I believe so beedle I had the hormone drip so I guess that helped but still the midwife was totally unprepared!

keepitgoing · 26/05/2016 10:50

trix tell me about it. Mine was natural and 4 hours so I am actually very worried it will be ridiculous this time, mrkeep will be at work, what if I have s with me. Trying to bury my head but actually proper scared and going to train myself in delivering own baby! If yours isn't induced surely it may well be slower?!

Glad your booking went well! Extra scans are always good. Sil is having the first boy (unless mine is too..) in this generation

Imps9 · 26/05/2016 10:52

I've got these in two colours - they're super comfy and lightweight and should be good for chillier summer days. I think I will do without jeans as I struggle to find any that fit me at the best of times.

Scan is on 8 June so just shy of two weeks. Starting to feel nervous but that's natural.

Will catch up properly later - just about to head into a netting.

Ooo I like those imps
That's what I had thought keep but midwife said not Confused. Best you get to that hospital as soon as you feel a twinge!
How lovely a boy!

ControlGeek · 26/05/2016 17:03

I can't see them imps it just takes me to the H&M countries page :(

keep and trix you'd both better start practicing keeping your legs crossed, I think! Two hours trix... Is it for definite that MrK won't be around, keep? Or just a risk? Is there anyone else who could take you to hospital if need be?

Is it time for more bumpies? I feel like it's been ages (or maybe that's just because time is dragging just now!)

BeedlesPineNeedles · 27/05/2016 09:37

geek if you hover over imps link you can see the Product number (starts 0244) then you can type it into search on the h & M page once you've persuaded it you are in England. I have the same problem I thought it was just due to me being in a foreign land!

imps I had an image of someone chasing you with a huge butterfly net - I hope you managed to escape :o

keepitgoing · 27/05/2016 09:38

No he may well be at home geek and is only 25min cycle/car but unlikely to be able to leave immediately, got to finish seeing that patient I suppose.

Show us yours and I'll show you mine

ControlGeek · 27/05/2016 18:50

Haha I missed imp's netting fun! Thanks for the pointer on how to get H&M to behave, I'll do that after posting this.

keep that's good news that it's not definite that MrK won't be there, you had me worried for you.

trix how's life with you? When's your next scan? Are your symptoms progressing nicely?

Geekling's merrily growing away at a rapid rate of knots - I'm 10w6d today but he's measuring 11w5d!!!! It's too early to worry about gestational diabetes isn't it? I have a low lying placenta but they said not to worry at this stage as it will most likely move us as the uterus grows.

Bloaty (sucked in) and geekling pics attached :)

Pastamancer · 27/05/2016 19:53

Growth scans are notoriously inaccurate so try not to worry too much about it.

CountessOfStrathearn · 28/05/2016 12:13

Growth scans are actually pretty accurate, especially in the early stages around +/- 1 week, which sounds fine for you, geek. It is in the later stages/third trimester that the difference can be a bit more marked, so an individual result is often not completely helpful but the trend is important over repeated scans if there is concern.

As for gestational diabetes, it is all related the hormones from the placenta with it only really showing from 24-28 weeks in the blood tests. If it is picked up then, then treating it (with diet/metformin/insulin as appropriate) will really, really help.

Anyway, enough medical chat from me...

CountessOfStrathearn · 28/05/2016 12:15

So actual news from me for those of you not on FB.

DS2 was born on Wednesday by emergency section after turning transverse during labour! It was all a bit of a rush in the end but we are both fine (I'm in a bit of pain but managing a lot more) and he is a delight!

keepitgoing · 29/05/2016 18:57

Ooh wow wonderful countess; congratulations!!

geek that sounds fine, small measurements make a big difference. Even most low placentas at 20 weeks move. So pleased for you. Can't be long till your official 12 week scan! Will you be telling people after that? Love the pic, that's a proper baby in there, hey!

I had the first person who didn't know ask me when the baby is due. Big milestone! :)

Imps9 · 30/05/2016 08:21

Well done Countess!! Doesn't sound like your textbook sneeze birth but glad you are both healthy and doing well :) Congratulations to the whole Countess family Flowers

Hope everyone's having a top bank holiday weekend. Sorry if it's not a bank holiday for you today Beedles...

BeedlesPineNeedles · 30/05/2016 09:00

Did you have a nice weekend away imps? No bank holiday here today, but I do have next monday instead.

Congratulations countess, the Pictures on FB of Ds2 with his siblings were Lovely - DS1 looked very proud :o

Woohoo keep you must be looking properly pregnant now, my bump is still fairly hidden if I'm not wearing something skintight and even then I could just be fat!I'm going to wear my new JoJo dress to work tomorrow so we'll see if anyone notices!

I really need some shorts - I can't spend the whole summer borrowing mrB's sports shorts!

Imps9 · 30/05/2016 17:37

Yes it was completely ace Beedle! Lots of culture, food, walking and laughing with friends - not sure what else you could need!

This deffo calls for a bumpie update Keep and the rest of you. Trix have we had one from you yet?

OP posts:
Imps9 · 30/05/2016 17:39

Here's mine - still much bigger than I had expected at just shy of 19 weeks (thank god I decided not to keep it quiet at work until my 20 week scan!). Some of it will be flab as I'm exercising less but not eating any less. Haven't weighed myself for a while though - will do that tomorrow morning I think.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 30/05/2016 17:40

Oh and please ignore any armpit stubble you can see in the photo - didn't take my razor away with me and forgot to buy one when I was out there. I'm such an attractive lady.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 30/05/2016 17:41

Oh and the above photo is with bloat sucked in Grin

OP posts:
cartoontrickster · 30/05/2016 18:18

Imps I'm finding my pit and leg hair is growing quicker now! Rather annoying.
No bumpie from me yet, nothing to see really just a roly poly belly haha! I'm constantly starving or munching my way through the nausea Blush I dread to think what I've gained!
I have a scan and drip tomorrow.
Congratulations countess

cartoontrickster · 30/05/2016 19:42

Ok what the heck Here is my 'flabbie'! I'm in my pjsSmile

We are jolly well going to get and stay diffed this month and we are BROOKING NO ARGUMENT.
keepitgoing · 30/05/2016 19:44

Great bump imps!! I'll post mine - have just had fish and chips!.. Are you back?

Good luck tomorrow trix! Is this your 12 week scan? Are you doing OK?

keepitgoing · 30/05/2016 19:46

Ditto armpit hair

Imps9 · 30/05/2016 20:14

Great bumpie Trix. Deffo not a flabbie.

And your bump has really popped out since your last bumpie Keep. Blimey, still can't believe that so many of us have struck it lucky so far this year. Long may the Brookers' luck continue.

Pastamancer · 30/05/2016 20:25

You are all so thin. Just for fun I'm adding a picture of me pg with DD2. She was born 1 month and 1 day after this photo

Imps9 · 30/05/2016 20:35

Ha ha great photo Trix! What a magnificent bump :) I keep forgetting how much bigger I'm going to get assuming that all goes well at the scan next week. Which it will Imps so stop panicking. I already feel massive and I'm not even halfway yet! Much bump-based fun and discomfort still to be had :)
