Glad you're ok Pickled! If the first bout of spotting was a problem you would likely know by now, so by extension the second bout is probably OK too!

Gotta let you know I am now out til the end of this month 😣 but still wishing you all luck!x

harrietm87 · 08/06/2017 10:05

Oh no poppy sorry you're out. How many cycles have you been on pred?

Great news pickled I'm sure spotting is absolutely nothing to worry about. When is your next scan?

I'm cd11 today and have another 4 days before FW. Have been enjoying an EOD shag though!

PoppyJ1 · 08/06/2017 12:41

Thanks! This is my third cycle and the first two I was all over the place and didn't ovulate. This cycle I did but DP had a business trip near the start of my fertile window and I did doubt that we'd DTD close enough to O day. So I'm not disheartened about my prospects for the coming months.

pickledsausage · 08/06/2017 16:37

:( Sorry you're out @poppy but if you managed to make up for it during the middle/end there may still be a chance? It looks like I conceived the day after ovulation this time. Although I know how annoying it is getting hopes up.

Well we were going to try to hold out for the 12 week scan now but couldn't resist and are going for a private one Saturday just to make sure!! I'm fairly confident all is ok but I'd rather know sooner rather than later if something is wrong and also....I just can't wait to see them again!!xx

PoppyJ1 · 08/06/2017 17:01

I'm def out, Pickled! But thanks for your optimism x

Good luck in the scan and please do update us! If you're feeling confident that's very good; we do get a feel for these things, spooky as it sounds!

Starshine1 · 09/06/2017 07:13

Really hope all is ok pickled.

Glad you're feeling ok at the moment poppy, fingers crossed for your next cycle.

It's another short cycle for me, so currently in FW. Sorry if this is TMI- but so much conflicting info on whether you DTD every day or every other day for the best chances- what are your thoughts? DH is up for every day 😉

harrietm87 · 10/06/2017 11:24

Good luck for your scan pickled. I can't imagine going to a scan not feeling terrified - hope you're looking forward to seeing your lovely baby.

starshine my approach this month has been aiming for every other day or every 3 days until I get the flashing smiley on clearblue (in FW) and then trying every day. Also going to keep it up for a couple of days after ovulation just to be sure.

When do you start taking pred? The day after a positive opk? 2 days after?

pickledsausage · 10/06/2017 12:05

@harriet all positivity has gone out the window, I'm repeating all the scenarios over and over and even dreamt they couldn't find the baby. Brilliant. 45 mins to go.

@starshine I think every other day is recommended so that the sperm has a chance to 'regenerate' - technical term....!

pickledsausage · 10/06/2017 13:14

All went well and looking good! God the worry is just something else :( I know I'll be the same before the 12 week one too.

Love & light to you all xx

Fantastic news! Have been thinking about you today pickled! How many weeks are you now? Have a feeling you must be around 11?

Thanks ladies- some evidence says about regeneration, others say that that is no longer the case! I know there is no guarentee either way but you just want to feel you have done everything g possible don't you if you can!

I have been taking the pred the day after the positive opk Harriet as mr S said the day you ovulate so assuming it's that day.

Enjoy your Saturday evenings all

harrietm87 · 11/06/2017 19:00

Yay pickled - absolutely gorgeous! You must be so happy!

Yes starshine I've done some googling today and apparently the recommendation now is every day in the FW unless your dp does not have a normal sperm count, in which case every other day is recommended. For normal men daily is fine. I have no idea about my dh's count but since we've conceived now 4 times first time it's probably ok.

CD14 here and I think it's day 1 of FW, though not quite sure. CM is creamy but not quite EWCM yet.

Starshine1 · 13/06/2017 20:47

Hey ladies,

How is everyone getting on?

Feels like a long week here! Ended up having five day flashing on my opk and so have only just ovulated today- now entering the TWW. Really hope this is the month, but not feeling that optimistic.

Hope you're feeling ok pickled?

Hope you're now well and truly in the FW harriet.

Fingers crossed for this next cycle for you poppy.

harrietm87 · 14/06/2017 08:52

Hi starshine fx for you!!

Today is day 3 of flashing smiley for me. DH was away Monday but we dtd last night and the plan is every night for the rest of this week if we can. I so want it to work this cycle but worried about stressing myself out to the point where it doesn't!

Starshine1 · 14/06/2017 09:17

I know Harriet- I think I have been really stressed about it this time and DH and I have both felt more pressure. My cycle is completely messed up and now feel like I am not sure when I really ovulate. I temp check as well and that seems off the wall this month. Clear blue advanced opk said I O yesterday - but just not sure! Started taking steroids today and have a follow up with mr S tomorrow anyway.

Good luck for your FW Harriet and try to stay zen like (as much as you can!)😀

pickledsausage · 15/06/2017 08:15

Hi ladies! Haven't been able to find you for a few days as the toolbar at the bottom with 'threads I'm on' had disappeared!

I was supposed to be 11+1 on Saturday but she put me forward to 11+4, meaning I either ovulated early or these steroids are making a massive baby!! So I'm 12+2 by scan dates today but am going to wait and see what they say at my nuchal scan next week. Swinging between positivity and zen and utter doom that there's something wrong. Also worrying their heartbeat was too fast, it was 187 I think and the normal range says up to 180 but the sonographer didn't say anything so maybe it's ok. Who knows. There's so much to worry about. Yesterday I spent ages worrying that I'm not getting enough calcium.

All these flashing smileys sound good, everything crossed that this is your month!! Hope you all have something nice planned this weekend to keep you busy and enjoy the sun xx

harrietm87 · 16/06/2017 06:56

starshine this is day 5 of flashing smiley for me now! And this week has been hellish for me with work as I feared, so worried I won't ovulate at all. I've been getting home after midnight every night and forcing poor DH to have sex! Fx for a solid smiley tomorrow - at least I'll be able to catch up on some sleep over the weekend.

Starshine1 · 16/06/2017 08:05

Oh no Harriet! How strange we both had five days of flashes! Fx u do have your peak today! Horrible when there is so much pressure and that you've been so busy with work!

I had my fup with mr s yesterday and said about my concerns about whether I am actually ovulating as when I had my scan at st Mary's for the rmc they said I had bet yet ovulated but according to my temp and opks I had ovulated 3 days before hand. Have to now have some blood tests and a scan with mr s in my next cycle to check. Feels like one thing after another!

Sending positive vibes pickled! You're doing so well! Really happy news

pickledsausage · 17/06/2017 06:11

Hope you both got your static smiley yday and have fully worn out your partners! I'm glad Mr S is going to check you out next cycle @starshine. I have full faith in him that he will get us our babies!

harrietm87 · 17/06/2017 11:42

Well this morning it was day 6 of flashing smiley, but I've got what could be ovulation pains now so really confused. I had another work day from hell last night - in the office til midnight and didn't have opks with me so not sure whether I might've surged last night.

This week has been so horrendous though that also might have delayed ovulation, so I don't know what to do...should I keep testing with the clearblue? Or should I start the steroids? I had EWCM earlier in the week but not really now. I've never had this before - clearblue has always worked with 2-3 days of flashing then solid. Help!

Starshine1 · 17/06/2017 12:52

Harriet- it really is so confusing isn't it! Having to time this steroids! What day are you now? I have no idea what exactly you should, but if you'd have normally ovulated by now and have already had EWCM, I think I would wait one more day to see if you get a peak tomorrow with OPKs, but if not start the steroids and assume u missed testing the peak? I track temp too- know that's not particularly accurate, but I always do get a temp rise around the time I think ovulation has occurred - hopefully you'll get success this month so it won't matter, but might be worth considering for next month?

Sorry you have had such a tough week.

Hope you're keeping well pickled- yes I have faith in mr S too.
Have a good weekend all

Starshine1 · 17/06/2017 13:19

Just wondering anyone who has had fallen pregnant whilst on steroids- did you have any idea that you were pregnant? Previously I have symptom stopped (often getting it wrong) but now I have no symptoms post ovulation which I know is due to the anit inflammatory action of steroids- but just wondered if anyone felt they were pregnant before they tested?

pickledsausage · 18/06/2017 12:33

Do you get any other symptoms when you're ovulating that you could use to start your steroids? I gave up using the ovulation tests as it was all taking so bloody long and just went by when my boobs were sensitive as it seemed to coincide with when my app said I was ovulating.

@harriet hope you're having a well deserved rest this weekend!

@starshine I had an inkling when I had extra cm and sore boobs 7 days after ovulation. But as you say you end up watching out for these things every month and all too often are disappointed so I don't know if it was just coincidence. When are you testing? I loved having an excuse to test extra early.

harrietm87 · 18/06/2017 21:00

Hi pickled and star thanks for the replies. My week got worse - ended up in hospital at 1am for the out of ours GP - developed a horrendous uti during the day and know from bitter experience I need immediate treatment with antibiotics when that happens. The dr assured me it wouldn't affect conception/implantation so at least there's that.

I still had a flashing smiley today so I think I've either missed the surge or won't ovulate this month. I'm going to start the pred tomorrow on the off chance but really think it's impossible and feeling totally miserable.

pickledsausage · 19/06/2017 05:14

Oh @harriet what a week :( you poor thing.

I know it's hard, I totally understand why you'd feel like that but be nice to yourself and try to keep your chin up. Can you plan something nice to look forward to? Have you tried yoga at all? I find it a great way of keeping positive and calm. xx
