Coggy's Catch Up........

coggy · 12/01/2007 19:38

It seems FOREVER ago that I was properly on MN and obssessively ttc!
Only 2 1/2 months ago but alot has happened in that time I expect (no.....sadly no bfp from me yet!!!)
I guess that Debbsy has had her Bibsy and maybe Peachy too......BooBoo next month.....lots of other BFPs??????
Natty, MrsMc and Trace have kept me with some of the news on here.

Here's a quick catch-up with me and what is happening.....
I am CD25 of a usual 26/27 day cycle with all the classic AF signs.....cramps, tiredness, wind etc. etc. (It's nice to be back!! )
I am starting IUI this next cycle so I am only a couple of days away from that and VERY excited and VERY nervous about jabbing myself too!
I figured as well as catching up with my old ttc buddies I could also moan and groan merrily away about it all on this thread and (hopefully) get a little bit of (much needed) sympathy at the same time!!!

I am SUCH a wimp really!!!!
Roll on CD1......

Coggy - your symptoms could mean ANYTHING.
Perfectly natural to believe best one minute and the worst the next. Part of joys of ttc.

Keep the faith, girlie, we're all rooting for you. xx

coggy · 07/03/2007 22:16

Juicy ....how are you doing?
I often still think of you and your sister's family.

Booboo....you still here??!!!

ooooh coggy.......1 week to go!!!!! This time next week, we will be partying (((very hopeful emoticon)))).
I can only imagine how you are feeling, it must be million times worse than a "natural" 2 week wait, iykwim. I know how we all get with the waiting around for my sis when she has had treatment, it feels like a lifetime doesnt it? Have everything crossed and absolutely rooting for you. Think positive, try and relax, and take each day as 1 step nearer your goal.
Wannabe...i notice a hopeful tone to your post!! Good luck babes, thinking of you too.
Meanwhile, back in the land of the damned (ie, my life!!) i am on cd 38 I know af is hiding around the corner waiting to jump out on my again, its like, i know shes there, just bring it on will you?! Just give me a break from all this fannying around waiting crap. Have no hope whatsoever. For some reason, I feel so disappointed that I didnt manage it before going to gyny again (appt is next thurs, same day as coggys big day...)
Sorry to go on
If anyone has any ideas what realistically might be offered at next appt could you advise me? just to recap, pcos diagnosed May 05. Ovarian drilling to supposedly kickstart ovulation in sept06. As far as I know no ovulation occuring at all. Cycle now varying from 23 to (longest) 45 days.
sorry to hijack coggs again, but you you lot know me more than anyone else these days, if i cant ask you lot, ive no chance elsewhere!
love, hugs, and some zen relaxtion especially for coggs.
xxxx

pussycat so sorry to hear that things aren't looking any more positive for you atm. still at least you have your apt next week and they should hopefully be able to give you something else to hope for. I guess it's possible they will give you chlomid, although that will depend on one of your levels though I think although for the life of me I can't remember which. You need to actually keep your fingers crossed now though that your af doesn't arrive before then as you have to take chlomid on the 1st day of your period (or is it the second) so if you've come on it'll mean longer to wait. have you done a test this month?

Coggy the simptoms could mean anything, could be implantation cramping even. am keeping everything crossed that your af doesn't arrive.

still no simptoms here and ve bloated but am guessing that's just af around the corner lol.

I shall not test,

coggy · 08/03/2007 17:56

Right PCM.....firstly...you are not crashing anything....if you didn't post here where would we find you??!!

Secondly....I probably would agree with wannaBe that the next step may well be clomid.....I remember AtillaTMKat saying something about close monitoring with PCOS as it can cause more cysts.....if you routle (sp?) through the clomid gang thread you may well read about it....I don't think it was very long ago.

Thirdly....I understand that disappointment. I was told several times by the nurse that lots of people fell pg just before treatment and then Rubles (I think it was) fell pg the cycle before her IUI.....I wanted too as well but there we go!
Now I want to fall pg on the first cycle.....if not...the second.....and so my little ray of hope shall continue no doubt!!

BAD crampy pains now..........keep hearing about people who had AF cramps when they were pg......we hold onto anything that suits us on that particluar cycle don't we!!?!
Keep hoping it's implantation cramps wannaBe!!!

OP posts:
wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 08/03/2007 18:32

coggy I had absolutely excrutiating af type cramps when I fell pg with ds. in fact I had bleeding as well which is why I didn't actually discover I was pregnant until two weeks later lol.

pussycatmomma · 08/03/2007 19:04

hi and thanks to you both. Coggy, I am feeling really positive for you, how many times have we read that when af seems to be just around the corner it is really preg symptoms very early?? I dont want to "big you up" (!) too much, but positivity positivity and yet again i say positivity!
See, I can do it for other people, I am just rubbish and pathetic for myself .
I had thought clomid too, but like wannabe, i had reservations about pcos, is it something to do with the Lh level? I think you are on the right track wannabe. Other than that , i was wondering whether they would make me go through all the initial blood tests again (i sincerey hope not), i dont think i could bear it. Or may they do the follicle tracking, but without the clomid at first? Its just the not knowing, its driving me insane. At least, hopefully, by this time next week, i will have something to focus on , and a plan of action worked out, something to work on at least.
Oh well, only another 6 more days of misery before the next onslaught.
By the way, I did do a test, I think it was sunday, which would have been day34. Will not be doing another. I have the second of the double pack going spare, Wannabe, can i interest you my love? thats it i have stooped to the lowest ebb, plying trade with the tools of the devil!

coggy · 08/03/2007 20:51

Keep telling it to me wannaBe.....I am loving this talk of AF cramps being the exact opposite!!!

PCM.....tut, tut.....testing eh?
Why are we all so weak!!!!!!????
I am sure if it wasn't for the hcg (jab) still being in my system.....then I would have tested already!!
This is my usual LP you know.....10dpo!!

I did actually think about doing a test last week....just to see if it did come up with a bfp because of the jab!
HOW SAD IS THAT???!!
I just wanted to see one of those Clearblue digi ones say something other than NOT FLIPPIN LIKELY LUV'.....!!!!!!!

Actually...the past week hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be...it's just the slowness of the past couple of days which is getting painful!

I bet you will actually feel better when you have your appointment PCM.....although I didn't want to have the IUI....by the time it got round to me having it I was really keen to stop faffing about and get on with something...anything...that would get me marginally closer to my goal.

So wannaBe...........have you got a hpt lurking or what?!

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 09/03/2007 22:30

hello.

how's things today coggy? have been without internet all day and have been thinking i must get on in case any news ..lol.

pussycat sorry to hear of your bfn. like I said in previous post, keep fingers crossed af doesn't arrive for you until after consultant.

cd27, no spotting as per previous months, boobs are starting to be sore now though so am guessing af will be iminent, but I guess no sign is a good sign.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 10/03/2007 08:48

Morning ladies, just dropping in for a progress report.

Fingers crossed for all you lovely ladies.

xx

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 10/03/2007 11:59

morning all

coggy hope af hasn't showed and that the cramps are better now. ya know, I watched a documentary once about a fertility specialist who had tricked his patients into thinking they were pregnant, basically to fudge his figures, and one of the ways he'd done it was to get them to keep taking hcg to "support their pregnancy" thus ensuring a positive pregnancy result. When discovered, one of the journalists covering the story injected himself with hcg to prove the point and did a pregnancy test and ... voila, "congratulations mr smith, you are pregnant" lol.

am cd28, sore boobs are no more, a bit tender but nothing more than that, usually prior to af my boobs are so sore I can't take my bra off or roll over in bed without them hurting, nothing like that this month. no signs of spotting, nothing. I dare not hope. am planning to not test until next Saturday, although whether I can actually stick to that is another matter.

Bibbles · 10/03/2007 12:15

Coggy really hope the cramps are implantation cramps,if its any help i was never more certain that my af was coming i had terrible cramps, but one thing i didnt have which i usually do,was sore boobs, then i got my bfp,so here's hoping wannabe.
I really really hope you both have some good news v v soon.Coggy i keep willing the week away for you,i think of you everyday and say to myslef well another day gone for Coggy.xx

Debbsyandson · 10/03/2007 13:15

bibbles is me by the way

coggy · 10/03/2007 13:51

Funnily enough I saw Bibbles.....and thought Debbsy staright away...weird eh?!

Thank you for counting down the days...it's getting harder and slower each day now!

wannaBe...I saw that documentary too which is why I will not test too early....too much disappointment if it's a flase negative.
That consultant was telling them that the baby was being reabsorbed wasn't he? Even though some were supposedly near their 12 week scan date......how horrific for those poor ladies.

Well no real cramps today but rather alot of wind ( sorry TMI!!)but that's also quite usual around AF...so no point symptom spotting.....I will not, I will not......

OP posts:
coggy · 10/03/2007 13:52

Not quite sure what a flase is......but I don't want one anyway!!!!

OP posts:
coggy · 10/03/2007 13:52

Hey.....how are you SOL?

OP posts:
wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 10/03/2007 14:09

that's right coggy he said the baby was being "resorbed" by the woman's body. how horrible. he also donated his own sperm for each insemination which resulted in him having fathered 79 children in the same town. what a nut.

erm ... is wind a simptom then? cause I have it horrendously, and never have that around af ... no I shall not test ... I shall resist ... resist ... resist....

coggy, you have 5 sleeps, or is that 4 get-ups, until testing, am sooo hoping for you that your af doesn't make an appearance.

Debs hows things going with you?

Debbsyandson · 10/03/2007 14:43

brill thanks wannabe kai is 3 mths old tomorrow i went out last nigt with my girlfriends so got a big big hangover today lol

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 10/03/2007 17:35

Coggy, I am fine. Knackered and feeling v uncomfortable now, but can't complain.
I was telling dh about you last night, and he was so sorry to hear the nightmare you have been through.

So hoping things are positive.

xx

coggy · 11/03/2007 13:20

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 11/03/2007 19:41

Cogs, edd is 28th April, so 7 weeks to go.

Good luck Wannabe!

Juicylucytoo · 11/03/2007 19:49

Hi Girls, Managing not to test?

Hoping stinky AF stays away for you and you have a BFP by the end of the week

Coggy, sis is doing pretty well considering. Still has lots of "moments", but is coming to terms with it. I try not to think about it too much ATM, as pg hormones set me off big style. Everyone is just trying to get on and make the most of what we have.

Fingers crossed for you all xx
