Oh something else with Eve prim is that I don't think it's recommended to take after ovulation as it can cause uterine contractions. I may be thinking of something else though so you may want to check.

Gah pensions ShockConfusedShockConfused. That is all.

well done for smacking the rat loopy :o sounds like it was perfect timing!

I finally got to hear the heartbeat today :o The mw has also booked all my appointments with her up until I'm 40+3 Shock and said its perfectly OK to fly at the moment but I need to wear support socks! She also said that they don't give preggos the whooping cough vaccine here (I asked) but I had it as a Child (the illness not the vaccine) so hopefully I still have antibodies to pass on to the baby

Imps9 · 17/06/2016 10:42

How organised Beedles! And how lovely to hear the heartbeat!

I've finally managed to book my 25 week MW appt. I'd phoned the MW team 3 times over the past week & left a message (they don't seem to answer the phone) asking them to call to arrange the appt but hadn't heard back - in the end I phoned the GP surgery and spoke to a MW there who told me that I have to book the appt with the surgery reception rather than the MW team Confused And they only do appts on two mornings a week, which all clashed with work stuff. Luckily one work thing I've been able to cancel. At least I know all of this stuff for the next appt.

imps It is very organised when i compare it to your experience! I've managed to get mainly 8:30 appointments so I can have a Little lay-in and go straight there on my way to work! Apart from the ones right at the end once I'll be on maternity leave, they're a bit later in the morning!

Imps9 · 20/06/2016 20:18

Hello lovely Brookers. How are we all doing?

All good here - 22 weeks now. Starting to look at buggies and discuss names. B-B is quite lively which is nice - Mr Imps felt kicks for the first time the other day - he was dead excited, but managed to cover it up with a manly "Well. There we are then." Grin

Loops are your symptoms gearing up yet? And Geek how is your sickness?

Are you back from your hols Keep? V glad there's been no more mention of the Zika virus in Europe. Hopefully it will stay that way so I don't have to fret during our hols to France.

Can we have some up to date bumpies please?

OP posts:
ControlGeek · 21/06/2016 07:12

Arf@"Well there we are then"! Slightly better than my response in my twenties when I felt a friend's baby kick for the first time - "god that's weird" Grin

So jealous of all of these holidays - when is yours imps? MrG is in a very poor way just now so I have cancelled the annual leave I'd booked for this week - I am refusing to use any more leave for medical purposes or looking after people. I haven't had a holiday that was 'just' a holiday since October 2014!

I am now officially in my second trimester :) 14w3d. Very few days of sickness now, but the evening nausea still means MrG is banished to the kitchen with the door closed for his tea while I scoff my cornflakes. Lots of rlp and wind pain, no baby movement yet and I don't think I'll feel it for a while. I realised I have no sensation in the lower half of my belly following my various operations, so I'm unlikely to feel anything short of the most violent kicks down there. Definitely bumpie time again, I'll try and take one tonight.

How's everybody else doing? Beedle are your flutters going well?

keepitgoing · 21/06/2016 08:48

Hi all back from a wonderful holiday, that's me done flying for a bit!

Yes any more flutters beedle?

geek great you are joining us in the second trimester, I'll be leaving next week... So pleased you're feeling a bit better. Sorry to hear mrg isn't well

loopy oh my goodness I'm so glad all was OK with the lump, your body has been having so many hormones. Here's hoping for this month

imps any good boy names I can steal...? Finding them vv hard again. Lovely for mrimps, it is quite weird to feel/see from the outside

All good here, this baby is super active, am not thinking I've got myself a good sleeper this time round, ah well who needs it. Big milestone was 24 weeks, viability,

Hips/back v sore after having to lug exhausted kip through airport. We were 8+ hours delayed and got home at 6am. Cancelling my days work right now...

Imps9 · 21/06/2016 10:06

Ooooh welcome home Keep!! Glad you had a fabulous time despite delays. Are you 25 weeks now? Gosh, time is flying. I think boys names will be a challenge - we'll be fine with girls names.

So sorry Mr G isn't doing well Geek. Is he in hospital or at home? You bloody well deserve a proper holiday - can you get anything in the diary?

I have 2 weeks away before due date - one in Suffolk in July and one in France in Sept. We're taking the Eurostar in Sept just in case there are any issues with flying. Plus I like train journeys!

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 21/06/2016 10:30

Imps I'm at my parents' in Suffolk in July!!

Imps9 · 21/06/2016 11:07

Ooooooh! Small world!!

OP posts:
ControlGeek · 22/06/2016 09:40

Welcome back keep! Gosh, you're nearly in the final stretch! Sorry you've had to come back to such rotten weather though... Grin

Bumpie attached, the bloating is going right down now and I think this might be the start of my real bump (I was sucking my stomach in as hard as I could in the photo)

We are jolly well going to get and stay diffed this month and we are BROOKING NO ARGUMENT.
keepitgoing · 22/06/2016 10:46

Yep that's a proper bump geek! Yay!! Not long till your gender scan I'm going boy.

Don't know about the final stretch, there is hopefully a long way to go and the last bit it physically hardest. My back is really suffering since contorted sleeping round kip on an airport. Hard to know if I should do nothing or keep it moving

Imps9 · 22/06/2016 11:05

Can you try to get a referral to an osteopath Keep?

Excellent bump Geek! And lovely frock too. I'm going "boy" too!

keepitgoing · 22/06/2016 13:01

Never been to one imps are they good? I was doing pretty well until the weekend and doing plenty of exercise. Hopefully it will get better again. Last time the nhs did refer to a phsio but the appt didn't come through till after I'd given birth. Am seeing mw on Friday so will see

I have to reapply for my job, a 'restructure'. Fabulous

Imps9 · 22/06/2016 14:53

No idea Keep - have never been to one either! And I was going to say that with waiting lists as they are you'd probably only get an appt after the birth! See what the MW says. Maybe even a nice massage would help?

Bollocks to work restructure - how annoying.

Had a quick look and can't see that this has been posted already. The NCT are having a closing down sale with 75% off. There isn't much left but it may be useful for one of you here

Imps9 · 23/06/2016 07:31

Oooh I didn't know the NCT shop was closing down Pasta. I think we're pretty much there for absolute essentials thanks to some great hand-me-downs. We've pretty much narrowed our buggy choices down to 2 and will road-test them in a few weeks before buying. Other stuff we'll just get as and when we identify a need for it.

Here's my 22 week bumpie... it gets bigger as the day goes on!

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 23/06/2016 09:04

Thanks pasta will take a look

Lovely bump imps! You're a great shape. Exciting to have all the stuff. What buggies are you thinking of? We had the bugaboo bee for kip but it broke on a plane, also need to give it back to my sister who has recently instadiffed for the third time (...) Think I'll just get whatever 2nd hand one I can find on eBay locally, I just want it with a carrycot this time, and also to parent face. Kip was in our McLaren by 6m, so it prob won't be for long.

My task for the weekend is sorting through loads of donated baby clothes, and splitting some for my brother. Baby clothes are so teeny!!

Imps9 · 23/06/2016 12:10

Ahhh I have a friend who was a 3-time instadiffer. It's a different world out there isn't it?

On paper the choice is between the Baby Jogger City Mini GT or the Baby Jogger City Versa GT. We may change our minds completely but those two tick pretty much all of our boxes features-wise whereas every other buggy seems to have something major missing from our wish-list.

"All" the stuff we have amounts to clothes and blankets (or promises of hand-me-downs), a offer of a travel cot, an offer of a full-size cot, and that's it. That's all we'll need isn't it Wink Grin

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 23/06/2016 12:39

You will all have your babies before you know it, you all have lovely bumps.

Good buggy choices Imps. We have a baby jogger city select, which is just as good now as when we first bought it in 2010 and other than being a tad heavy to lift up and over into my old Focus boot (not an issue in our people carrier though) I can't fault it at all and have never regretted buying it.

Sounds like you need to go on a shopping spree imps. Nappies, muslins, wipes, sleeping bags for starters lol

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 23/06/2016 12:44

And don't forget car seat else you won't be allowed home!

As for me, have had some pressure and sensations yesterday so fingers crossed. Only 5dpo so won't be testing for ages! Have decided either my lining is buggered and nothing will ever properly implant, or it's just a numbers game and if I throw enough fertilised eggs at my uterus one of them will eventually be a good one!

I asked my GP to refer me to Coventry to see if they can either include me for any of the Tommys research or to see if there is anything else they can do for me, and the appointment came through today and it's for the 15th July so just hope my mom will mind DS2.

I had an interview yesterday and got to wait until Friday to find out, but he said the next step would be an assessment day, just hope if I get to that stage that it doesn't happen on the 15th!

Imps9 · 23/06/2016 13:15

Great stuff about the Tommy's appt Loopy and fingers massively crossed for both a sticky BFP this month and a job offer!

I lump car seat into the same category as buggy as we'll buy them together. Am v pleased you like your Baby Jogger - always good to have positive feedback.

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 23/06/2016 14:16

It is a different world. Imagine being able to choose when your baby would be born, or know that you can have one/another one. It still gets me.

imps that sounds like most of it! Maybe a sling. But you have the essentials then can just get other stuff after birth. Ooh somewhere for them to sleep downstairs in the day, could be travel cot though, or pram

loopy lots of luck for both the job and a sticky one. Really pleased your appointment has come through though hopefully you'll be 6 weeks by then.

Imps9 · 23/06/2016 14:40

Oh yes, a sling. I very much like the look of the Ergo Baby with newborn insert. May try to find a second hand one online though as new they're £140 or so Shock

Will get a carry cot with the pram - I had intended on using that in our room for sleeping for the first 6 months, but the Baby Jogger carry cots say that they're not suitable for overnight sleeping, which is annoying. Will prob just use the travel cot or find a second-hand Moses basket.

I still hold out hope of having 2 DCs. Not got my heart set on it and we'll be fine if it doesn't happen, but it would be nice if possible.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 23/06/2016 14:41

Oh! And baby monitor. Would quite like one of those.
