beedles it does quickly get boring. Choice is limited really and you don't want to spend a fortune on stuff you won't get much wear out of. Have you looked at next?

Imps9 · 02/06/2016 20:54

Aaaaah just got back from yoga which was exactly the tonic I needed after a frantic and frustrating day. Two of the ladies came in with their newborns to tell their birth stories and show off their bubs - it was lovely! One had an absolutely blissful sounding home birth, and the other one had an EMCS when she was 7cm dilated as the baby hadn't moved down for 2 hours. Ahhh twas lovely.

Keep how was the monitor? Is this an historical condition or something brought on by being diffed?

I've not really embraced the mat clothes shopping yet - have a couple of bits from H&M and the JoJo wrap top on its way but apart from trousers, most other things still fit for the moment. I don't mind buying casual mat clothes, it's mat work clothes that I object to spending money on - I resent that at the best of times, even when I will get lots of wear out of something. Oh well, they will just have to get used to me putting the emphasis on "casual" in the "smart casual" dress code. At least we don't have to wear suits - now that would irk if I had to buy any of them.

Right, think I might do some crochet and catch up on Springwatch.

i just read that final sentence again - fucking hell how old am I? Confused Blush

keepitgoing · 02/06/2016 21:38

Maybe just 1 or 2 work skirts, plus tops that can do out of work imps. Tbh I wore normal tops till the end last time just with a long vest (primary etc) under

Heart monitor was fine, returned it today. Of course I only felt a few flutters yesterday but loads tonight, typical!! I have Dr appointment today and they said they'd try and get the results then but I am dubious. It's just from pregnancy imps, am hoping they'll just have a look and discharge back to mw

beedle that dress is pretty but I know what you mean. I resent spending money just for 4 ish months. Am still mostly in normal clothes too, just wearing skirts a bit higher, tights lower etc. Very glam, me...

keepitgoing · 02/06/2016 21:39

Appt is tomorrow, obviously, not tonight. That would be odd

Imps9 · 03/06/2016 08:21

Ooooh I had the best sleep last night. It's a non-working day for me today and I didn't wake up until 8!

Hope your heart's all fine Keep. It would be a quick turnaround if they had the results back today.

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 03/06/2016 09:36

Hope the appointment goes well today keep

Glad you had a Lovely sleep imps and enjoy your day off.

trix I've looked at Next but I'd have to pay for returns - which could be rather expensive, but something to consider if we come to England over the summer.

I met a friend for lunch yesterday with her month old daughter - so I had some Lovely sleepy newborn cuddles. Unfortunately they live on the other side of the country so not much chance for maternity leave meet-ups.

I got home last night and tried on the other 2 items in my asos parcel, and quite surprisingly they both fitted! a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of chinos. Maybe not my first choice for trousers but both underbump and fit me so I will have a proper try on at the weekend at see what else in my wardrobe they will go with and then decide. I've also found a skirt I quite like, but I thought I might have a look in Town over the weekend to see if I can find some non-maternity shorts/skirt with elasticated waists.

Oh and I've felt a few bubbles in my tummy that might possibly have been kicks - Always when I'm concentrating on something else so I'm not completely sure (it could just be wind!)

Imps9 · 03/06/2016 09:39

Noooo they will definitely be kicks Beedles!!!!! So exciting!

keepitgoing · 03/06/2016 12:16

Ooh jealous of 8am wake up imps! Enjoy your day off in the sunshine

Ooh beedle they will be teeny kicks, how lovely

Well unsurprisingly my appointment was a waste of time as the ECG wasn't back. I'll see them again at 28 weeks for my anti d anyway. If there's a problem when it is reported I guess they'll ring. Grr

ControlGeek · 03/06/2016 15:10

Yay for an 8am lie in imps!

I'm so jealous of all your casual dress codes, my office insists on formal office attire so ebay is currently my friend. Luckily I can still get away with some of my pre-pg work jackets though my norks have outgrown at least two

keep sorry your appointment was a waste of time, I hope your results come back all clear.

I have learned three things today:

1 - Sea bands don't work, despite their extortionate price.

2 - Sick bags can leak.

3 - Midwives don't always want your wee.

I think it was number 3 that shocked me most Grin

ControlGeek · 03/06/2016 15:28

beedle how did I miss you're getting kicks?! Oh yay lovely, amazing milestone :)

Imps9 · 05/06/2016 09:14

Every day's an education Geek! Not liking the sound of leaking vom bags though Shock

Hope you're having nice weekends. Having spent 2 solid days gardening, I have Gardener's Thigh this morning - my muscles are so stiff it's unbelievable!

Sick again this morning but am feeling lots of stretching so my theory about vomming accompanying a Barry-Baxter growth spurt has not yet been disproven.

Feeling more movements Beedles? I didn't really feel many yesterday - is it normal for the strength/frequency to come and go so much in the early days?

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 05/06/2016 12:05

Yeah course it is imps, depends which part he's kicking how much you'll feel it. I've read you should only start monitoring kicks from 25+ weeks

Imps9 · 06/06/2016 17:44

Grrrr had 5 missed calls from a client on my phone from the last 12 minutes - then a snotty voicemail with the last call saying "I've tried to contact you at least 5 times today and am disappointed you haven't got back to me". Wtf? I was away from my phone for 12 minutes! Haven't had any other contact from him today. Idiot.

Sorry, just had to share. How are we all today?

OP posts:
cartoontrickster · 06/06/2016 20:14

Urgh I hate people like that imps wouldnt work be nicer without them!
It was stifling in my office today, it's a small place so opening the front door and putting a couple of fans on is the extent of our 'air conditioning'
I'm 10wks now which means I can start weaning off the pred in 2wks I cannot wait! I really hope my appetite quickly returns to normal I've never been so hungry and I'm sure it wasn't this bad when I was on the pres previously.
loopy how are you? Feeling more positive I hope.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 07/06/2016 06:39

I'm nicely relaxed after a long weekend :o

I dreamt about the baby last night, I'm not sure if it was a boy or a girl, but I was worried that I hadn't bought it anything. And my boss was trying to get me to come back to work a week after giving birth!

trix we had a mini-heatwave last week, nice but my journeys home were really warm and sweaty.

imps is it your scan on Friday?

Imps9 · 07/06/2016 07:01

Scan is tomorrow Beedles. Feeling really quite anxious about it. Glad the waiting for it is over soon though. What day is yours next week?

Glad you had a nice long weekend. I did too (was off work on Friday) and had enough energy to do loads which was nice.

10 weeks already Trix! I hope you get your normal appetite back soon. I am so pleased that mine came back and that I enjoy, and can keep down, healthy food again. Plus the odd ice cream and cake of course.

Luckily wanky clients like the one yesterday are few and far between. God I am so disinterested in work now though. I don't enjoy my career at the best of times but at the moment I actually resent it. I absolutely love where I work, it's just the work that I hate. I'm hoping that I will have some sort of epiphany on mat leave which will tell me exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Loops how are you getting on? And Belle and Minty if you're lurking? Let us know how you are.

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 07/06/2016 07:49

Mine's wednesday next week, so not too much longer to wait. I'm brooking that Everything is fine with B-B tomorrow. I'm not really anxious yet, but obviously still half expecting that something will be wrong

keepitgoing · 07/06/2016 08:52

I feel the same imps but in fact it's worse post m/l because I don't want to do any job where the hours are bad, so it limits my options a lot

Ooh scan day tomorrow. Good luck! It's scary but a long vely long scan. Are you going to find out the sex? What time is it?

trix coming off the drugs will be fab I hope you start to feel better then

geek is it your official 12 week scan soon?...

loopy hope you had a lovely half term with your boys.

Imps9 · 07/06/2016 09:00

My mind is telling me that something is definitely going to be wrong - I just can't override that thought at the moment. Luckily I only really have this anxiety in the run-up to scans, I'm quite calm and relaxed about it all the rest of the time.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 07/06/2016 11:21

It's at 10.30am tomorrow. We won't find out the sex, unless it's by accident!

Yes, work stuff is a worry. I would like to re-train but have no idea as what. I've been like this for years though - I just need to blimin' well do something about it.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 07/06/2016 13:54

In a rare display of openness, I've been talking to some colleagues about how worried I am about tomorrow's scan and they've actually been really comforting. It's not like me to talk about B-B or personal stuff at work but I'm glad I have today as it's been nice to get it off my chest.

When's your next MW appt Keep? And are you meeting with the consultant or will that only happen if there's something in your heart results that need looking at?

OP posts:
ControlGeek · 07/06/2016 15:20

Good luck for tomorrow Imps, and for your scan next week Beedle. It's perfectly normal to worry before the scan Imps but all will be well, you're doing great my lovely.

I've pretty much switched off from caring about work too, though part of that might be that my job has changed so much from when it was fun and I enjoyed it. Everything seems so insignificant and unimportant now!

trix not long now lovely, you'll soon be off those pesky pills. I took my last pill/injection/bum bullet last Friday. It feels good, but weird, like I've forgotten to do something each day. When's your next scan booked for?

Bah to the wanky client, five times in twelve minutes?! Honestly!

It was my 12 week scan today keep and all is well - though Geekling is proving an uncooperative little bugger and I was made to prance up and down stairs like an extra out of Fantasia. S/he also had a really bad case of hiccups for the entire duration of the scan, which made us both laugh lots. NT scan measurements were fine (2.0 from memory) and CRL from what they could measure (did I say s/he was being uncooperative?) was a day ahead of my IVF dates.

ControlGeek · 07/06/2016 15:20

Scan pic!

We are jolly well going to get and stay diffed this month and we are BROOKING NO ARGUMENT.
keepitgoing · 07/06/2016 15:23

I'm the same imps wish I had a vocation. Tbh I am not using my talents/at the moment, it's a bit depressing, but not too long till m/l and I'll sort it out later

1030 is good, not too long to wait

My next mw appt is at 25wks, would be at 24 but I'm away... Seeing consultant at 28 (when I also get anti D) but I'm assuming if anything terrible shows on my heart trace they would be in touch before then... Am hoping that'll be my last appt at the hospital, the waits are dreadful!

Have you felt any more kicks beedle? :)
