said standard delivery could take 5-10 working days and I was paranoid they wouldn't arrive in time.

The prescription says Gonal-f 900 iu/1.5ml, Gonal f 450/1.5ml, orgalutran 0.25mg/0.5ml, ovitrelle 250ml/0.5ml. My 'directions' say to start with Gonal f 150 units a day from day 2, then dosage of orgalutran and ovitrelle will be set after ultrasound. I'm hoping it will all be clear enough when it arrives! I'm excited but also a bit scared now!

How are you doing Boris? :)

Itsme247 · 12/07/2016 17:30

Embryo update;

Lost one overnight, another looks like it's on it's last legs and of the other three all have been downgraded to B's due to fragmentation; 1 is a 6 cell and 2 is a 9.

They're calling me at 09:45 on Thurs if I'm needed for egg transfer at 12:45. Doesn't sound that positive!

Itsme247 · 12/07/2016 17:35

It's brutal, it's like you've sent off your DNA to do battle and they're getting picked off one by one... Me and my DH are a great match, we're truly soul mates. Why can't our component parts get along better?

MPP81 · 12/07/2016 17:59

Oh itsme I'm so sorry it wasn't better news for you. I can't imagine how sad you must feel, but I have everything crossed that those three are little fighters and that transfer will go ahead. Thinking of you Flowers

Itsme247 · 12/07/2016 18:11

I'm just hating everyone who has a one night stand, gets pregnant and moans about it for 9 months. I hate them all.

loopylou1984 · 12/07/2016 18:12

Sorry to hear that itsme. Keeping everything crossed for your remaining 4. You never know, the straggler might surprise you.

MPP - wait till they're taking up half your fridge! Lol. Great that you're getting atarted though. And Lucie, you've got your drugs too!

I'm doing ok. Today was the work trip to the cocktail bar. Whilst my mocktail was delish I was a bit sad not to try some of the beautiful alcohol based ones. Of course it will all be worth it if I get a bfp. I think most of the people there now think I am pregnant, although I did say I was on metronidazole so some might have bought that! Xx

loopylou1984 · 12/07/2016 18:13

Itsme I hate them to. And the ones that smoke/drink/are obese/have caffeine addictions and just get pregnant at the drop of a hat!

lucieloos · 12/07/2016 18:23

Itsme, grade 2 embryos are still really good and your 2 x9 cellers some like they are doing great. My bfp was with an 8 cell which had just turned 9 on day 3. You really don't know with this game. You have age on you side. Fingers crossed for you not much longer to wait.

Sammy, sorry you couldn't enjoy the cocktails but hopefully there is a good reason for it. I can't take the suspense much longer!

Afm, I'm having a bit of a funny moment. My blood sample test has arrived and I'm having a melt down. I have no problem whatsoever with sticking any number of needles in me but the though of having to stab myself and squeeze blood out of my finger and fill 2 tubes (albeit fairly small but way more than a couple of drops) is really making me feel funny. I don't even know if I can do it. I was hoping to get DH to do it for me but the sample has to be done on the same day as posting it back so I will have to do it before work tomorrow and DH is leaving at the crack of dawn as he has to go to London Confused I wish I had paid an extra £20 now and been referred to one of their labs to have the sample drawn. Such a wuss lol.
