I'm off to bed too Mimi. Sleep well all.

ps2304 · 05/07/2016 21:25

When do you all plan to to tell your parents? I am 4 weeks on Friday according to app. DH and I are very close to our parents and want to tell them but are worried it's too early? What do you think?

raddersmrs · 05/07/2016 21:44

Personal preference ps.
We haven't told our parents yet. We are doing it on Friday after we've had a 7 week scan. Just wanted to make sure everything is looking ok before telling them.
We are really close to our parents too but we both wanted to wait in case anything happened ... If the scan on Friday isn't good then we won't tell them. Just because we don't want to put them through it all.

I can understand why some people tell their parents straight away though. You have to do what feels right Smile

ps2304 · 05/07/2016 22:05

I just don't know. I would tell them is something did go wrong as would want the support so I guess we should tell them.

Is your scan a private early one?
I can only see private early scans at our local mothercare? Doesn't seem to be anything at local hospitals?

raddersmrs · 05/07/2016 22:10

Yea we are having a private one. There's loads of places that do it round by us.

We fell pregnant before and miscarried at just over 4 weeks so I suppose after going through that we are happier waiting to have more of a confirmation things are ok. On edge a bit.
I've prepared everything to tell them tonight as we are giving them a little present. Super excited :)

ps2304 · 05/07/2016 22:12

The present sounds lovely!

Are there any signs to look for regarding miscarriage? Or do I just keep testing every so often?

Parney · 05/07/2016 22:17

I told my mother after 5 weeks to be honest she probably feels like this is the longest pregnancy already 😂 my dad and in laws were after our scan at 9 weeks. I had toyed with the idea of more emotional support but felt I would have sought it anyway from them had things gone wrong and at least that way they wouldn't have had the 'happy news' taken from them as well. Everybody is different! Really down to personal choice.. Reason we kept it longer for everyone other than my mother, is that the others find it difficult keeping the news to themselves so the shorter wait helped!

Parney · 05/07/2016 22:20

Unfortunately tests may still read positive some time after a miscarriage PS. Keep testing though as I think a line becoming fainter or disappearing in the early weeks may suggest chemical. Your lines look great though!!

ps2304 · 05/07/2016 22:25

Thank you! So is there no way of knowing of a miscarriage unless you bleed? Do you just have to wait for a scan? Sorry for all the questions!

raddersmrs · 05/07/2016 22:27

Yea my lines weren't getting darker so I had an inkling but thought a line was a line. Got a clear blue after I was late and it came up negative.
That night I got cramps and started bleeding early hours. It all happened very quick.

Your line is already getting darker so that's positive.

raddersmrs · 05/07/2016 22:31

Sometimes the baby may stop growing and you don't know until the scan
So say on Friday, they will tell me how many weeks its measuring (which should be as close to 7 as possible). If it's say 4, it probably means the baby has stopped growing really and eventually will miscarry. Or they won't see a heartbeat.
This is worse case scenario obviously!

raddersmrs · 05/07/2016 22:32

Ask away - to be honest regards the scans and miscarriages, I've learnt a lot from reading the Mumsnet threads

I just like to prepare myself and know what can happen that way I won't be as shocked and feel in the Unknown as I was when I had the chemical

Parney · 05/07/2016 22:50

I was told at my booking in appointment today to try not to stress or look up what could go wrong.. I know radders you have good reason to be anxious, but she insisted that even with a previous loss, most pregnancies go on to be normal and produce lovely thriving babies! We need to be positive!!

Parney · 05/07/2016 22:52

In saying that I was as informed as you radders, from obsessing over different threads! I must have asked lots of questions that made me sound very anxious and this is why midwife gave me the advice that she did!

raddersmrs · 06/07/2016 07:01

I'm not stressed about it to be honest. I just feel like I know the risks and am realistic about it. I think it's only natural for anyone to worry and I have my moments but I wouldn't say I'm stressed. I prefer to know because then at least if something did happen its not a complete shock. It's not to say I think something will happen either.

I was same with conception - liked to know the ins and outs! But that's just me and way I am.

Morning ladies,
Rads, parney,PS & Jodders-It's a lot to take in all the information out there, try not to worry and enjoy it. Look forward to seeing the new BFP ladies scans. Ps- are u feeling nauseous yet?

So I did an IC test and was bfn. I def felt warm again last night, and empty tummy feeling again. My breasts hurt a bit last night too. Seems to be from 4pm I feel worse and into the evening. Either it's too soon or I have something else going on- low blood sugar, anaemia? I def feel unwell each night since sat night. Weird? Temp went up again to 36.73

Footprints1 · 06/07/2016 07:19

Mimi- hope you are ok? You said you are in pain? Have you been this late before?

Jod- men worry lots and prob because u are sick it's added the pressure to him to take care of u all. Im sure he will be fine soon.

Nim- hope u get your energy for the conga shag. Grin

ps2304 · 06/07/2016 07:41

Morning everyone!

Had the odd little bit but nothing bad yet. I am 4 weeks on Friday according to my app.
Not really feeling tired or anything her. Just too excited!
Another picture sorry!! I will leave it a few more days until I test again. Is this still looking good? It's 11,12,13 dpo.

Footprints I was just logging on to ask what happened with your temp this morning. Great news it went back up, could have been an implantation dip yesterday, 9dpo-about right! In which case take no notice of the IC, perhaps test again in 3 days?? Even then, IC might not be sensitive enough. FINGERS CROSSED!
My temps are so low overall this cycle. 36.35 today, well above coverline, but would have been an AF temp a few cycles ago, so making me feel nervous x

raddersmrs · 06/07/2016 07:59

Ps - they look great!

Footprints still early days yet - still time for BFP

Tee don't feel nervous. That's the temps I had as my high temps.

I feel awful today. Just don't want to go into work. It's a struggle getting ready

Footprints1 · 06/07/2016 08:29

Tee - cannot drink a cup of decaf today, and have a very empty feeling again in my tummy almost like after too much wine. Not enough to be off my food though. Yes I did wonder if ip dip? Hope so. The hot feeling in eve is weird/ almost like my skin is sunburnt. I keep thinking this is weird - but worried I'm imagining it. So I will wait now til Friday. See if I feel weird again tonight and maybe try a FRER. It should def show then using that shouldn't it. I'd be 12dpo by then. Hope we get a full house of BFPs!!

SuchaJem · 06/07/2016 08:40

Day 21Star 5 DPO

Fingers crossed for you both tee and footprints - really hoping to see more bfps this week. I don't temp so can't offer thoughts on this - I think temping would lead to even higher levels of obsession from me so I am not going down that route.

How are you doing physics, summer, pepper, purpleowl, busta, mimi?

Wishing sticky beans to all the pregnant ladies, looking forward to seeing healthy scans.

I had a terrible nightmare last night and woke up in a state. I'm still getting some tummy pain and light headedness, and I'm quite windy... Hopes getting up a little but it's probably all too early to be anything.

Jodders · 06/07/2016 08:54

Morning all, feeling terrible. I really want everyone to join in the BFP club although I sincerely hope you don't get HG.

I feel left out with all the testing lol! I only did the one digi so didn't analyse lines at all. Should I be?
